My wife and I did a lot of research collecting and formulating in advance our goals for our kitchen remodel. Steve Shinn and Aaron Thomas were extremely professional in every phase of the project. Our 1981 semi-custom home in Tempe was not an open floorplan by design. Steve listened and looked at all our research and together we came up with solutions that met our expectations and budget. Steve applied the classic work space triangle concept that is the cornerstone to making our new kitchen chef friendly. He included some extras like the pull out vertical pantry cabinets, deep appliance drawer cabinets and two waist-high spice drawers that are all utilized daily. Soffits were removed to allow full height upper cabinets greatly expanding cabinet capacities.

We wanted the warm look and feel of wood cabinetry. In particular we liked the minimum reveal look associated with modern European style cabinets. Steve did trade-off comparisons for us on locally crafted vs factory cabinets from the east coast. The local source worked out well as some unplanned adjustments were quickly crafted with little delay to the project.

We further challenged Steve with our lighting and power requirements. We have zoned ceiling lighting with small LED can lights as LED's were then becoming reasonably priced. All the appliance power outlets are hidden under the cabinets and under the granite breakfast bar. This solution allowed for a plug free stainless steel continuous backsplash with under cabinet mounted LED lighting.

In summary: Our experience using Homework Remodels was beyond our expectations. They should be high on your list to talk to and see if they can be the solution you have been looking for your remodel.

I never felt pressured to do anything out of the scope of planned work, I was well informed and educated about any issues that arose and again the work was finished on time and budget. This resulted in us having a final design and price from them in less than half the time with even more attention to our needs and to how we would use our kitchen. Although we don’t have the biggest or most expensive kitchen, Josh and Jeff made us feel like they were genuinely excited about working with us on the project, and you can tell that they really care about their clients.

A basic professional that is knowledgeable, expert and also terrific to work with! Remodeling a cooking area is such a huge bargain that we put it off for quite time. The planning was really extensive. We had a terrific exchange of suggestions to ultimately develop the style and products we wanted and the end result shows it. We have a kitchen area remodel that is perfect for our household and also way of living.

Getting my drywall repaired in my bathroom and garage was easy once I called this company. I first had an appointment for one of their team members who came over and took some pictures. Later the same day I received an estimate that was reasonable considering the amount of work that needed to be done. I was looking for a handyman in Phoenix and these guys were the first I called. I’m from California but I own a few properties in Phoenix AZ and needed a handyman to do regular maintenance and repairs on my properties. First visit Jake showed up and gave me the breakdown over the phone with the repairs I needed and told me it will take him about a week to get everything done. HE WAS DONE IN TWO DAYS did all the stucco patches, drywall repairs and paint interior and exterior. Since than I’ve been using Jake on all of my projects, we have been working together for over 2 years and I can’t say enough good words about these guys and Jake particularly. Last project he did for me was a 850 SF home addition on a rental property and him and his crew did such an amazing job! if you looking for a Phoenix Handyman or general contractor, you can’t go wrong with these guys!!! I would like to say a big Thank you to Jerry & Bart for work done on my exterior patio shade on 03/23/23. I purchased shades from a reputable company who did the install but left large gaps due to a slope in my roof. I called this company & was willing to pay extra to have it reinstalled only to be advised it could not be done due to this slope. Jerry & Bart came to the rescue and reinstalled the shade to perfection. Not only were they early for the appointment (which we appreciated) but they provided superior customer service @ a reasonable price-much less than we expected. We are grateful that we discovered Ace Handyman Services and will be calling again for other home repair projects we have in mind for the future. Thanks again.
