Our Arcadia home was in dire need of extensive roof repair. Lots of wood replacement and 3 layer tear-off. KY-KO promise that the work would be done with the utmost care of garden and landscaping that is all around the perimeter of roof. They tarped off everything and cleaned up daily, the carpentry was done with precision. And over all a great experience. After we made the painful decision to replace our existing metal roof, my husband an I wanted to hire a roofing company that only constructed metal roofs—experts in the field. We are pleased with our decision to have Vertex Metal Roofing do the job for us.

The company’s professionalism was first evident in the analysis by Korbyn Brock of our previous roof’s problems. Then his subsequent presentation of Vertex standing seam products and installation methods helped convince us that those problems would not occur in the future. No question went unanswered.

The cost of the job was expensive and took 5 weeks to complete. Not a criticism…just a fact. We have a hip roof with nearly 7000 square feet of metal between the roof and soffit panels. That’s why choosing the right company is so important. Metal will last a lifetime. But the roof can fail if not designed and installed properly. Accessibility and communication are also key. After the job started Korbyn stayed in touch as did the head foreman, Jim Conway. But the main communication was taken over by Marco Cobos, the site foreman. I can’t praise him highly enough. He calmly and consistently responded to any questions or concerns during the job. If we didn’t like something, then he fixed it or did it over until we were satisfied. He worked hands on with his great crew.

Then, the week after the job was completed we were blessed with a light rain that revealed seams on two gutters that were dripping and holding water. Upon communicating this to the head foreman, Jim(who responded within minutes), we were assured the problem would be resolved. Jim came out personally to assess the situation and the following week Marco came out personally to redo the seams on those gutters. He also checked every seam on EVERY gutter around the house. To me, that’s a sign of a truly reputable company—one that doesn’t make excuses for a problem but apologizes, takes responsibility and then makes it right.

Needless to say we would recommend Vertex to anyone interested in purchasing a metal roof. Their performance has made us confident that this will be the last roof we’ll ever need.

With a small job, often it can be difficult to find a contractor who will follow through! I contacted Tacheny through Yelp because I wanted the roof inspected on my three year old home. After visits and bids from three firms, we decided to choose Tacheny. Jim, the salesperson who came out and took pictures, provided a competitive bid for a few broken tiles and flashing that needed to be reattached.
Jim was actually the same person who returned later after securing matching tiles and, in the sweltering AZ heat, replaced the broken tiles and made sure the flashing was put back in place. I have already recommended them for an inspection to neighbors and I'm glad to have done business with them!

I had a little storm damage from the east valley storms in early August, my insurance adjuster said not to bother with a claim because it wouldn't cost enough. I got 4 quotes from folks in the valley, Dunne came in about $800 under the other rip-offs in the valley. Mark was wicked easy to work with, worked with me on scheduling, and did great quality work. I wish more of the Arizona service industry was more like these guys.

The Roof Medics, and their owner Daryl, provided great service at a reasonable price with a solid warranty. They were timely and professional, taking great care in completing our project. They worked around solar panels and the quirks of a historic home, and even covered our fish pond so no debris would get in. They were responsive, quick to come evaluate the property, and made it easy to schedule at a convenient time. We'll definitely be using them for all our roof needs in the future.

The combination of ALLROOFS and GAF can't be beat. We called to have our roof repaired after we discovered a leak. We were initially told someone would come out Friday. Then Friday turned into Sunday and from there we have not heard anything. Even after attempting to reach out to them for a third time we haven't heard back. Very unprofessional
