The team installed new LED recessed lighting in my kitchen. The provide great service by being on time, on budget, and choices and advice. I've used them several times over the last 6+ years with good results on all projects.

Electrician on Call has done many electrical repairs and modifications for us in recent years. This review is for our most recent service call (but they are all 5-stars). A design-and-build firm remodeled our primary residence but left several finishing touches undone… So, we called Dave to finish the job and gave him a long list of things that we wanted changed (sockets moved to accessible locations, dimmers, more outdoor outlets, remote controls for lamps, etc). He worked with us to find the most cost-efficient ways to make the changes and in the end charged us about 1/3 less than his original estimate.

I’ve been working with Electrician on Call for about 5 years now. They do high quality work and are always quick to respond. Twice I had AC or furnace issues and they went above and beyond to come the same day to fix the issues. Our HVAC technician Dave is awesome to work with and very knowledgeable.Don’t hesitate to give them a call. You won’t be disappointed.

We hired Electrician On Call to replace a builder grade light fixture with a chandelier. Appointment scheduling was super easy. They sent a text when they were on their way to our home. On time, reliable, pricing was very fair and they cleaned up including vacuuming when finished. Would highly recommend as they did an outstanding job!

Dave absolutely rock solid, arrived early, professional and courteous, quickly looked at the outside a/c equipment, offered 2 different solutions and their consequences, in simple clear language, and we went forward with the best fitting option. I called Electrician On Call this morning. Dave provided excellent service with fast response and friendly attitude. After I described what happened to my room, he directly pointed out the culprit mostly is the main breaker under the power meter, and that's it! Since the main breaker (including the box) is very old and dis-manufactured, I preferred to replace the whole box. Dave finished this work quickly and charged me for a reasonable price. He worked on Saturday! And waived me more than HUNDRED Dollars! Thanks, David!

David and his crew were awesome! This is the second time I’ve used them to do some electrical work I leave to the pros, and he’s come through every time.

We've used Electrician on Call several times, and each time has been great. On Dave's first visit for a minor electrical issue, we asked him about our reassessed lighting, which constantly had burnt-out bulbs. A previous electrician had quoted over 2 thousand dollars to switch them out to LEDs, but Dave showed us how we could easily do it ourselves. We did, and haven't had to change a bulb since. How many electricians try to save you money?I only wish I had known earlier that Dave also did HVAC. He fixed our mini-split in the garage (both the power and the refrigerant level), and last week when our main indoor unit went out (and our house was at 90+ degrees), he interrupted his big job in Fort Worth and drove all the way to Dallas to help us out and get it running again.We are so grateful to Dave and his team. Also a special thanks to Ally who does the scheduling. I can tell she is always super busy but she is consistently very professional and helpful.

Dave is an awesome electrician! He has added several electrical circuits at our house including a transfer switch for the generator. He has done a lot of electrical work for our real estate clients also. We recently had a patio cover built and I wasn't excited about the work that the contractors electrician did. I had Dave come out and finish the electrical work and was really excited about how it came out. I won't let anyone else near the breaker box at my house... Dave with Electrician On Call is the only electrician working on my home!

I had a generator transfer switch and water proof outlet installed on my home so I could connect my generator directly to my home to power it safely during power outages. All personnel who contacted me and did the repair were professional and knowledgeable. Overall I feel they did a great job addressing my needs for a fair price. In the future if I need an electrician they will definitely be the first company I contact. I am 100% satisfied with the work they did.

Very professional and courteous! Dave and Tony were able to quickly resolve our electrical issues. We were previously told one of the issues would require opening up a wall but the electricians were able to resolve the issue without tearing up our recently renovated home. Would highly recommend!

Quick response to quote request. Easy to schedule an appointment. The owner Dave was informative and fair. He could have easily done additional breaker exchanges/installation based on my initial request, but he told me how to address it without needing to add more expense. He discussed what to look out for in the future and how to troubleshoot problems. Ethical, quick, and customer focused service. I've worked with this company twice now, and they have amazed me both times. When I faced an electrical issue that was going to be expensive to repair, they came up with a creative (but safe!) alternative solution that cost less than half the price. Outstanding experience with Dave and his team! I had them over to inspect/service our HVAC and put up a ceiling fan on a 20 foot tall ceiling.Dave did a great job going over all my HVAC equipment. The previous company of jokers just came by, took a look without opening anything up or taking any temperature measurements and just said mm hmm youre good bro, now let's look at these financing plans to get you into a new AC even though yours work fine.Dave doesn't play that game, he took actual measurements and popped the units open, did function testing, and showed me the metrics he was working with. I'm very pleased with him not only doing honest detailed work, but also educating the end user and quantifying the actual performance of my units. A++His team doing the install on my fan were great too. Normally I do all own work of that type, but the ceiling is real high and I don't own a ladder that tall. I had a large to do list for Carlos and his partner. They were courteous, professional and timely. I needed them to replace my smoke alarms and they noticed my dogs were nervous when they tested the alarms. They waited for me to walk my dogs so they could test all of the alarms without upsetting them - great customer service. Would definitely recommend!

I can't say enough great things about Electrician on Call. First, my appt was scheduled between 1-3. They contacted me at 10:40 and said they had finished the job before mine early and they could arrive earlier if I was available. They arrived at 11:15, on arrival they were wearing masks and foot covers. Second, they are veteran owned and operated. Thirdly, David was very professional, personable and courteous. Our air conditioner had been giving us a lot of trouble. We called our home protection company and they sent out 3 different providers who could not find the fault. Then we turned to Electrician on Call. Dave spent hours (which he did not charge us for) diagnosing the problem. Eventually a bad leak was found. Since the unit was 14 years old we replaced it with a new unit. Dave's guys came right on time on a Sunday and worked solidly for about 6 hours. They were very professional, placing protective sheets all the way down the stairs. Our new unit works very well and we w so enjoyed the cool air! We would highly recommend Electrician on Call for all your A/C and electric needs.

We used Electrician on Call to help us with an electrical mystery that popped up after the 2021 snowpocalypse.We had mysteriously lost power to a few spots and the obvious things did not fix it.Dave came out and tracked it down to a hidden subpanel on the other side of the house!When all was said and done, we only needed to throw a breaker in the subpanel (that we didn't know existed) and we were back up and running.This is exactly the kind of job where a master electrician shines and Dave did just that.Dave also helped us with installation of some Nest gear, a surge protector, and HVAC tune-ups.Very happy with the service and will definitely call them for our future electrical needs.

I am an out of state home seller who had an electrical issue arise 4 days before closing on our home. Not only did David solve the problem effectively and quickly, they even came in under the quote price range. Great job and I would recommend them highly.

Dave was very thorough on the details of the install so I would know what to expect. I had specific requests on the install and he was very accommodating. His installers were professional and respected my home and did all necessary processes to protect the areas in my house in which that had to access in order to complete the install.

We had them replace all the old canned lighting in the kitchen and living room with new LEDs and installed a new wire from the ceiling fan to the switch box so we could have a switch for the light and a slider for the fan speed last year. They were so friendly, professional and did a great job. So we called them back today to hang two chandlers. One in the dining, bathroom and upgraded the switches with dimmers and fan speeds for another bedroom. Overall great experience!

I needed a new dedicated outlet in my garage so I posted through Home Advisor on Monday. Electrician on call emailed me that afternoon, we set up an appointment for the next day (Tuesday), they came this morning and did the work in 45 minutes or less (I added a second outlet). The price seemed reasonable (about $250), but I haven't compared.

I highly recommend Dave, he is extremely knowledgable and honest. He cares to do a good job and has compassion (does not overcharge). I have used him for any of my electrical needs for many years and have never been disappointed. I have given his name to any of friends and coworkers that needed a referral. I usually don't do that but I believe he is good for it!

We called them on New Years Eve and they were able to service us very quickly same day, we actually ended up meeting the owner and he was incredibly nice and informative. Our issue ended up being the plug frame being cracked making it unable to handle the load. He gave us some great advice on how to detect it in the future. We will definitely use them again.

Electrician on Call DBA replaced my electrical panel and got to the bottom of a number of smaller electrical problems we had, and their price was very fair. I’m looking forward to doing business with them again in the future and give them my highest recommendation!

This company was a pleasure to work with. They replaced two air-conditioners for us at a great price, within 48 hours of giving us a quote (in the middle of June!). They were easy to communicate with. We will continue to use them for ongoing service. Highly recommend!

We had Electrician On Call come for a full day of installations and repairs in our new home before we moved the furniture into our home. It included all of the above mentioned installations and repairs plus mounting a TV over the fireplace, adding a plug and HDMI cable to the space and running a CAT6 line from the upstairs room to the downstairs living room. Carlos and Tony arrived before 9 am and didn't leave until about 7:30pm making sure to complete everything on our list. They were communicative, thoughtful and cleaned up after themselves. All around professionals from scheduling the estimate, to communicating the date of the job, the electricians and the dispatch personnel definitely know what they are doing. I would recommend this company to anyone who asks and they will definitely be our go to electricians for any further work that we need to have completed at our home.

Electricians on Call is a great company. I have used them for years. They send the same guy every time (actually I request him now) He knows my house and does an excellent job. They come quickly, work fast and do a good job. Couldn't be more pleased.

The electricians were very professional and knowledgeable—no complaints at all about them. But the company’s prices are outrageous. They charged $95 to disconnect a wire in the attic which took them about 5 minutes to do. I think they should look at a job first before quoting prices. For a replacement ceiling fan installation and disconnecting a wire was over $300 and they were at my house less than 45 minutes. That’s about $400 an hour for labor charges!!!!

Carlos and Braxton clearly explained the process of adding three GFCI outlets and installed them with the existing wiring. Carlos also saved me $100 by converting a light switch in the garage to an outlet for the sprinkler system instead of adding a new outlet. Knowledgeable, polite, efficient, and reasonably priced. My family, especially my father, has been working with Electrician On Call for the past several years. Each time we need help, the service is prompt, first-class, and complete. Dave and his team go to great lengths to ensure customer satisfaction. For example, they recently installed Ring front door and flood light cameras such that all electrical wiring and WiFi services were properly connected. At the same time, the guys checked out a difficult breaker and made sure the the family home was safe from an electrical standpoint. We can't recommend this group more highly -- they will keep your family just as safe as they've kept mine.

I've used the Electrician On Call for several years. I always see the same technician. He is really good. The works he had done perfectly. This time, he replaced my ceiling fan. My ceiling is 22 feet tall with a 6 feet down rod. He climbed all the way up to the ceiling to remove the whole unit with the rod. Lower all down with help from his partner. They installed the new fan when everything was on the ground ( I think it's very efficient). Then, they raised the whole unit up, tied the screws. It took them less than an hour. Everything looked very professional and very clean.My new fan is 72 inch (quite large). I think it was a difficult task, but he made everything looked so easy.Highly recommended.

They were the most curtious, knowledgable, detailed and reasonable electricians I have ever used. Their attention to detail even with my garage drywall was impeccable. I will never use anyone else!!!

I'm renovating my entire home and wanted updated lighting. Dave came over and helped me design the layout of recessed lights and pendant lights in my kitchen. The result is beautiful. Throughout the entire house, EOC installed 11 recessed lights, 3 pendants, two chandeliers, one flush mount, 3 vanity lights, a fan light and 6 dimmer switches. Wow, what a difference great lighting makes! Dave also fixed my exterior plugs that haven't worked in 18 years. I have only high praise for Dave and his team. He had 4 people working in my house at the same time and got all the work done in one day. Each person on his team was pleasant, professional, quick and efficient. It was a great experience for me.

A construction project had somehow disrupted electrical service in a bedroom. I needed someone who could locate the broken line and repair it. Several power outlets and light fixtures were affected.The electrician came with the right tool for the job: A signal generator and tone detector, and the know-how to use them to sense where the broken wire is in the wall. After investigating, the broken wire was located, but due to its placement in the wall, it would be very difficult to reach it and repair or replace it.Fortunately this electrician is both experienced and creative. He noticed that part of the broken circuit passes right by an appliance circuit in my kitchen, used for the garbage disposal. By disconnecting the broken wire and just leaving it dead in the wall, he was able to resplice the unpowered segment onto the kitchen circuit instead.Now the outlets and lights are on a different circuit breaker, but the circuit is rated fine for the purpose, and it shouldn't cause me any future problems. Plus, he was able to perform the splice without even needing to break into any walls, saving me the cost of repairing them.All in all, I'm very impressed!

Electrician on Call did a great job re-wiring my entire house. They worked hard, were very professional, and finished quickly. Dave, the owner, came out and checked out the job in person before we started which was nice because it was a big expense for me. They arrived a little early,,and gave me notice if I were going to be coming to meet them. I was working from home, so no problem there. They put on shoe covers to protect my oak floors, and were careful carrying their ladder, tools and my new light fixture up to the second floor. They replaced the fixture and cleaned up after themselves. They left no evidence they had been here other than the new working light fixture in my master closet.I will use them again for my next electrical problem.

We used Electricians On Call to inspect the Electrical and HVAC on our new home construction in addition to the general inspection. David came out and did a thorough inspection of both systems. My husband, a master plumber and contractor himself, was very impressed with the level of care and knowledge that David provided. He was polite, on time, and most of all very knowledgable. You can tell he takes great pride in his craft and we could not have been more pleased with our experience. They will be our 1 go to for all things Electrical and HVAC from this point on and the first we refer to all our friends and family.

The owner seems to perform a lot of the jobs himself, which appealed to me since you know you will be getting their best effort in performing quality work. However, I never got to experience the quality of their work as they never sent me an estimate despite numerous requests. Perhaps they are overbooked with jobs and can pick and choose the jobs that are most beneficial to them financially but it would be appreciated if you could have notified me that you werent interested in taking my job so I could have contacted a different company.

We've had Electricians on Call out to the house several times since we bought the house in 2016. They have always treated us right and done very good work. We had them add new dedicated outlets in several places in the house because we created a home office, updated our master bathroom and added a freezer and a second refrigerator. They added a whole house surge protection. And we just had them come out and fix some old outlets and switches and remove a light fixture where I want to put in cabinets. The house is 40 years old and they have helped us update the electrical system to meet today's needs.

Took care of the work we needed done and even tried to help when I had issues setting up our security devices. They worked with me on scheduling and gave me the best price quote in the area. Will definitely use them in the future!

I've had work done in my house before, and always same thing, you need something extra meaning more money. This company was honest and upfront about installation. The staff was friendly and helpful. I've used EoC on two homes and they're excellent. Their quotes are incredibly well written, clearly detailed, and there are no surprises. Technicians are well trained, willing to discuss what they're doing, and professional.

I had some minor smoke detector problems, from a previous electrician who installed and wired the smoke detectors incorrectly. Dave, the owner from Electricians on Call, did a quick rewire of two smoke detectors, as well as install a new one also.. It took him 10 minutes, where as the previous electrician took two hours to do the same work incorrectly.No more beeping alarms!!! I recently contacted Electrician On Call to install a couple can lights, new outlet, and drop a power line for a light fixture. The technician, Altuvio(I believe?), showed up on time and worked very quickly. He completed all of the work in just a couple hours, which blew my mind. The previous electrician who worked on our house took hours just to complete one of those tasks. All of the work done by EOC worked great and the price was reasonable. I will use them again.

Had 8 ceiling fans and 6 light fixtures replaced in a new home. It was a big job that spanned 2 days. They did a great job and the fixtures look great.

We are very pleased with the work performed by Electrician On Call. Master Electrician Dave, the business owner with over 20 years of experience, arrived at our home on time and got to work right away to replace an outside GFCI outlet that had become nonfunctional after 30+ years. He quickly diagnosed the problem and concluded that some additional material was needed that we had not provided. A quick trip to the home improvement store and he was done within 1.5 hours and had me confirm that the outlet was working as intended. Although we did not ask for it, Dave gave us a discount on an already good labor and material rate. Dave was very personable and I enjoyed our conversation. Perhaps after my reviews they realized that this wasn't the best way to do customer service. As a result, i am recognizing their renewed efforts to make amends and updating my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I called the company the early part of last week for an estimate to install a chandelier. They indicated that they would get back to me n 24 hours with the cost. 2 days later I called them and they told me that they were still working on it would be tomorrow. I called back the next day and they said they were still working on it and it would be tomorrow. On Thursday I called twice and they stopped picking up my phone calls (perhaps the person answering the phone was inundated with calls, who knows). I left a voicemail.Thursday afternoon I was told the estimate would be ready by the end of the day. Friday came and went with no call and no estimate. Finally on Monday morning I called and politely asked for the estimate and was told they it was not ready and they would get to it as soon as an electrician was available.I guess business is good with all of these good reviews and so they no longer need to provide their customers with timely (less than 7 days) estimates much less decent customer service. The person answering the phone and scheduling electricians could also do a better job with her customer service skills.In my opinion this company used to be great with a lot of great reviews but now it may be getting out of hand to handle customers properly that they are growing and getting bigger. That is just my guess based on not getting any proper responses or a quote for chandelier install.

Carlos was my electrician for this job. He was very professional and courteous. He completed the job along with a couple more items to my satisfaction. I would definitely use EOC again and I will recommend them to my friends or family that need their services.

AC decided to quit yesterday afternoon . Because it briefly blew hot air last Saturday, I reached out to David Jones on Monday and we had been finalizing details during the week. So grateful that Electrician On Call was able to put my home on today's schedule! David arrived, masked, with crew and ensured that everything was correct for installation; the guys were pleasant, professional, and kept distance; David called after completion and will be here Monday to inspect. Company has done several jobs for me, including replacement of Federated breaker panel that could have been a fire hazard.Honest, knowledgeable, no hard sell/upsell ... again, I HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the DFW Metroplex.

On this project, electrical wiring for an entire house was required. Dave was able to quickly fix issues caused by another electrician, took over the electrical installation, and personally worked with the City of Dallas to get us the required green tags. She was able to schedule thet repair that day but I wasnt available so they came the next day. Ally called to let me know David was on his way. Initially an electrician had came out and advised me of the problem and told me that I would need to get someone else to get the problem solved. The second gentleman came and stated what was needed to rectify the problem. He never returned nor did I hear back from him or the company. I finally got in touch with Electrician On Call that set up an appointment for a tech to come out. Dave came and took care of the problem within less than 30 minutes. He was very professional and detail oriented. I would advise (everyone) to use his services.

They did everything just as they said they would. They did it better than I thought possible. They stuck to their quote. They spent time before and after to walk through and get very clear on expectations and met them 110%. They worked late to finish on time. I will call them back again which for me is high praise.

David is a master electrician and all his men are journeymen. Obdulio, who did our particular work, has been with the company for many years. I have a 1950's home which can be tricky if you don't know what you're doing. Having the peace of mind that the job was done correctly puts me at ease.

I have used Electrician On Call several times to hang ceiling fans, install recessed lighting, wiring for new patio, and other. They've always done a great job and are reasonably priced. I will use them again.

EOC added CAT6 drops in 4 rooms, 3 wired security cameras and a network panel to house all internet/networking equipment. They were fast AND the work was of the highest quality. Will definitely use again.

I am very happy that I chose the right electrician to help me out. There are so many listed on the internet. I just couldn't not call based on all of the positive reviews I read. I had just days ago purchased my 2nd home . My dryer wasn't working after I washed a load of clothes. I called on a Sunday hoping to get help. Dave returned my call and advised that if I could wait till Monday he would come out, no problem it wasn't a true emergency and waiting would save me from an emergency charge. I advised Dave the mover hooked up my dryer . When I detailed that the dryer did come on but a spark was seen. He asked me the year of my home and felt that it may not have been hooked up correctly and gave me an estimate. When he arrived within the time frame we discussed the day before he was wearing shoe covers which I liked. He found that his guess was accurate and I paid the estimated price given. If in the future I need any other help from an electrican I will not hesitate to call electrician on call. Superb customer service from a fellow Navy veteran.

I was sooo thankful that Dave answered my call at 9pm on a Wednesday night. He was able to grab the part I needed from a photo I texted him of my breaker that needed replaced and was out to change it and get my power back on all within 1.5 hrs of getting my call, and at a very reasonable price. Dave is a great HVAC technician. He is down to earth, explained everything I needed to know about AC. He taught me how to maintain an AC . He is honest and never try to make money on the unnecessary. I learned he also does household electrical, I will use his services without a doubt.

He is an extremely negative person and lacks personality and professionalism to be a representative of any in home service.

My only problem was that it took trying 3 ballasts before it was completed. The one purchased at Lowes and first one from your truck were both not working properly. So the job took quite a bit longer than first anticipated with 2 employees. This, of course, could not be blamed on your employees.

Needed a switch replaced for a bedroom closet. Job was done quickly, accurately and easily. My only beef is the cost. The quote was between $75 and $125, which even then I thought was a bit steep. Had the exact same thing done by a handy man for $50 (he wasn't available for this task). Bill came to $156, which is absurd. On the bright side I didn't electrocute myself! Will only use EOC again if their prices are much lower.

The work seems fine, if a bit pricey for a wall switch replacement, but the employees left both the door and garage door wide open while working in another area of the house and not only was it very cold outside at the time, my very shy pet cats got out and are now lost.
