Recommended by a friend, I called Chapin Elec on a Friday afternoon and Obdulio arrived promptly the next morning. As nice as could be, he listened to what I wanted done, and how best to achieve those goals, and how to do so with regard to not only functionality and safety, but also aesthetics.He also went above and beyond my request to remove one of two shoddily-installed (by prior owner) exterior boxes by cleaning up and properly re-installing the original box (again with a more aesthetic result). He tested all connections I front of me and showed me how to safely use exterior boxes in light of wet weather.I highly recommend Obdulio/Chaplin Elec for friendly, informative, and prompt service. I will add that he spent some extra time with me afterward to answer my new-homeowner questions about generators, connectivity, and so on. Greatly appreciated.

The Residential Electric team here in Dallas were all great! We needed to replace all of our recessed lights on 2 floors. We also added a few new ones along with dimmers and switch plates. The technicians provided great input about our options before they did the job and gave us a detailed quote which was very reasonable. They even dismissed more expensive options to save us money over all. These guys were on time and got the job done without making a mess all in one day. I was nervous about hiring a company to handle this job, but I'm very satisfied and would hire them again.

This company has issues with completing the job. Not finishing the work that was paid for. Make sure you know a good lawyer if you use him.

None of the electrical connections of our house was working after the heavy hailstorm of the previous night. I couldn’t even charge my phone, couldn’t even use the microwave, couldn’t even use the internet. It was very urgent to have the issue fixed. But because of the weather condition, no electricians were willing to help us. Then we contacted this company as our last resort and they sent us our lifesaver, the electrician, Nick! He fixed everything wrong within an hour and saved all our lives that day. He was very quick to diagnose the problem and very professional. Thanks to this company for helping us with our emergency and top-notch service!

Be wary of this company or any company that won't sign a contract for a job. Todd (VP) sent me a 1-page proposal and when we sent him a boiler plate contract, he backed out when he saw that his company would be held accountable for performing the work we agreed upon. This is after accommodating to his no retainage request... again another red flag.Shifty practices as usual for the non-professional types. You can't call yourself a Vice President of anything if you're afraid of a standard construction agreement... Read it, understand the terms and if they're acceptable sign it or adjust the language until it is then initial. Maybe Linard needs to promote Miley to Director of Finance or something.

After reading many wonderful reviews for Great Brother Electrical Services, I called to get a quote on replacing smoke detectors and repairing a pendant light that was sagging from the ceiling. Jose arrived as scheduled. He did the work that was quoted. While he was here, I asked him to install an outlet in my bedroom, which he did. We then discussed replacing the can lights with new LED lights. The next day, Jose and his crew replaced 40 can lights! We then discussed replacing florescent lights in the house. He came out a couple of days later replaced four more can lights, installed an outlet in the laundry room, hung my Dyson stick vacuum, and replaced a florescent light in a closet. Jose is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He and his crew cleaned up their messes, and are very reasonably priced. He let us know different options for the projects we were thinking of. After using many different electricians over the years, I feel like I finally found someone who is reliable, available, and affordable. Jose and I have already discussed future projects. I am making a list, and will gladly call Great Brother Electrical Services soon. I highly recommend them. All of the reviews that I read were very spot on.
