My job

My roof was not leaking but it was 24 years old. The thought of someday repainting high ceilings was not appealing so I had budgeted for a replacement. I got multiple estimates and checked out all contractors with Az. ROC. The five bids I received ranged from high to temptingly low. I wanted to save money and go cheap but didn't sleep well. After thorough consideration I picked the company with the best reputation -Stapleton Roofing. The job took about a week and went very smoothly. All Stapeton employees were helpful and highly professional . They demonstrated concern for me and my home and never took short cuts. Stapleton's bid was very competitive and honest. A man came out in January and we paid over $8,000 to get a new roof (half the cost). It's now mid-February and we haven't seen or heard anything since. Not happy!

Needed our roof repaired from the hail storm several months ago and this company was the best decision we made! The guys were professional, on-time, completed the job in a timely manner and their clean up was exceptional. They discovered some rotten wood around a vent and repaired it also installed some flashing to ensure we do not have any water damage. Our new roof looks fantastic! Highly recommend this company for all your roofing needs.

Gleason Roofing’s free inspection and estimate went on time and professional. When they returned for the work they replaced broken tiles, cleaned valleys of leaves and debris, added sealant where it had begin to dry and come loose, and nailed down trim tiles that had worked loose over time. They showed me pictures of all the work done. Initially they were only here 45 min. and about to leave when I reminded them about the nails and caulk. After consulting with their boss they went back up and finished. It is a flat tile roof on a 23 year old home. Total work done in about 1:15 minutes and charged $600.00 + -. A Fair price, I think, if the caulk used was the right kind, which I’m not sure of. I am fairly confident they did a good job, considering I know nothing about roofing.

Alan and his crew performed minor roof repair to our home quickly, and was extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. We organized the day before to come out for a free estimate and he ended up performing the work on the same day. They even took photos of the work, which is fantastic as the roof is not an easy place to navigate. Alan is on speed dial for our roofing needs, highly recommended.

Not only did they give me the best estimate out of the four companies I had out but they took the time to explain how my roof ended up this way and what kind of action I could take right now. The even offer financing too. When Pat, the owner, was explaining how my roof had gotten in such bad shape never once did I feel like I was being lied to or over pitched. The service I received from Express Roofing through the entire project should be a model for all others.
From the beginning, they were quick to respond to my Yelp request for an appointment, when other companies never even returned my follow-up call. Some companies came out but never followed up with a bid. Some gave me a bid on the spot without even going up on the roof! Rene came out (at the appointment time which was important to me since I work from home) and explained the process, the company set-up, the timeline and what to expect – up to and including what would I do with my dog while the roofing was happening, not just because the gate would be open, but some dogs (and people) do not like the noise. He was also careful to explain that they would be covering my pool and some dogs may try to walk on the plastic and could drown.
I needed a huge number of tiles replaced and my tile is no longer being made and instead of sending me 50 miles away to where tile is made to select another color and style, Rene brought the tile to me. He brought models of how joints and connections and drains are made and installed, and showed a piece of the underlayment so I could see what was going to be installed on my roof. Everything he said was followed up in writing. I received a copy of the warranty form along with their bid. His bid was “all in” when other companies had pages of contingencies and possible related and unforeseen charges. Express Roofing was not the lowest bid on paper but I felt confident that the bid would be what I paid – and in the end it was.
It is quite interesting and noteworthy at how well the crew worked together to accomplish so much in just one day. As noisy as this project is, other than the sound of real work being done, the crew was quiet as mice - and as much work that happened on top and around my home I was amazed everyday that not one nail or spec of trash could be found when the crew departed for the day! The materials that remained behind for the next day were neatly and safely stacked and placed discreetly so that I would not receive a complaint from the HOA and they would not be in my way. The professionalism astounded me, especially in this day and age where it seems most companies just don't care about customer service!
Jeff in the Express Roofing office was proactive and either called or emailed me on a regular basis to keep me updated on the tile order and delivery, the crew arrival time, reminder about the pool being covered while the messiest work was being performed, etc. I did not have to chase them down to find out what the heck was going on as I have had to with other major projects I am doing such as glass beading my pool or installing a gas line for my barbeque.
Every day that work was done Rene drove all the way out here and flew a drone to show me the progress on the roof. He sent me a video with a voice over explaining what was happening. On the video, he pointed out a couple of upgrades the crew was doing so my roof would be back in code, leak-proof longer, and more aesthetically pleasing. Not one of the other companies that came out and gave me a bid even mentioned them.
Rene said the roof would be done by the weekend – and it was actually done before noon on Friday. They were very comprehensive and meticulous on stucco patching and matched the house paint perfectly.
This is one time when I wrote what I consider to be a big check – and was completely and totally happy and satisfied to do it. I feel that I have the best looking roof in the entire area, not just in my neighborhood. I would recommend Express Roofing to anyone needing a roof repair, a replacement, or like me, a new roof.

I called about a vacant lot they own. After telling Lisa the address, she said no and just hung up the phone. I called back to tell the operator, she said keep in mind some people work from home. What does that even mean? Not the way to talk to people.

Steve and Laura were absolutely wonderful to deal with. They gave me the best pricing on my replacement, compared to 4 other estimates, and completed the work in the timeframe they told me. The crew cleaned up everyday and Steve made sure all the roof openings were covered to preventive birds and anything else from getting in. Laura is very nice to deal with and always responds quickly. We called to have our roof repaired after we discovered a leak. We were initially told someone would come out Friday. Then Friday turned into Sunday and from there we have not heard anything. Even after attempting to reach out to them for a third time we haven't heard back. Very unprofessional
