Did an amazing job, took the time to do the inspection find the problem and corrected it immediately. Fix pipe in ceiling that was leaking replaced dry wall with paint. Mickel also sealed up the roof were squirrels were entering as well as fixing the sink and tightening down to granite. Amazing job done also he left the house clean just like he found it, did not cut corners and was a reasonable price compared to the competition. I love that I was able to text Jason pictures and videos of my job and get a quick quote via text.After receiving the quote, I decided to move forward with Jason and Mickel Handyman service as his quote was miles cheaper than others I had received.Jason was on time and ready to work at the time that we had scheduled. My daughter and I live in Vegas. My daughter owns a home in San Antonio. This particular incident she needed her water heater fixed. She received and estimate to replace the water heater by a plumbing company and their quote was $1800 to do this work. I was shocked to hear this price, so my daughter asked if I could find someone to give her a 2nd opinion. Mind you I live in Vegas and needed work done in San Antonio, so I started looking for someone reputable. To my delight I came in contact with Jason at Mickel Handyman Services. Jason at Mickel Handyman Services worked well into the night to diagnose said water heater and again to my delight Jason was able to not only clean and flush the heater and change the filaments at a price that was more than $1500 in savings. It is difficult to find this type of integrity and honesty. I will recommend this company to anyone needing the services this company offers. Highly highly highly recommend. Thank you again jason. I had Jason come to give me an estimate on replacing boards on my chimney that the raccoons had broken. He and his helper got to my house at the time we agreed on. He looked at what was needed and gave a cost that was within my budget and completed the job in one day. They also did a few things that I was going to do but was glad that now I don't have to and all was done for the quoted price. I am very happy with the work done and the professional manner that they showed I will have him do all my handyman work and I will recommend him to those who ask.

I contacted Jason to see about having a brass mirror installed in a half bathroom, he was very accommodating for a Saturday work request. He arrived and completed the installation, was very courteous and professional. Would recommend him to family/friends.

Jason and his son in law were both extremely nice and funny. They did a fantastic job with our cabinet hardware, door locks, and curtain rods. They even checked with us on very specific details which my wife and I appreciated. We are definitely going to be hiring them again.

Hired Jason to fix our under-mount kitchen sink which fell after the glue came off. Jason promptly gave me a quote over the phone and came to fix it within a couple of hours. He did a great job making a harness for the sink so that it does not come off again. Very efficient, great quality of work, very reasonable prices (compared to other big name handyman services) and a great guy who treated us with respect! Will hire him again for any work around the house.

I cannot recommend this company enough. I had to have them come out on a Sunday evening and replace a door. When they got here, they showed me that more work needed to be done but did not try to charge me more. I had to have them come back because it was getting late but they patched the door up enough for use in the meantime. When they came back, they performed the job perfectly and even did more work than I expect and AGAIN, did not up charge more. Jason was very quick and responsive. He came out quickly even on Christmas for our AirBnB. One of the burners didn’t want to turn off so he came out and fixed it quickly and safely. Very honest, stayed until the job was completed. We had a project (kitchen island with sink, dishwasher, plumbing and electrical) which had ready to assemble cabinets with flimsy plastic bases, he built a wooden structure to anchor the cabinets to instead of the flimsy bases the cabinets came with. We got a much better product than we had hoped for. He did an excellent job. Have used 4 contractors in the past that have stolen from us and have given us subpar work. On Christmas Day one of our properties had a stove top burner that wouldn’t turn off and we were worried about a gas leak. We called Jason after calling 20 others and he was there 20 minutes after we called. Wish we would have called him first! Great guy to work with. Highly recommend.

I called Jason to do some repairs on my shop. We scheduled a time for him to review what I needed done. He showed up as scheduled and gave me a very reasonable quote.He scheduled to do the repairs at a date the next week. He called beforehand to verify that we were still on and showed up as scheduled. He was quick, neat and efficient. When he left, the job was done and the area he worked was cleaner than when he got there.I have a few other things to be done around the house. If it's something I'm not going to do, he'll be my first call.

Back in November 2020, he missed the first appointment. He apologized and said I would get a discount. Tried to book another appointment and he wasn’t on time. Booked a third appointment and he finally showed up but didn’t call to let me know he was on his way. But anyway, he looked at my house and said he would send a quote thru email in a few hours. I didn’t get the quote for 3 days!! And I had to text him twice for it. After he sent the quote thru text and not email, he didn’t even try to ask “does this work for you? When would you like to start?” Didn’t even tell me if it included the discount. He was not interested in my business I guess. I thought businesses wanted to make money?

Jason and his team are wonderful outstanding folks to do business with. Jason listened to the issues came up with a game plan and executed the plan. Jason Mickel is a very hard working, honest, ethical person who truly cares about his customer and the job he does for them. We had a big remodel going on and Jason was there till everything we needed him to do got done. Framing, installing French doors, other interior doors, lots of sheetrock and lots of electrical. He even built out some plywood countertops in the kitchen when we realized that we wouldn't have countertops in time. Would definitely recommend.

Mickel Handymam Services came out and fixed a problem on our roof where animals kept getting in. They were quick and did an awesome job. Plus they even did some extra touches like trimming the trees back off the roof at no extra charge. Friendly, honest, reliable work. The next day I called Mr. Mickel and he took care of everything. Mr. Mickel came over to my house after I got off work on a Saturday about 7pm which helped me out a lot. Mr. Mickel finished in a timely manner and he put a lot of love into his work. If you want the job to get done right the first time at a great price Mr. Mickel is the person you want to talk to.

Jason was incredibly responsive and twice now has proven himself to be highly skilled and affordable when fixing issues in our 70-year-old-but-new-to-us home. From plumbing to electricity to roofing issues, he did it all readily, skillfully and affordably.

I attempted a home improvement project and it was a DISASTER!! I made a huge mess and was completely lost, I called Mickel handyman service and they were SO friendly and didn’t judge me at all for my debacle of a flooring attempt. They came out same day and did way more than I even hoped and were extremely reasonable! I figured I would have to do clean up and I had a cord that needed to be attached to the wall, they went ahead and did it for me so I didn’t have to! And they cleaned up the mess I made with the flooring and didn’t say a word about it, I was so embarrassed it went so bad! Stay Very Far Away!Jason Mickel (Owner), completely failed at providing quality work, customer service and honoring is obligations.The Owner did a very poor job on installing our new pre-hung exterior door. Jason showed up a full hour LATE. The project took Jason and his partner 9 hours to install. Sadly, the work was done CARELESSLY, the sealant was globed on and the door was not aligned properly. I contact and spoke with Jason multiple times regarding the work. Jason apologized and promised he would return to correct. We have sinced attempted to reschedule these corrections THREE times with Jason with no prevail. Everytime is a different excuse on why he cannot show up. Needless to say Stay Very Far Away From These Folks.Bad Business!

Sheet metal, on my roof and over the patio cover, came loose in these gusting winds. It sounded like the entire roof was going to fly off. It was after 5pm, I called Mickel Handyman Services, praying for him to be available. Without hesitation, he said yes, give me an hour. And in an hour, he arrived, in the dark, formulated a plan, executed the repair in 35 mi an hour cold winds, and charged me a very reasonable price to boot!! Am I impressed? Absolutely! Will use him again? Absolutely.

I’m so happy to have finally found a handyman! Jason was responsive via call/text, quickly available to repair the ceiling fan that was falling out of my ceiling, and he even waited for me when I was running late to meet him. Great service all around.

I have been a Employee for Mr.Jason Mickle for over a year now and this by far is the best job I've had in my entire life. He gave me a position on his team and has since then became a mentor and teacher of his craft. He has taken the time to give me hands on training and showed me skills I will use throughout my lifetime. Every job we have done we have completed and have had no problems getting paid. Bonuses are given regularly and he even buys every Employee lunch every day. I've never heard of an employer doing this every single day for his workers. Must cost the guy a fortune to feed his army. But I'm very thankful that I was put in his path cause now I'm making the type of money I've always dreamed of making. I have 8 kids and up until I started with this company I struggled to make ends meat. That no longer is a problem. I just bought a house in his neighborhood and he comes to help me fix it up on his downtime. Hes never charged me a single dollar neither, just tells me, that's what I'm here for, make sure your at work in the morning. Gotta love a guy that takes pride in his work and goes above and beyond for his employees. Im hoping to learn alot from this man cause his craft is second to none. This guy is awesome. He not only did the work he came for he also went above and beyond by ensuring the storm door fit securely and fixed the front doir. He fit me in on a Saturday due to his busy schedule. We will be calling him again shortly for fence repairs. He does it all.

Just got the most childish phone call of this guy trying to bully me. He is NOT professional at all. Jason contacted me for and insisted that he start work on Thursday 6/22 So I said ok. He comes out at 730pm and starts work which is ok I dont live in home yet pd the guy half to start which was $270. The guy enters my home and starts looking around my house. All he needed to do was be in the kitchen doing the backsplash. He left and has never came back to finish the backsplash. He made excuse after excuse. I told my husband about it. He calls him. And he hangs up on my husband like a child. Then calls me and tries to tell lies about what my husband said and I had to stop him and tell him thats not how it played out. He then in turns starts getting attitude and treating me like Im trash. Then he starts insisting that Im being rude. Well yes I will start being rude when someone talks to you the way he did. He then in turns starts mimicking me. This guy is 50 yrs old and acted so unprofessional. Very disappointed in his behavior. Save your money and time and seek someone who is respectable and mature. Love how he couldnt call my husband back and talk like adults Instead he calls the wife and bullies her. I saved all text. Oh and he didnt do $270 worth of work either. And left a huge mess. Took pics and sent to my dad to confirm if that was worth $270 he said it wasnt worth $150. Also he uses your yard as an ashtray. UPDATE 6:27 I have all texts saved and calls. He said I slandered him and is suing me on Monday. 3:55 PM Saturday and he never had any intentions of coming out. He text me last night at 10pm and told me he wasnt coming out yesterday. And never contacted me after that. BREACH OF CONTRACT. Once again he text the little lady instead of husband. Started 2 weeks ago? Where was this stated? You knew house was being painted 2 weeks and then the flooring was a week. We said we would contact you when all was finished. We would never agree to you being in there knowing painters and flooring guys were there. The contract doesnt state a date nice try. And my husband only gave you attitude because you kept getting louder when he was trying to ask questions. And you said you would work Thursday and Friday. You didnt work Friday. Never showed up Saturday. I told you Thursday that if you needed to finish up Monday. You said No I will finish in 2 DAYS. Well guess what 3 days and the wall isnt even close to being done. Very disappointed honestly. Reread contract there is NO DATE as to when he would start. I will GLADLY show my contract to everyone or anyone. I LOVE how he said he planned on coming out to my house. He wrote his review around 6pm. When did you plan on coming out at 8 again? THANK YOU

I had the weirdest request and Mr. Michel came to my house on a Sunday to help me. I had a large bird nest trapped in a vent in my attic. He came and removed the nest and fixed the hole where the birds had gotten in. I was worried about the babies in the nest, but he was able to move the nest to a safe place and the momma came back! Thank you so much for his help!

Mr. Mickel went above and beyond thencalnof duty, staying late to not only repair what he came for, but to fix other things he found for no extra charge, to assure the job was done right this time. I was optimistic after reading all the rave reviews. But sad to say he’s just bad at communicating. We’ve agreed to meet 3 times and not only did he not show up, he never bothered to call/sms or anything. I sent reminders too, but there was zero responses. He doesn’t answer calls too.I don’t recommend, and anyone interested is better off downloading Thumbtack app, and finding REAL professionals.

This guy was great. Had a Water leak he found it immediately which saved us big, then he fixed it for unbelievable price. He stayed until we were satisfied and he did a great job, saving us hundreds of dollars. Thank you sir.

Called this service to fix a Water issue and he was staright up honest with the price and what would happen. Showed up on time and did an amazing job! Will definetely turn to him again when the occasion calls.

My husband found him on the internet and he came out to do some repairs on our chimney plus little extra work and I will have him as our handy man again. So if you need a handyman call him he does excellent work.

I contacted initially, got a response, sent pics, got a quote, and then I got ghosted. Tried to contact through email, website, and phone. No one returned calls. After giving them 3 weeks to respond, there is little chance but to give a negative review. So: no communication, nothing fixed.

On December 28th 2017, I contracted with Mickel Handyman Service to replace 72 ceiling tile at the San Antonio, TX – Wainright Post Office Station. I agreed to pay Mickel Handyman Services $864 for replacing the 72 ceiling tiles We sent a deposit in the amount of $432 on December 28, 2017, It is now March 9, 2018 and the work has still not been completed. He will not answer my phone calls, emails or letters. He refuses to do the work and he refuses to send the deposit back. He stole the $432 deposit.

We sent the money to Jason through Zelle and as soon as we did, he cancelled the bid (See attached text messages). Which is fine but he claimed the money never came through. The next morning we tried contacting Jason and got no response. So we contacted Zelle via USAA and put a stop payment claim. Which didn't work because Jason had already received the money. Once we notified Jason that we tried a stop payment on the Zelle transfer, we received more text messages (please read them) and a voicemail from him irate that we submitted a claim against him. To top things off, we then we received another voicemail from his wife stating not everyone wakes up before 9am. REALLY, who does that as a business?Now he is claiming it will take 45 days to refund our money because we put a claim in against him. Which again is false. He is claiming we are withholding our information, again which is false, In Zelle all you have to do he has to do is add the phone number and transfer the money back.This company has zero customer service and continually threatened us with calls to lawyers (see attached text messages), for what I don't know, they have our money and provided no services.So, we did a little more digging...we initially chose this company based on their reviews and his BBB accreditation. Well that is false as well, see the attached photos from the BBB, this company is not BBB accredited as their website states. If you go into the BBB to scope out this company you will also see others that have had the same treatment that we are currently receiving and there is no telling when this will resolve.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for any Handyman services. You have been warned.*note* - if you view the text messages screen shots, the customer in purple, Mickel Handyman Service is in Grey.Edit: Jason, thanks for another screen shot to show others your customer service skills.Update: 12/20/2020 Jason still hasn't returned our money. Looks like we are going to have to go to court to get money back he stole for doing zero service. He hasn't responded to text messages and it's been passed the magical 45 days his bank said it would take. Stay far away from this business. It'll cost you more in the long run.

Called for an estimate. They were nice to me, set up an appointment to see me, then they stood me up without calling or anything. This company is trash.

Had an undermount leaking sink that was repaired by Jason at a good price. He went above and beyond the service I called for. Highly recommend
