Reign City Electric

Spoke with the owner of the company to discuss my project ideas. He was knowledgeable and provided quotes that were fair. They were able to get two people out within a few days to complete a 6 hour job. We have no complaints, the technicians arrived on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves.

I'm not one to leave reviews, but my experience with Eugene was such a nightmare and I'm hoping I can steer others clear of the headache. In short, this man is a liar and a poor communicator.

I reached out to Eugene with a simple 40-min job installation. I was in his schedule about 5 times before I finally got him through the door. There was always an excuse, whether it be delays in a job the day before, oversleeping, or as serious as family medical emergencies. At first I believed the more serious excuses and tried to stay patient. When he finally arrived for the job about a week after the initial scheduling, he changed his story multiple times to avoid completing the simple job that day, clearly rushing to his next appointment in his signature overbooked schedule. When he promised his return the next day... another emergency. His car broke down. He sent a video and it seemed plausible, but his communication once again broke down, with no word for the rest of the day. When we finally rescheduled he said that his dry wall repair guy, Patrick Laulu (great guy, would refer), would do the follow-up job for free as a favor to Eugene. Supposedly Patrick's car had broken down that day, and now Eugene was giving him rides around town. As a thank you to Eugene, he was going to do my small job for free. I figured, great, Eugene realizes what a headache this has been and is trying to make it right. The next day, Eugene shows up, no Patrick. He claims that when he went to Patrick's house to pick him up for the day, Patrick never answered the front door (and that's why he was an hour late to the job). Eugene finally does the job and leaves. Patrick comes back later that day and half way through the job I find out that not only did Eugene make up the entire story of Patrick's car breaking down and Eugene swinging by his house earlier that day, he also has no knowledge of this supposed deal of free dry walling. Of course Eugene never picks up his phone when I call for an explanation, instead texting that he's at a family event and can only text. Then of course, Eugene never texts back.

This is not a good guy. Maybe he takes bigger jobs more seriously, but I'd never recommend him. There's gotta be electricians with better character. Good riddance.

Finding a reliable electrician was proving to be super difficult until I got in contact with Eugene. Everything was so smooth, gave me a quote on the spot and was able to get my work scheduled the same week. Mike was my technician and he was fabulous!! Highly recommend and have already referred this company to my friends. I got a 240v outlet installed and they also fixed a few of my smart plugs/ random house electrical work. Worked so clean and quick!

I had contacted Eugene from Reign city electric for a Nema 14-50 outlet installation. Eugene was quick to provide a text message estimate based on a few details which was both competitive and great (few other companies charge $100 consultation fee that folds into the estimate if you choose them). It took a bit of time to schedule, but once we got it scheduled within a couple of days the technicians arrived promptly and completed the installation within an hour time. The quality of work was clean and the technicians took the time to verify the outlet installation and show it to me that it was working.

I will definitely be reaching out to Reign electric for any electrical work in the future.

Reign City was great to work with. Super responsive, quick to get out to the house, speedy repair. Very professional and I'll happily call them again for future work.

They responded to my Home Depot Pro Referral request but then proceeded to have miscommunication after miscommunication on who to actually send to do the job. Nobody showed up, then the wrong person showed up, and then nobody showed up again. The wrong person who came wasn't even capable of doing low voltage work and I still had to pay him a $120 fee just for driving out. Rather than doing the job themselves, they tried to get me to scam Comcast into doing it for free. Did not get a refund for the fee, didn't even get the task worked on at all.

It was good to finally find an electrical company that was willing to work with me on dealing with the creative solutions that I'm still finding by the previous owner. Eugene is a delight to talk with. If you are looking for quick service, he's always willing to have someone come out within a day or two. The last company I tried to work with not only took weeks to respond, but installed some less-than-quality parts. Not Reign City Electric. Mike took one look at the previous work and thought the receptacles were decades old when, in fact, that work was done barely a year ago. Now I know who to call when I'm ready and able to install, say, a car charging port. They gave me a reasonable estimate and made sure to get good parts as needed... without trying to upsell. I just got solar installed, but that didn't deter them like another company I tried to get a quote from (even though my job didn't need to even touch that system at all). They were patient with me, too, because I did have to call them out again when the creative system tried to migrate the problem. But they knew how to get us back to code and now things are working great!

If there is one thing they can improve upon, it might be some communication. On the one hand, their use of technology works well and offers very fast results. But sometimes, there were some good old fashioned kinds of contact that could have helped. We had a temporary mix-up when it came to invoices, and it would have been good to get a phone call when the electrician came to do the work so I could answer the door. But they had to work with my issues as well, and in the end everything worked out. Lessons for us both.

They deserve top stars. The peace of mind alone is worth it.

This contractor has a suspended license, since 3/15/23. I initially discussed my job in mid Feb. Two weeks ago, ‘unlicensed’ at the time, he contracted and scheduled electrical work at my rental property. He requested a 50% deposit the morning work was to begin. No show. Later that day, he said crew was in a car accident. Rescheduled for the following week and no show. No responses to email, text or phone. Has not paid back the money. Avoid at all cost.

Who are all these people saying this is great service? Eugene got paid upfront, but never sent anybody to do the job. Seems like a scam operation to me.

I contacted Reign City to install a light fixture in an awkward spot in my house (in the middle of a hallway with a 13-ft ceiling). They were very responsive and came over quickly to install the fixture. They did a great job and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend using Reign City if you need an electrician in the Seattle area.

Hired Reign City to remove knob and tube wiring from our home as well as ground several ungrounded outlets.

Received multiple texts to pay invoices which were not mine. Also sent incorrect invoices via email. This company is in DESPERATE need of an office manager.

The 3 day project took longer than planned, the crew disappeared over the 3 day weekend with no warning, leaving the project unfinished for days with no one to contact. Upon completion of the project, they failed to schedule an inspection, and have ghosted me ever since. ZERO response to phone calls, emails and text. The city said no permit was ever filed and no inspection requested.

Reign City Electric was awesome and I will definitely use them again for future electrical work. Eugene is very knowledgeable and responsive with communications. The electrician that came out was on time, assess the situation and quickly installed a new circuit breaker. I was very pleased with the work and service provided.

Estimate came in 10mins thru Yelp project request, I was able to talk to Eugene right after. James came the next day and did an Awesome job. Great manner and professionalism, plus THE PRICE OTHER WON’T BEAT.

I had contacted Eugene from Reign city electric for a Alarm panel power restoration, he got it fixed within an hour!! recommended 100% professional and affordable!!

My husband and I lugged a dryer down two sets of stairs only to find out the outlet was dead. Reign came out the next day, figured out the issue, and had the dryer up and running in less than an hour. Thanks, guys! Also love a business I can text with.

We had an emergency situation on Christmas Eve, where the electric panel was buzzing and the breaker of the refrigerator kept turning off. It was hard to find any electrician available. Eugene was super responsive, 24/7 service. Fixed the issue. Thank you so much. Definitely calling again in the future.

I had requested a quote for a whole-house generator backup install bid from this business through Yelp. Unfortunately, Eugene was not responsive to his commitment to his initial appointment date/time. He canceled the first appointment on the day of, suggesting the next day. I did not hear back after I said OK, and only got a response after repeated texts to his number. He said that he couldn't do that appointment date either and suggested the following day which again I agreed upon. The day arrived, and no follow up text or call for the appointment time. I decided not to bother texting or calling him back on this third attempt at an appointment as I figure it would likely also be a problem with communication during the installation process if this business was selected. Definitely not respectful of a potential customer's time. I had to keep those 3 days open just to accommodate his schedule, and yet, he lacked the courtesy to reach out to me as soon as he realized he could not make the appointment times. I would say to potential customers to take heed of communication issues with this business. What was even more aggravating was that these appointments were virtual (ie, he doesn't even have to travel to my home), but I would still have to be home to point the phone to the breaker box, location of gas meter, potential location of generator, etc.

They did a great job. Fast, affordable and efficient. I'm happy with my new fixture. Totally worth having someone help who knew what they were doing in a tall hard to reach area.

We were having extremely bad electrical issues and Reign City got their technicians out same day. Very professional and friendly customer service. I felt very comfortable that they were experienced at what they were doing. Their pricing were very reasonable. I will recommend to my friends and family. I will be using Reign City Electric any future needs.

Great experience with Reign City on two recent jobs— the replacement of a damaged outlet and a redo of some old wiring that led to problems when we installed a new ceiling fan. Fair prices, responsive, on time, good communication. 10/10 would hire again.

Appeared to lose track of what day the walk-through for a quote was. Attempted to change to a Facetime walk-through. Then never called. No follow-up.

I bet I'm at least as busy as you are and I don't appreciate you wasting my time when there are other qualified contractors I could have been dealing with.

Reign City is a solid group! They came in to quickly assess my electrical project and provided a very fair quote. Super communicative and realistic in their expectations around completion timing. Definitely recommend!

I'm so grateful for Eugene and his team quickly resolving my electrical challenges, especially in these busy times. Every technician was kind, knowledgeable, and took time to explain the work that needed to be completed. I found out that I had an old electrical panel board that was out not up to code and posed a fire hazard. I contacted Reign City Electric and Eugene was quick to reply. Due to the house being a rental, I could only have them come in on certain days. Eugene was able to work around my schedule and get the work done the same day. I also had a GFI outlet that had gone bad and they were able to fix the issue in the same trip. This is my second time using Reign City Electric, and they have been great both time.

I hired Reign City Electric to do some electrical work which included replacing some light switches/outlets, replacing some light fixtures, replacing a bathroom fan, and replacing existing thermostats with smart thermostats. Work was excellent but communication and scheduling was not great. On several occasions, Eugene didn't seem to remember what day I had been scheduled for as he texted/called asking when I wanted to schedule service. Eugene sent Perez out to do the work but he wasn't able to finish on the first day. He promised he would come back the next day to finish the work at 8:30 AM. No one showed up. I had to call Eugene to ask where the Perez was. I understand everyone is experiencing a labor shortage but if you don't have staff to cover for the next day, just tell me in advance so I'm not waiting around. I end up getting rescheduled for another day with George who finished the rest of the job.

Great guy that runs the business. Prompt on the first service call. My second not so much. Took the day off and no one showed up. Called Him up and he said a job from yesterday ran over to Monday. So I blew my last day of the year. Made an appointment for the next day. So had to have my Mom come over and wait. The service tech that showed up didn’t know what he was there for. My thoughts are he needs to manage his schedule better. Maybe farm that out to someone.

I had Reign City install an outlet for a heat pump and put in a couple more outlets indoor. Overall I found the service to be good. There were a few times where we had miscommunications around scheduling and the work to be done but Eugene worked with me when brought to his attention. I would use again

Our electrical meter malfunctioned causing a complete loss of power and significant damage to the incoming wire supply and electrical panel inside of the house. We reached out to several companies and Reign City was the first to respond. Eugene and his crew went beyond expectations to ensure we understood what was needed and made sure the work was done to the highest standard. Reign city electric has been out twice for electric work at our house. Both times the technicians were very professional, knowledgeable, and fair. They were able to assess and address the issues quickly. I really appreciate when someone takes pride in their work and doesn’t upsell anything either. Good communication with Eugene as well. Eugene's bid was both the lowest cost and the best technical solution of all the proposals I solicited. Thus, I was satisfied that I was getting the best value for my money. He was also the most responsive in terms of time and ability to get the job done in a timely manner. His crew was extremely professional and the quality of the finished work was excellent. I so impressed with how professional the electrician was who Eugene sent out to my place! As a new homeowner, I had no clue what to do when the light fixture went out in my bathroom. I bought a whole new unit thinking that could be the issue. Yet Moath came out and found the issue within 20 minutes, which had nothing to do with the unit. Haha! There are some really great guys working a family business.
They have saved my bacon several times rewiring some old wiring in my home and although they strongly recommend the whole home being rewind (yes it needs it) they accept that at this time it's just not in my budget. It's a little at a time at this point.
They are so easy to work with and they do a good job 👏🏽
In my view, they are highly recommended as they have never done me wrong and are always reasonably available.

We had old electrical panel that needed to be replaced, some wiring issues with outdoor light not working, relocate electrical socket from one side of the wall to other and we also wanted to add another matching light for other side of the garage to have better lighting on our driveway. We have dealt with several people from this company (the estimate guy, the one who did the installs and the one I communicated about scheduling) and they were all extremely helpful, listened to all of our concerns, were patient and explained things to us in terms we understood. Extremely happy we hired them. Definitely will keep them in mind for future projects

Eugene came out within 24 hours of our requesting an estimate. He explained everything that would happen - even the fact that a complete rewire would be messy. Very happy with the crew(s) he sent out - they answered all our questions and solved all our problems. Would use Reign Electric again and encourage you to use them also. These guys are great!

Reign City came to my rescue. My electrical panel was quickly on it’s way to burning up and Eugene was the first electrician to respond to my call. He sent someone out first thing the next morning to triage and keep us safe until the panel could be fully replaced and installed the next day. Within two days of contacting him, we have a nice new panel and my family is safe and well lit. So grateful that I found Reign City and would highly recommend. Reign City was priced much more competitively than all other electricians (I had contacted over 6 electricians for quotes in the area) so I was hesitant at first (what’s the catch I kept thinking?) but the work was done super fast, thoroughly and efficiently! Clean, professional and capable - all the things you look for in a company you hire. Called after to see how it all went, reminded us of the warranty on the work. As a new homeowner, I tried my hand at replacing switches, outlets and panels by myself by watching YouTube tutorials. However, some of these attempts ended up unsuccessful. I needed these repaired as quickly as possible, so I reached out to many electricians in the area desperately. Reign Electric were the only ones that tried their best to squeeze me into their schedule. Eugene was responsive and coordinated with me to have Mike the electrician come in while I was out of state. Mike was kind and passionate about his work, explaining to me what my mistakes were when installing the switches and letting me know of his progress. Both Eugene and Mike seem knowledgeable about their field. I really appreciate that they are a business that feels a lot more personable and I will definitely call them again if I have any other electrical work to do.

I purchased a very old home and finding a reliable electrician has been difficult! Reign City was the third electrician we worked with. While they discovered more items for our “to be repaired list” I ended the day with some major problems fixed, a clear idea of how to improve safety, and a smile on my face. The electrician was patient, showed me why things weren’t working, moved quickly, and clearly understood the complexities of what he does. Couldn’t be happier. Would recommend and will use again.

I needed a new dedicated circuit to support replacing a dishwasher. Got an appointment within a few days. Given the small nature and the need for a quick turn around Eugene recommended skipping the estimate and go with time and materials. I trusted him and it paid off. Team was in and out in a couple of hours and we are all set for the dishwasher installation. Nice crew. Clean and neat at all times. Will use again.

Very professional and efficient. My six month old Rottweiler puppy's leash got caught on the baseboard heater (the heater was off). She basically ripped the baseboard out of the wall trying to get away. I called Reign City Electric and was able to get a quote the same day and get serviced within the same week. The staff is nice and very responsive. I will definitely use them in the future for electrical needs.

After contacting multiple electricians in the area, Reign City Electric was by far the best priced and most responsive - they even had someone come out the same day I called! Eugene and Jose were very polite and communicative. The installed lights look amazing and Jose was so fast. We will definitely be contacting them for other future projects. Thank you!

These guys are fast and efficient. Eugene gave me great advice over the phone, and Roberto came and installed a dedicated circuit for my server rack in record time. Super respectful of our high covid risk - Roberto had a quality N95 when he arrived - and everything was put back exactly as he found it. A+!

So impressed with them. Had to reschedule a few times because of my hectic schedule to replace my incredibly old panel- typical Seattle home, didn’t skip a beat, they were flexible and accommodating. His technician (Craig) was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to ensure my wife and I understood the work he was doing and the decisions he was making. Overall, extremely satisfied with the work to install three new ceiling lights and wire up a new switch for a garbage disposal we put in. These guys are fully licensed pros!

Power went out on about 2/3 of the house the evening of December 23. Called Eugene, the owner on the business line, he said he'd send guys out next day (Christmas Eve). They arrived before 10 am, diagnosed the problem--lost power in one line that comes into the house (a Seattle City Light problem)--then spent over an hour reworking the box so we could maximize whatever power that was left. Ended up with power to the furnace, refrigerators and freezers and modem. Will get us through Christmas when we can get SCL to fix the line itself.

It is supposed to drop to 10 F soon. A wife, two kids and a dog--would not have worked without heat. Great job. These are our new electricians, for sure!!

Part 2!! Couple months later, and pretty much the same thing happens last night. We call Eugene, and the next morning one of his guys (Jose) is at our house, diagnosing everything. This time, it wasn't the SCL connection, or the meter. It was the box itself. So we are getting a new one. Eugene has quoted us a price that is literally a quarter of the price we've had quoted to us by a large company for the same kind of box. Ridiculous. But we aren't complaining, that's for sure.

These guys are responsive, friendly, competent and well priced. That is not always an easy combination to find, to put it mildly. 5 stars, no question.

Eugene and his team were great. We installed a sauna and they came to hook up the electrical. The cost was very reasonable, the crew showed up on time, were professional and did a great job in very little time.

I have used Reign City Electric before, and I had an emergency that required them to come to my home on extremely short notice. Not only were they able to accommodate my urgent request, but they were able to fix my issue quickly and professionally. They were a pleasure to work with, and I would absolutely recommend and use again!

I was to first start off by saying I had no clue as to what I was doing. I thought by the time I was done watching a few you tube videos, I would be a professional 🤦🏾‍♀️, boy was I wrong. A simple plug addition turned into 2 days with no power usage upstairs in my home and a blown breaker. At that point I said “ okay it’s time to call in the professionals”… I called Reign City. I spoke with Eugene and told him what happened. I had a technician out the next day. He looked at all the wires in the socket and said “ what do you have going on here, why are there so many wires”😂…needless to say he fixed what I had done and installed the outlet perfectly. The service was fast and efficient. I told him of my plan to install a ceiling fan in the master bed room. He looked at all the wiring and said “ I think you gonna need some help “😂😂😂😂 I strongly agree. I will be using this company when I get my ceiling fan installed.💯 I recommend this company if you want great quality service.

Reign City Electric did a great job installing our EV car charger. They got it hooked up and neatly located exactly where we wanted it in the center column of the garage. The techs are knowledgeable and even helped us fix errors in the panel labels that weren't updated by the previous electrician.

Eugene sent out workers the next day to help with an attic wire problem, which is much appreciated. I am particularly impressed with communication with Eugene - he is very transparent and fair, and his integrity really stands out. I suggested to him to mandate workers wear foot covering in future and he was receptive. I think his business will just get better with him setting the right tone, and keeping doing the right thing. Kudos.

Everything from beginning to end was simple and easy. I received feedback from Reign City Electric quickly after I reached out for a quote and was able to get someone over in a few short days to assess the project.

The assessment was brief and they were able to get someone out to me immediately in the same day to help install an electric outlet for my washer. The gentleman who came by to install the outlet only needed 15 - 20 minutes to complete the installation. I am grateful that the process was so smooth and much less intimidating than I originally thought.

Eugene and his creW are responsive and professional. I had multiple requests and changes but they are patient and work hard to do a perfect job. I will definitely come back for other jobs.

Hired Reign City to install a ceiling fan. During a refreshingly friendly phone call, the owner provided the price estimate and scheduled the work. Electrician called ahead of the appointment time to ask if he could arrive early, which worked fine. The electrician was courteous and professional, finished his work within the timeframe the owner had told me it would take to complete the job. I'm very happy with the result and will definitely hire them again when I have an electrical related task.

Jose replaced 4 exterior light fixtures and 4 interior ones. Additionally, he installed a bar light fixture, hid the cord behind the fixture, cut holes in the dry wall to rewire and added a light switch (including walking us through all of the alternatives to cord and switch placement). We very much appreciated his knowledge of aesthetics in rewiring the fixture. It looks great!

We were having a problem with multiple outlets on one room. He was able to identify the problem and find the tripped circuit. (We have 3 circuit boxes, but couldn't find the problem ourselves.)

Some of the light fixtures he installed seemed too bright for their locations. Jose was able to install dimmer lights as requested.

My husband and I greatly appreciate the professionalism and suggestions/insights into all of our electrical needs!

We had an issue with one of our light switches sparking and smoking. Most companies were proposing charging hundreds of dollars for an emergency call - Reign City offered to walk me through it over the phone as it was a simple fix. An honest business that I will work with whenever we have electrical needs. Highly recommended!

Our house was done last year, and during the remodel the construction company neglected to hook up the sump pump. Eugene and his guys were able to hook us up with a new outlet that same week.

After another company had tried to upgrade me to a $1,000+ panel board I didn’t need Eugene at Rain City was able to explain some best practices and minimal rewiring which solved the issue at hand. So above all this is a company in my experience which prioritizes solving your issue over making maximum profit.
