Some reasons why I chose Merv over other electricians:
- when I called an electrician picked up and scheduled an estimate with me right away instead of having to speak to a scheduler like other big companies
- they arrived promptly and didn't try to up sell me.

- the electrician worked with me to figure out an innovative solution to my issue when other places recommended I more expensive solution
- the electrician talked me through the process and educated me as he worked

I had Tyler from Economy Wiring install a fireplace, outlet, and a bathroom exhaust fan. He's been excellent - always on time, great communication, and as a person is very courteous, friendly, and professional. The price seemed very reasonable, he broke down the quote pricing by item (fireplace), and worked with our other contractor (fireplace surround) and coordinated with him to make sure our fireplace was installed and set up perfectly. Tyler was honestly great and I will definitely go back with him again the next time I need any electrical work done!

Just had my Heat Pump fixed by Energy Technologies after being turned away from 8 other companies. The technician came out within 2 days, quickly diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and then went out of his way to check my furnace and tankless hot water heater. Then on top of that I mentioned a sound that kept coming from the return air duct for the furnace that 2 other companies couldn't figure out. He listened for a minute, smiled at me and then pulled off the grill from the air return and the sound went away! He recommended getting a grill that won't cause the airflow to make the sound. Bonus round score! The technician was very knowledgeable, shared his thoughts, and went out of his way to make sure all my systems were in shape. Rock star!

When it comes to electrical problems I don't even want to think about what to or what the problem is so I call Mister Sparky every time I have an electrical issue and they always show up when they say they will, none of that between 9 and 3 bologna. I always know I can relax when I call Mister Sparky.

I setup an initial consultation/quotation visit with these guys as I needed to get power outside our house to install a security camera. Dave arrived on time to discuss my project and was extremely professional and friendly. We identified three options, including drilling into the house from the outside and junctioning into the existing electrical network, installing a new external outlet, or wiring the camera into our garage where we have existing outlets. He walked me through the pros and cons of each option and was very candid in his assessment. He then suggested the third option as being the easiest and least intrusive/expensive. Even though the appointment was just an initial visit and not actually when the work was to be performed, he ended up helping me out and finishing the installation free of charge as a neighborly gesture. I was very impressed and would highly recommend anyone to consult with them for electrical needs. I'll certainly call them again if I need something in the future!

Added wiring for two sump pumps. Electrician did a great job (attic and crawlspace work), their office coordinated inspection with L&I, everything went well!

The call center person was calm and apologetic after one hiccup in their service. If it wasn't for the person who completed the job, my rating would be lower. All and all I would have them do another small electrical job. I know they appreciate return customers.

We've been fortunate to be a customer of West Seattle Electric and Solar for several years, and have always been highly satisfied with their work and performance. Our most recent experience was fantastic, Mark came out to assess our issue with a non-working photocell, and he was able to solve it quickly and expertly. So in spite of the fact that OHM electric overcharged for invoices the last time we hired them and we finally had to call to get them to straightened out the matter before paying, against my better judgement I hired Ohm again. I will say Alfred is a fairly competent electrician but Ian the guy who books the appointments and does the billing proved to be an absolutely nightmare, who can not be trusted with the truth. Please note that fact in that any response to this review by Ian will certainly be a misrepresentation .

So I scheduled the service at my address on line through their web site and then by calling. Both times I gave him my address and confirmed it. Then the night before they were suppose to come, all of a sudden he sends a text to my son, cancelling the appointment, because he alleges that we did not confirm the address for yet again, a third time,!

Apparently Ian sent an email which I did not notice wanting a third confirmation He triumphantly cancelled the appointment, even though he could have just taken the time to text or call to confirm the address if he still had doubts. Well we took off that morning to await them at the project and suddenly we got noticed that they was not going to show up. I feel like charging him for my time,

When I complained about his sudden cancellation, he told me I was unprofessional! Now that is an oxymoron if anything not only because all the unprofessional behavior was on the part of Ian whose tone was increasingly arrogant but the fact that he was the professional doing the business, and I was simply a customer who had given him all the contact info he needed if he had any questions,

So after unprofessionally cancelling the service on a whim, I decided never ever to use this company again, a fact I conveyed to them in no uncertain terms. There are in fact lots of other professional electricians that show up on time and don't try to shift the blame on to the customer after mistakes of their own making!

I had the pleasure to have Junior and his crew relamp the stockroom of the retail building I worked at. Junior was very friendly, fast and efficient. He went out of his way to make sure the project was completed properly and on time! It was a fantastic working with him!

Hands down the best service! Scheduling was fast and efficient. Chad went above and beyond the call of duty to provide quality service. He even worked after hours to ensure the repairs were completed so we could meet the closing deadline of the home. I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with this company. This is who I will refer everyone to and will use if I ever need electrical work done again.
