Allgood Electric just finished an outstanding job of installing recessed lighting in our home. Brian, their lead electrician on the job, was extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous and, the team working with Brian are to be commended as well. I recently purchased a backup generator and needed an electrician to install a Generator Transfer Switch at the main power panel. I called around and finally located a company that could do the job here in San Antonio (not every company can, or will do this). That company was Firefly Electric Services. They dispatched an electrician to come out and give me an estimate on the installation. The electrician immediately noticed that the main power panel had been hit with what appeared to be a surge from a lightning strike. I confirmed that there had been a lightning strike a year or so earlier that hit the house. During his investigation it was determined that hooking up a backup generator to the current main panel may prove to be unwise, even dangerous. He advised me that the damage should be covered by my homeowners insurance. He took pictures of all the damage to the main & sub panel and wrote up his findings and recommendation for fixing the problem. I submitted his information with a claim to the insurance company and the insurance did cover the damage. Firefly came back out, installed a new main & sub power panel, new ground, new surge protectors on both panels and they also installed the generator transfer switch. (See photos) As a retired Navy vet who worked in and around electrical wiring for over twenty-years, I've got to say that the Firefly Team was one of the best, if not the best team, I have ever seen. They are totally professional, on-time, and very thorough in their work and in explaining their work. Josh, the team lead on the job, showed me all the tricks for operating my brand new, straight out of the box generator. We actually used the generator with extension cords to power my two refrigerators while the house was out of power for the 6 hours it took to finish the job. I was EXTREMELY PLEASED with the finished product. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Firefly Electric Services. I want to thank everyone at Firefly for a JOB VERY WELL DONE! We just got a quote and really for just the missing piece the other guys said they couldn’t do, and so we went ahead and showed them the list and the quote was half what the other guys were going to charge including the missing job! We will definitely be calling to have the job done when ready!

I was referred to this company through my home warranty. The entire experience was horrific. I had to call numerous times, across several days, to even get scheduled for an appointment because he was too busy or didn't have his calendar available, and then he forgot to call me back. Once I finally did get something set up (5 days after I reported the issue to the home warranty company), he was a no call/no show for my appointment. I called and texted NUMEROUS times with no answer. So here we are on day 9 of no lights in my main living areas. This company is extremely unprofessional. RUN AWAY!

Matt and his team did great work! I got a quote from one of the large electrical companies in San Antonio and it was prohibitively expensive. Matt was able to offer installation of 6 outlets with a new circuit at a much better cost. His team was able to do it same week and it only took a few hours. He also pulled the permit for us and we passed the inspection the next day.

I highly recommend this business they have very experienced workers very polite and very efficient with very reasonable prices.

We used this company for solar panels. Salesperson was Jaime Ruiz. Supposedly lives in my neighborhood. We financed $95,000 of solar panels, electric work and a Generac generator. Part of the sales pitch was he would pay 6 months loan payments and we would get the IRS rebate. We were installed in October and have been asking for the loan payments since at least December and have yet to be reimbursed. Two weekends in a row we were told he (Jaime Ruiz) would be by with payment and he has no showed two weekends in a row. We have also texted the owner, Eric, who has been unresponsive. Super unprofessional. Super deceptive business practices. Next stop BBB. Do yourself a favor and find a more honest and reliable company.
