George came over to our house within a day to fix our broken light fixture that was hanging from the ceiling. He was a very professional and knowledgeable electrician!

We have had Jesus (JC Energy) come to our residence and provide services several times. Most recently was the rewiring of a couple of switches. He is friendly, professional, personable and has reasonable fees.

Don’t waste your time. They scheduled an appointment for estimate to change out an outlet for range conversion, technician no-showed 1st appointment. When I called the office Kayla informed me Shane had called out sick and she failed to call me to cancel. I gave them another chance, waited 2 weeks for an afternoon appointment and Kayla called me today to reschedule again. I currently have 2 weeks till my appliance delivery and Lander can’t work me in to their schedule leaving me to find another electrician on short notice. Utter waste of time dealing with this firm.

Very professional, friendly and definitely above and beyond getting the job done. They were on time to finish the job, inspection was done very quickly. Happy with their work. I Highly recommend them.

I called Mirsky in to install some smart switches and diagnose/fix a wiring issue with my garage lights. Nate was extremely competent, professional, and friendly. The appointment took considerably less time than I expected, saving me money. I'm already scheduling an appointment for some more work.

They installed a Generac generator at my mothers home in Sammamish which was a very difficult place to do so. They were very patient with us as we tried to find a location around the house that would meet sammamish codes and still not be a sour thum. It took several months to come up with the right spot, but eventually we got it done just before 3 winter storms took out power at my moms home three times in a row. My mom’s neighbors had to wait for up to 3 days to get power back but my mother never lost power with her natural gas Generator.
And then smart electric gave both my mother and I wonderful Christmas gifts .
By the way, Joe, the owner and the electrician, at Smart electric showed extreme integrity. He would only do things the right way, no cutting corners.
Joe also always returned our calls in a timely manner, even when he was on vacation.

By the way I have 5 years experience as a maintenance manager at a 40,000 sqr foot manufacturing plant, with an electrical engineering degree and 13 years experience as a general contractor. I don’t give high marks to just anybody. I’m very picky.

Had several items to take care of: added outlet under sink for plug in garbage disposal, replaced bathroom fans and changed a few light switches. Professional workmanship including cleanup!

Just FYI before you call: They won't come to Belltown due to parking- even if you offer them parking.

Talked to someone very nice on the phone who agreed to come out in a couple days. Never showed up and never responded again after multiple other contact attempts.

I had a great experience working with Derek from Green Concepts, and would highly recommend him to others looking for a kind, honest, timely, and extremely capable electrician.

TL;DR:
Derek showed up on time and communicated well. He was a great partner in that he helped advise us on the options that were the best fit for us, without trying to oversell us, and without using complicated language to confuse us (which unfortunately many contractors do). He really understood our needs and delivered exactly what we were looking for in a quick, concise, and clean way. We will definitely hire him for future projects, and I would recommend that you hire him too. He also takes credit cards, which is a huge plus!

ESTIMATE:
Derek showed up within his estimated time window for my estimate, and even sent me a text with his ETA when he was on his way. I appreciated this as I was managing several other contractors that day so having realtime updates on when he could come by helped me plan out the afternoon. He listened carefully as we walked him through the house and gave good advice on how to solve the problems we had.

WORK:
Overall, we had him:
- Add 6 recess lights to an upstairs room with very tall ceilings
- Add 6 recess lights to a downstairs room with regular ceilings
- Add a central ceiling light to 2 bedrooms with no built-in lighting
- Remove a very sketchy self-done lighting arrangement in the kitchen that the previous owner had run, which resulted in more than one exposed hot wire
- Tidy up the electrics of a wall area that was patched

Derek was able to accommodate our busy schedules and the fact that we weren't living in the home at the time. He worked around my availability and came to me to pick up my key, and then drop it off again at the end. He did the work in the house in the time quoted, and cleaned up after himself at the end. He even left us the drywall plugs from where he had to cut into the wall to run wiring, so it was very easy to repair the wall, and now we can't even tell that work was ever done!

Derek's honesty was really apparent as well. We had discussed our lighting needs in the upstairs room with the tall ceiling and had originally decided to go with 4. During the install, he discovered that the 4 wouldn't be enough due to the angle of the ceiling and a beam. He spent a lot of time running all the possible options, and then called us, carefully explaining the pros and cons of the 4 lights, versus his new recommendation of 6 lights. It didn't feel like an upsell at all, but instead like he really took the time to think about the purpose of the lights in the space, and what exactly we were looking for. We ended up taking his suggestion, and the 6 lights are perfect!

Derek is also a very well put together contractor. During the renovation process of our home I met with many contractors in a variety of different fields, and Derek was definitely the most professional in mannerisms and appearance. He showed up dressed well, wasn't boisterous or obnoxious, and calmly listened to us while we talked through our goals for the home.

We had a number issues in our recently purchased home. Francisco and Evan arrived as scheduled and were courteous and helpful. They explained everything they doing and helped us problem solve some unexpected complications. We will definitely call them again when we need an electrician.

I would highly recommend AMS Electric. I called them to ask about an issue I was having with a circuit breaker and to install a new outlet in my bathroom. They were able to come over that same day and do the work. The technician arrived when they said they would, helped me with the breaker, and then did a great job installing the new outlet. Communication was great and they did great work.
