Best Interior Remodel in Phoenix AZ

My existing walk-in shower developed a crack in the corner grout after only about two years following my new-build house being completed. The water had been slowly leaking into the connecting wall, causing the baseboard to bubble and discolor. At that point, I was adamant about replacing the whole thing with a groutless design, and having everything done right the first time. I researched three different companies to remodel my whole shower area. AZ BathMasters won the bid due to their reputation for quality, but they also came out on top in overall value. Both of the other companies offered inferior-quality materials, with one of them quoting an estimate significantly above AZ BathMasters' price. It was an easy decision. And AZ BathMasters didn't disappoint. What an excellent team with great synergy. Scotty was right there at the start of the job and throughout to ensure the integrity of the design--he prevented me from making a pretty significant mistake in what I had originally envisioned, and even offered some other design modifications that improved the overall aesthetics even more! Matt and his team performed the actual work, and I couldn't be more pleased with the level of care, expertise, and workmanship. Matt himself realized, right in time before implementing it, that there was one element of the design that should be adjusted to make it even better--and Scotty concurred. Make no mistake, this team is at the top of their game. With that said, I always like to offer some feedback on how to make the whole experience even better, and as a few others have pointed out, perhaps more contact between the original time of estimate and when the actual work begins would help address any concerns customers may have (especially if the estimated start date is going to be a bit off for whatever reason). Otherwise, I strongly recommend this company to perform the work you have in mind with the quality you would expect.

Recently bought a house with a porch post that was heavily damaged due to termites and water over the years, which caused my roof to lean.

Called Handyman Connection and Patrick came out and was very friendly and no nonsense, and got me an estimate by the end of the day. He fixed it the following week and did an amazing job! Thanks Patrick!

Wow. I can't say enough about this company and their employees. From the very first meeting I knew my research had paid off. Eric and Angela helped me pick out details and style when I was unsure but were never pushy. They were also incredibly accommodating with my crazy work schedule. Steve the project manager was great and I always had him as a point of contact if I had any questions. And Oscar and Blake were incredible workers. They let me know every day when they were on their way and when they had left. And they cleaned after every single day. If I ever move or need another remodel they will be my first call. After working with other remodel companies and big box stores, I learned my lesson the hard way...Retro Pro is the way to go!! Do yourself a favor and call them. You won't regret it!

Brian Moore and his crew of guys come on time, work hard all day, know what they are doing, communicate effectively (in English), leave the home clean every day, honor their estimates, and produce a fantastic finished result. They have done work in my kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, laundry room, and back yard. I am happy with all of it and I am asking them to come back and do more. Brian is full of excellent ideas about how to accomplish goals and how to prioritize projects to stay within budget. He is a personable guy who is a pleasure to work with. I appreciate that he takes the time to listen, understand goals, and then suggest the best and most cost efficient ways to achieve those goals. I asked Brian to hold onto keys to my house between projects – while I wait a month for some doors I custom ordered to be delivered. Brian is a contractor I have hired for multiple jobs. I intend to hire him again. I am willing to trust him around my valuables unattended and with keys to my house. That is the highest endorsement I can give someone. If you hire him, you will be happy.

KLB remodeled my kitchen and dining room. They were professional and timely in their work. Easy to work with as I added things during the project. I will be using them again when I'm ready to do my bathrooms.

We are very happy with our bathroom remodel. We wanted more storage space so a pocket door replaced the regular door, and cabinets were extended to the wall. Our almost 30 year old bathroom got a much needed update to fit our needs. Premier Kitchen and Bath kept us apprised of everything that was happening with the remodel, and everyone who came to the house to work was very professional, polite, and nice. Bruce did a fabulous job of working on the design and colors for our bathroom. The project manager, Kent, always let us know who would be coming in to work on specific days. We are looking forward to having them remodel our kitchen in the near future.

I am not blowing smoke when I say this squad absolutely crushed our kitchen and flooring remodel. Kyle and his team provided top quality work with the utmost professionalism. My wife and I relocated to Gilbert, AZ from California in December 2021. We purchased a house that needed updating and promptly started looking for local contractors because we wanted to remodel prior to fully moving in. During our research, we came across Capital Mark Interiors. We were absolutely astonished by the projects showcased on the website, and we knew that we wanted to snag this team for our remodel. We vetted multiple remodeling companies before we selected McCurdy Construction- and SO GLAD WE DID. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than working with the amazing & talented group like this company. This was a total remodel of our 20 year old Master Bath! From the very beginning, Mike, Leyda, Greg and their team were Open, Creative, innovative AND Patient with all our questions and requests ! No matter the point of the project- at the end of the day, you could eat off the floor. Their customer service is one of best we have ever experienced! Each of member of the crew put our concerns and needs at the top of their list-making sure that everything expected was in place – and more! The high quality of the products matched their customer service! The schedule was paced on our timeline and on the mark from beginning to end.

They do such amazing work! My shower head broke several months after install and they came over no problem and replaced it!

We needed our master bathroom shower remodeled to accommodate a wheelchair user. After hearing about all the problems people encountered on bad jobs we were paranoid about choosing a contractor. We decided to go with Independence because they specialized in handicapped remodeling. We met with Mike to go over our project, got a quote, and set a start date. His crew arrived on time and were courteous and efficient. When a few project hitches came up (which they almost always do) they were resolved to our complete satisfaction.

Independence charged a fair price, honored their quote, started on time, did an excellent job, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves. What more could a customer ask for? I would recommend them without hesitation.

We initially hired DRC to complete some plans for an extensive renovation to our Scottsdale home. Dale made representations about their ability to do architectural plans, engineering calculations and also complete the construction. We should have read the signs early, he was an hour late to the initial meeting and then, during the next 9 months it took to get the plans finished, there were lots of mistakes and omissions. It felt like I was marking homework from a pre-schooler. Every time the next set of plans were provided there were omissions, mistakes and forgotten items we had spoken about at previous meetings where I had kept notes.
Dale never turned up with any notes, never took any notes and rarely remembered anything we spoke about. His attention to detail is lacking and his pricing is ridiculous. He wanted $27k for a portable potty rental and $8k for a new hot water heater!
The initial budget was $650k and this was confirmed to be still on track at a meeting in May (8 months in) where we requested an update as to when the plans would be finished and when we could get a bid. We finally got a partial bid in August after putting pressure on him, the bid came back at just under $1.3M (admittedly there were some optional additions included that would have reduced the price by circa $150k if removed) however the bid was still $500k over all of his estimates. We now have a set of plans that we paid $12.5k for that are useless as most of the items we designed were based on the pricing advice of Dale coming in at circa $650k. They will have to be re-done by a real builder. DRC pretends to be a one-stop-shop with all trades on staff, however, they work out of their house and rely upon outside trades to do all the work.

It seems like DRC are a “mom and pop” outfit that are playing outside their lane. They need to keep putting up garden sheds and leave the real building to professionals. Do yourself a favour, KEEP LOOKING!
