We've used American Electrical about half a dozen times over the years for residential work, from changing a few outlets to a full rewiring of our kitchen. They are great - always responsive, show up on time, and do great work. Prices are very reasonable. Josh is great! He helped us by offering suggestions during our kitchen remodel. We'll continue to use them in the future.

Wes and Gilmore are always prompt, polite, do clean work and are very knowledgeable. They thoroughly explained what they were doing and why, leaving my wife and me feeling safe and secure with our electrical system and installed components.

We had a lighting strike and their tech was able to locate the problem and fix it quickly..... great job, courtesy tech and very knowledgeable.

The work got done, but the experience was strange. The first electrician showed up, did a walk through and wrote up an estimate, was very professional. I signed the estimate and scheduled, then the electrician showed up, didn't seem to have any info what the job was, I had to show him. There was a GFCI to be installed, it was on the estimate but the electrician didn't seem to know anything about it, completed work and left (job done). The GFCI was missed. I called and NH sent him back the next business day to install the GFCI - the electrician then asked if an inspection was going to be done, I told him yes, and he wanted to know if all the work would be inspected or just the GFCI. Why would that matter? Shouldn't all the work be done up to inspection standards? After the job was completed (the second time) I received some emails with 'customer's signature' for commencement of work and acceptance of work done - I didn't sign those forms. The electrician didn't have any forms with him for me to sign and nothing that could have taken an electronic signature. It was all very odd. The inspection hasn't happened yet, and I'm hoping there are no problems, but it makes me reluctant to use the service again.

I needed a complete rewire for my 1939 house in St Nicholas. I gathered quotes and the other electricians said I would have extensive wall damage after they did their work. But I hired Burbank Electric and Richard and Mitchell did an amazing job completing the job with very minor wall damage which they repaired!! I have used John-Micheal, Chris and James several times over the years for electrical and HVAC issues for myself and my customers. The nice thing about them is they are very responsive, and are always trying to figure out your best alternative, not necessarily just sell a new system. Since they are Mechanical and Electrical contractors they can handle a broad array of situations which helps the projects run smoothly and on time. I have only used them for residential projects, but I understand that they can handle large commercial and governmental type situations with ease. I met with Johnny after he gave me a quote to do some much needed work on my new home. I went over a few additional items I wanted done and he took notes, and I asked for an updated quote with the additional work listed as well. One week later, I hadn't heard back from them. I called and he said he had been busy and would get me the quote as soon as he could. Fast forward 2 more weeks, I hadn't heard anything back. I called again and spoke to someone else who told me they'd get in touch with him and give me a call back by that afternoon. That was over a week ago!

Either they can't/don't want to do the work and refuse to just say so, or have absolute terrible scheduling/note taking practices. Either way, we're going with someone else who actually wants to take my money! I consider myself a pretty loyal customer to someone who treats me right, so they definitely lost a lifelong customer with that move.
