Overpriced and under-skilled... Beware the two-man scam! I hired Response Crew to help me quickly repair a number of action items from my home inspection. I had a list of 14 basic items (from checking to see if some bulbs were burned out and cleaning sink aerators to replacing ceiling fans and putting up a tiny tile back-splash in the kitchen). Even though I have the skills and experience to do this work, I didn't have the time (with my job and all the moving, etc.). When I spoke to Jennifer at Response Crew, she looked at my item list (14 items) and said it would take them 5-6 hours to complete the work (at just under $100 per hour). I agreed to have them do the work.

I added on a tiny, 15sq ft back-splash in the kitchen and two ceiling fans... so I expected to pay more than $600. ...but the next day, Jennifer called me and told me that they had a second technician free up who could help get the work done in far less time (for $140/hr). She claimed it would save me money.

Stupidly, I agreed.

Finally, after $1400 and FOUR visits to my house (3 just to fix the same leaky hose bibb) and TONS of arguing with the owner (Adam) - who seems to think that I'm paying for his men to spend TIME in my house rather than FIX it - I am STILL fixing things from the list I sent them on Day 1 (the list they assured me THREE TIMES was complete).

I would NEVER use these folks again!

I will end off with two positive notes - 1) Jennifer is a great customer servant. I appreciate her patience and dedication to trying to make things right. Thanks to her, I have them an entire extra star in what would have otherwise been a 1-star review. 2) George did a tremendous job on my back splash. He does great tile work.

Despite those two positives, I would highly recommending calling someone else. These guys aren't as skilled as they claim and the two-man team thing is a total scam. Avoid.

The previous owners of our home remodeled a reach-in closet and turned it in to an office alcove, cementing a heavy safe to the floor (!). Years ago when we moved in we built a chest for sitting and storage over the safe because the safe was so unsightly (and permanent).
Recently we decided we wanted the closet back. George from Michele's Handyman had to deconstruct the heavy chest, jackhammer out the safe, replace travertine flooring where the safe had been, add wood molding, drywall, construct a hanging closet and shelving, and paint all when finished. He did all this is a remarkable 1.5 days of work with the jackhammering taking nearly half a day. He was extremely efficient, professional and considerate in all respects. During these days I had occasion to text and communicate with Michele, who was very quickly responsive to my inquiries or requests. This is a top-notch handyman service and you won't go wrong hiring them for your project.

I hired them to remodel my bathroom, and they did an excellent job! I am extremely pleased with the results. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

In today’s society where communication is very important I can honestly say he stayed in touch with me from the beginning of the process and well after he was finish with the work at my place. Chris has helped us with multiple projects around our house. Chris is prompt, responsible, and professional. He replaced our kitchen sink faucet and per his recommendation, we installed a touch-less kitchen faucet. You wave your hand by the faucet to turn it on and off. It's a great addition to our home. Other projects Chris has done for us include replacing our shower head from a standard shower head to a rain shower. He also replaced our garbage disposal for us. We would definitely use him again.
