We called Joe Schmo because of a few problems with an outlet and a non-working doorbell. Jeremy was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. He found that the work by a prior electrician sub-contractor resulted in two wires, from the panel to the attic, being drilled into and split. He replaced both wires and everything worked again! Charge was fair and work was completed in a short amount of time.

David Electric can be counted on to get the job done! Bill was able to quickly fix an outlet that wasn't working and problem solve a motion detection light that was inoperable. He took the initiative to check an outlet in the garage noticing that it was wired to the garage door opener and motion detector light so if the outlet want working those items wouldn't work either. Now they are independent of each other. I also had David Electric wire a direct vent fireplace for me a few weeks ago and was pleased with the job.

We called RC Electric and had Ryan come out to give us a quote on running a sub-panel and the electrical rough-in for our basement renovation. He showed up on time, answered all my questions, and was knowledgeable. It wasn't until we got the itemized quote that we were upset. Out of 7 different electricians we received quotes from, RC Electric was by far the highest. They wanted to charge us $10,150 for the same job that I just paid $5,500 for. Even the second highest estimate was only $7,500. So why was I being charged so much more you ask? Answer: Marked up parts and almost double labor costs. A simple example was the cost of the 100-Amp sub-panel. RC Electric wanted to charge me $879 just for the sub-panel and that doesn't include the breakers or the cost of running the wire from the main panel to the new sub-panel. The electrician I used only charged $350 for a 100-Amp sub-panel parts and that included the cost of the breakers. As I read further through the rest of the quote, it was the same thing repeated. Price increases on everything. I will never use RC Electric even if they did amazing work. Take some advice from me and always get 5-7 quotes for the same job so you don't get screwed out of your hard earned money.

I spoke to Sam who was very professional and getting me scheduled in a very timely manner. I also can't say enough about Patrick. Patrick was incredibly kind and humble, and did an absolute AWESOME job installing my ceiling fans. He came up with a work around in order to install my ceiling fan in the kitchen. My local power company was unable to diagnose the problem. I contacted RU Electrical Service, Inc at approximately 6:00 pm to schedule emergency service. Mr. Bird answered my telephone call personally and came to my home immediately. He diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently. He explained the problem to me and then called the power company to advise them. In spite of further service needed by the power company, he continued to work diligently to restore power to my home.
