Our heat went out Christmas week, and we needed the electrical system checked and repaired so the heat tech could finish the furnace work. Other electricians would not dispatch until after Christmas. I called DAVID Electric, and they had a tech to my house within 2 hours. Adam was great at checking everything and explaining what needed to be fixed. I needed a new disconnect on my furnace unit outside. He checked all the wiring in and outside until everything was reading fully powered. I was afraid this top-notch service was going to result in a huge bill. It was under 300, which I considered a steal. I recommend DAVID Electric for their professional attitude, for their speedy scheduling and for getting the job done in a timely manner. Adam was great at explaining things, stayed steady working, and showed me the completed work. 5 star service at reasonable rates. Pick DAVID Electric!

Called David Electric to come out and hang a new ceiling fan up in my living room. They were able to schedule me the next day. I was initially scheduled with one electrician but they had an emergency. They called prior to my appointment time to let me know that there would be a different electrician coming. I appreciated their communication and responsiveness. I ended up having a fantastic, friendly electrician who was able to come on time, quickly remove my existing ceiling fan and replace it with my new ceiling fan. Great service and will definitely be booking again for all my electrician needs.

I highly recommend David Electric because of their commitment to saving customers both time and money. I received multiple quotes to upgrade my electrical panel. David Electric beat all of the competitors and were alignment with HomeAdvisor’s average for upgrading an electrical panel. The technicians were polite, responsive, and showed up on time. 6/24/2022: I utilized David Electric to install my Tesla Wall Connector. Again, the cost was very affordable compared to what Tesla and others quoted me. David hires excellent technicians and I would highly recommend for installing your Tesla wall connector too. Brian the Service delivery manager is easy to work with. I would say that he treats customers like they are always right, and that he does the right thing for his customers.

I highly recommend David Electric. Several months ago, we experienced two electrical issues - one with our outdoor driveway lights and another with our electricity to our bedroom. I believe it was Max who came over, and he was outstanding. He was warm, professional, and after kindly greeting our dog and assuring him that he was a safe guest, he quickly got to work. Max inspected the issue, explained the problem clearly, and addressed it. The price was fair, and we haven't had an issue since.

We were blessed to meet Isaiah who is part of the David Electric family. Isaiah greeted us warmly, addressed all of our questions and concerns, made the needed electrical repairs and did an outstanding job! The ethical standards of Isaiah and David Electric surpassed my expectations. After Isaiah completed the repair that was scheduled he reminded me that he still had a few minutes left as they charge by the hour, and he wanted us to get the full hour of services we paid for. He worked on a timer for one of our lights and then offered to and brought in our trash cans for us. Isaiah of David Electric was professional, friendly and thorough. He made great use of his time and completed the jobs in less time than expected. Scheduling the service was quick easily and the staff was very helpful. What I expected to be a larger and more expensive project was diagnosed and completed quickly and at a very reasonable rate.

Brian and Jose gave us the best experience with an electrician we have ever had. Great communication, showed up on time, expert advice about our LED recessed light locations, finished on time and on budget and carefully cleaned up when finished. Even helped us find the tripped gfi outlet to fix our outdoor outlets. Highly recommend!

This was our second time using this company and it won't be our last. Roseann and I are very happy with their professionalism, courtesy, and expertise. Show up on time and done right. The tech Isaiah was awesome. Not sure how their prices compare to others, but frankly I don't care. They are worth every penny.

I never knew any electricians until 2 months ago. And I have now used David Electric 3 times and each time have been very happy with the service. They work with you even beforehand to make sure the service is efficient once someone shows up. Max was the man and helped me through various challenges. USE THESE GUYS FOR SURE! Adam came to our house early, and quickly determined how to fix our issues. We coud not tell which switch did what. New switches are in and working great. Adam also put new wiring in in so our dryer works with a 4 prong plug. I recommend David Electric for any electric work, as we have used them many times.

I have used DAVID Electric on several occasions, and they always exceed my expectations. Most recently, I had a ceiling fan with light installed in a room that previously didn’t have any existing light fixture, and a porch light replaced. Juan and Billy have done work at my home separately, and they were on time, friendly, and professional. Today, Billy gave me some tips on what qualities to look for in items I will eventually have DAVID Electric install. Highly recommend to anyone, commercial or residential!

Isiah came and replaced our light switch. The work was done efficiently and quickly. He was very willing to answer our questions, and he was patient with our concerns. We will definitely call David Electric in the future for any electrical work we will need done.

Isaiah came out today fifteen minutes early and hit the ground running. Isaiah would make a great detective; diagnosed the issue quickly and finished with the job in under an hour. I was impressed with the level of professionalism and courteousness from scheduling to service. I highly recommend David electric and specifically Isaiah.

We've consistently gotten good, professional service from David Electric--BUT:

1. Recently, we ascheduled a 10:00 a.m. arrival. At 11:25 I called the office wondering if I had the date wrong, because they're supposed to let you know if they're on the way or running late.

They apologized for not contacting me. The electrician had unforeseen complications at the previous job. He finally called and then came 2 1/2 hour late.

2. I needed a simple switch replaced, for which he had to go to Lowe's. Why aren't basic supplies and parts kept on each truck? Luckily we're very near Lowe's. That would often be a 20-minute drive, which would cost about $100. You'd think a professional electrician would be ready with standard switches, receptacles, etc.

3. They charge 4% for credit card payments. With card payments being almost universal these days, how many businesses do that?

4. I was given no paper invoice nor receipt, but told they would be emailed to me in a few days. Again, how many businesses take payment without presentation of any invoice or receipt, paper or virtual?

I'll go elsewhere next time.

Excellent service!! I called a competitor several days earlier and received a quote for over $5,700. The other company spent over 2.5 hours at my house and never made a final conclusion. Today, Adam, who was knowledgeable and friendly, made his conclusion within 20-30 minutes. The final cost....$145! Thank you for your honesty! Happy to report - the problem is resolved! One thing I will note is the communication around the job needed being a seemingly uncomplicated installation (outlet within 5 feet of the breaker) of an outdoor weather-resistant outlet + covering. Be sure to seek clarification about the details regarding pricing and scope of work requested, even though free on-site estimates are not provided. Requested payment for service was paid in full but we had a big misunderstanding of the breakdown of the price. Time & Material under $1000 is the best avenue and the company recommendation. So do not agree on a set quote as it made the process complicated, especially requesting an itemized breakdown of the work/pricing (without any on-site estimate). Moral of the story: Quote did not align with Time and Material completed, then had been informed it was a price match after the fact.

I was so pleased by how quickly they responded to my need. Mary was such a pleasure to speak with and Isaiah was professional, knowledgeable and also a pleasure to work with. Thank you for providing a quality service...hard to find these days.

Made the call 2 days ago and Isaiah came Thursday. Needed some work done in the electrical box for newly arriving dishwasher. Power cord was frayed and very worn. Isaiah had it taken care of it within the hour. Answered some questions about my garage and was on his way. Given the proximity and the service will use again. Thank you David Electric and of course Isaiah.

Mary answered the phone and was knowledgeable and knew what we needed. She scheduled the onsite immediately. Isaiah was on time, called ahead, efficient, knowledgeable, great to work with, liked his ideas, and knew what needs to be done so our home is up to specs and funtionable.

Update - I called David Electric again for a stove hood to be uninstalled. Brad came out and was super nice and helpful. He also took the time to answer some other electrical questions I had for a future project. Y'all never disappoint!

This is our second time using David Electric, and both times have been great. Brad and Isiah were here today to fix our bath vanity light, which was installed incorrectly by our builder. They arrived right on time, assessed the situation and explained what was going on, went to grab supplies, got to work, and were in and out in about 2.5 hours after cleaning everything up. I was worried you'd be able to see the drywall gap or notice the light was moved, but it looks perfect! Greatly appreciate their work!

While it was a little difficult to get on the schedule on the schedule, because they're that good, David Electric ran all the electrical for our new remodel project, installed new outlets, & replaced lighting fixtures in record time. Max has done a couple of Projects for us this year including a little sleuthing To identify a bad GFI and replace it. Brian had an opening and was able to come a few days early. He arrived promptly and was clean, friendly and knew his job. He was able to find the problem of the circuit that wasn't working, a loose neutral wire on one of the outlets, and get that working again pretty quickly. Then he gave us two options for getting GFCI added to the baths and kitchen and let us know what the difference in pricing would be. I was very pleasantly surprised by the price and that we could get everything done with just one trip. I will definitely give them a call for more work as we remodel and upgrade this older home.

I have used David Electric twice now, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. The first job was small, involving replacing an outlet that was damaged. More recently, I was having a new heat pump and air handler installed, and the installers discovered serious electrical issues, requiring an electrician to repair the same day. Brian at David Electric was very responsive to my problem, speaking with me and the heat pump installers to fully understand the problem. Pictures were also sent to him, so he could prepare and bring over necessary equipment for the technician. The technician Billy arrived, and was very well informed, skilled, and efficient. He completed an entire exchange/upgrade of the electric breaker panel, and while I'm sure he would have rather been home in the evening, he completed the work efficiently, and with a very positive attitude. I am very thankful that they were able to complete this work in the same day, so my home could be restored to safety. I will only use this company in the future to complete electrical projects.

Always on time! I have had Max do several lighting and tan projects. He always explains the pros and cons of different options to install. The hourly rate is very reasonable. Would recommend to anyone needed electrician help!

Max was great! He quickly diagnosed the problem and explained what happened so I had a better understanding of why the issue occurred in the first place. We've used David Electric for two other projects, and I'm at the point now where I don't gather multiple estimates for anything electrical. There is only one company to call for your electrical needs and it's David Electric.

I got recessed lighting installed in my older broad ripple home. A lot of companies give ridiculous quotes for small jobs or refuse to work on older homes with plaster walls like mine, but David Electric was a nice change of pace. Billy was the technician who came out for the job. He arrived on time with the parts needed to complete the job, started work immediately, and competently and professionally did the job as described quickly. Highly recommended, five stars!

I hired David Electric to install a new panel, prep for a generator, and troubleshoot some circuits. The panel was replaced cleanly, generator hookup fully installed, and he even finished the lighting circuit I was working on. All in all the job cost about what we expected, did more than we expected, and came in lower than some other quotes.

I've had them out on two occasions, and I'm very pleased with their service. They installed 240v service panel in my detached garage, and buried the 50ft power line. They also installed new underground service to my house. No complaints. I'll call on them again. Recommended.

I used them many time and had no problem until this last time. STAND OVER YOUR TECHNICIAN TO MAKE SURE THEY WORK FAST. I have 2 light to be changed and a bedroom ceiling fan to be replaced. Also a wall socked to be mounted but was not on there order when he got here. He was a new guy and it took him over 2 hours to replace the bedroom ceiling fan before I told him it was ok to move on. Took less the 10 min to replace the dinning room light. Took him over an hour to replace a motion light because he had to leave to get a part God knows where when there was an Ace Hardware walking distance. He was gone 40min. He had to call to get help many times. He was suppose to be here at 9:30 but got here at 12 and at 5 another guy had to come and help. But guess I was stuck with paying $578.00. I call them to let them know how I felt and lets just say the owner was acting like a child so I told him I was going to my bank to see if I could get half of what I paid back. They docked the paperwork and the bank refused to help. By the way the ceiling fan cannot be used on high because he never get it leveled out and it rocks. Do not have a conversation with them because they will talk their time but you will have to pay. Stand over them so they can get it done. Will never use them again.

Max was knowledgeable and very helpful when it came to the unique needs of our older home. As we knock more projects off our to-do list I'll definitely be calling David Electric back and hope Max can come back out!

We had recessed lights installed in our main living space. Billy arrived on time and evaluated the room for the best lay out of the lights. He and his associate did an outstanding job installing the lights with the least invasive entry into our textured dry wall ceiling. All the work was completed with attention to detail from the install to clean up. I would highly recommend DAVID Electric.

I picked David Electric based on and recommendation and their reviews. Billy was on time, professional, and answered all questions as well as explained what he would do. He went in the attic, checked all the wiring of my whole house fan, went and got a new switch, new belt, installed and checked the unit function. Very pleased with the work and the cost. Getting a quote on updating my panel. I’ll call them again.

I found David Electric using Google as I usually do. I picked them because of all the good reviews and I absolutely see why they keep getting them! They are nice, professional and go above and beyond! One of the main things I needed repaired was the outlet to my dryer, not only is it fixed; but the electrician swept the mess I had behind the dryer AND cut down the dryer vent pipe so the dryer could be closer to the wall. He definitely did not have to do that, but that just shows the quality of service you’ll get from this company. I will definitely use David Electric for future electrical projects and will recommend them to anyone looking to get some electrical work done.

Had a great experience working with this group and wanted to share here. Had an issue on the Friday night of a holiday weekend (scorching hot light switch, burning plastic, shut off circuit to be safe). I submitted a ticket online that evening. By Saturday AM, they had reached out and two hours later there was a technician at our place. We were fortunate to work with Billy. He did an awesome job of quickly finding the problem, and getting some parts swapped out. He was patient and thorough, even taking time to teach us about what happened. I also appreciated his efficiency as our issue was fixed quickly. Price was very reasonable for an urgent visit. I'd recommend these folks to anyone in the area and I'd give Billy maximum kudos.

What a fantastic company! I needed to install recess lights in the kitchen, and, having no previous experience hiring an electrician, I found out that finding a good one is a challenge. I was lucky to find David Electric Service. The electrician (Jose) was highly professional and very pleasant personally; courteous and attentive. He did an excellent job in a very short time for such a project. I am sure this business does not need my recommendation - yet I recommend them for any project.

David Electric called me back late in the evening after I first put in a request for an estimate. After describing the problem they instantly suggested what I knew sounded like the right answer (and what our original home builder should have done years ago). Billy came out on time and fixed the burned out wiring as well as installing a light box and new light fixture about as fast as physically possible. They tell you up front about their hourly rates and by my experience finish very quickly to charge as little as possible. I would definitely hire them again.

I had 2 other electrical companies who were not responsive to our problem. The first company ( Frye Electric) could not work us in for 2 weeks. The second comoo pop any ( Mr Quick) scheduled an appointment and didn’t show and didn’t call. When I called them they decided, without speaking to me to reschedule my appoint in 6 days.
When I called David electric they had an electrician at my house in 30 minutes and he had everything fixed within an hour.
I have already scheduled more work them!

Something was tripping the breaker that controls the electricity to my old detached garage. Davids sent a serviceman named Billy to find and repair the problem. Billy had to track down the problem by tracing the wiring. This was not an easy task. My garage is over flowing with junk and the wiring has been pieced together by several different owners. Nevertheless, he found the problem and fixed it. This didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. I am so happy! I have lights and electricity again. Thank you Billy! Job well done.

Billy came out to install a few wall mount tv outlet and a few ceiling fans. He was knowledgeable, quick, respectful, and worked non stop. We had TVs installed the next day and they even commented how easy he had made their job. If I ever need more electrical work complete, I will definitely use David Electric again and request Billy.

We are installing a dishwasher in an older house (that's never had a dishwasher!) and needed to get the electric work set up for the dishwasher. We also wanted to add another outlet in our dining room to relocate our coffee bar. We were pleasantly surprised when they could come out in just a week (all contractor/trade services right now are SWAMPED!) and were super responsive, professional, and friendly. The work was done quickly, they explained what they planned to do, and we were pleasantly surprised at the cost coming in a bit less expensive than we anticipated. We have a big project planned later this summer and plan to use them again and would recommend them highly!

David Electric is great. I called them out got scheduled a few days later in the week to repair a few outlets in my house. Technician was knowledgeable and even taught me a few things as he was working. He wore a mask the entire time, and even vacuumed and wiped down the areas he worked in before he left. Highly recommend!

Billy came out to to install three new direct lines from the box to the upstairs bedrooms to run individual a/c units in the summer. It was no easy task going through both attics. His finished work is clean and well done, and despite hurtles he encountered he was positive and pleasant the whole time. He arrived, assessed the work with a smile, and got the job done for a good price.

Billy installed a fixture I had purchased and could not install myself. It was a very large fixture, nearly 20 pounds, and 12' in the air. I offered to give him a hand, but somehow he did all the work himself in an hour. We enjoyed some good conversations and he shared some knowledge. A great experience!

Our man Billy did an exceptional job adding a couple outlets & switching out light fixtures to fans. He of course did a great job in the electrical department, but also went above and beyond with tidying up his work space. He wore a mask & respectfully took off his shoes. And even was a saving grace with tips & tricks to help erase some marks the movers made on our walls. We love Billy the electrician!

I had a great experience with David Electric. I had an issue with the electric in my detached garage. A breaker was tripped along with a GFI outlet. Billy was my electrician and he had all of my issues fixed in under an hour. I really appreciated that he did not try to sell us all new wiring, plugs, etc. He was able to reuse what we had and get it working properly. Highly recommend this business.

We've had David's out to our house twice now and they've done great work both times. Our electrician has been super responsive to what we need done and he has worked quickly. We will definitely use them again.

We had a power outage in our master bedroom. We had someone else come out and they quoted us $2500 to run a new home wire. We thought that was too much contacted DAVID and holy cow. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it less time that than the first company and for way, way less. It wasn't even a home wire issue and the problem wasn't even in the same room! They did a wonderful job, explained everything very clear, and were over all outstanding. We had the tech Billy and he was fantastic. We will be using them again for all our electrical needs.

I was happy with the service. They were able to quickly address and remediate issues with my electrical. My anxiety had kicked in for an issue that was progressively getting worse and the crew at DAVID Electric were nothing but professional the entire time. Their prices were fair for the results.
While I hope to not have any future electrical issues, I’ll be giving DAVID Electric a call the next time I have a need.

David Electric has been out twice now to help me out. Both times the service was excellent and very professional. I was called both times about 20-30 minutes before the electrician showed up for service, and both times the electrician showed up within the time frame I was given upon scheduling the appointment.

Both jobs weren't incredibly 'difficult' jobs, but were things I was unable to do or didn't care to learn how to do. I was more comfortable having someone else come and take care of it for me.

There were recessed can lights in my bathroom and kitchen that would shut off when they became too hot, which was really frustrating when I was trying to cook and my light source went out. I was unsure if it was a simple swap of lights, or if there was electrical work to be done. Jose came and checked for me, and there was less work to be done that I thought, which was great! Jose replaced all of the terrible old lights with new, LED ones and now my home is extremely bright and energy efficient. Thanks, Jose!

I had a fan that had been replaced, but because it was on a dimmer switch it would flicker and was incredibly noisy! Billy came and fixed it, changing the dimmer for a regular switch, installing the remote, and my fan now runs with more power and completely silent. Thank you, Billy!

Short Answer: Worth the money, good value
Long Answer: First, Billy was in and out in 1 hour. He accomplished exactly what I asked. He was able to get out to my house within 2 days of calling David Electric. Billy was professional, kind and friendly. He answered all of my dumb and specific questions. He walked me through what he was doing and why he was doing it that way. I will try and use David Electric in the future if the need arises.

David Electric gave me a free quote and explained what was wrong and what needed to be fixed, Brian emailed my quotes. A week later the electrician came on time. David Electric really started outshining the other companies when they sent Billy, this young man at 8am in the morning greeted me with a smile. He was personable but very professional. He took the time to explain to me what needed to be done and what he was doing. I'm nosey so I asked questions and Billy always answered my questions with a smile. He was quick and left me with confidence that my problem was fully taken care of. I'm a senior lady on a budget, but with David Electric I paid a reasonable price for expert service. I would highly recommend them.

David Electric was wonderful to work with. We discovered our meter base and riser had been damaged, weather head and conduit pulled away from the house, and our power line was hanging inches away from our garage roof. We called them on a Friday night and they were able to have the work started Saturday morning. Cesar showed up first thing in the morning and worked all day to make the needed repairs and install our new equipment. He did an awesome job. The IPL guy even complemented his work saying it was some of the best and secure job he’s seen. Cesar was friendly and explained all of the improvements he made. Great experience with David’s Electrical. DJ wine responded to my inquiry with a phone call the very next day a d got me scheduled for about two weeks out. My tech was Billy, he was friendly, courteous, and even called to let me know ahead when he was on his way. Some companies will not do that so you’re just waiting during the arrival window, so
I appreciated this. When he arrived he got two ceiling fans, a chandelier and dimmer switches installed in a jiffy. Price was in the range quoted for the job. I’d work with them again.

Saturday is the single most busy day for our business... we had an electrical issue that was going to make getting through the day, much less the weekend, very difficult, if not impossible. I had some outlets acting a little funny, so I made an appointment. They were booked out for a little more than two weeks, but it didn’t seem urgent, so that was okay. Later that day, I noticed an outlet arcing and sparking anytime a load was placed on a nearby outlet. I called David back and explained what I found and asked if they could come out any sooner. About 24 hours later, the technician arrived. He was professional and courteous, isolated the problem, explained it to me, and repaired it. He then checked every nearby outlet. I couldn’t be happier. They were able to do the work in my Noblesville basement under 1 hour for about half of what other people were offering. The technician was efficient and kind and the job was done perfectly. David Electric was able to dispatch an electrician immediately when we woke up to no power on a Sunday morning. Billy was professional, knowledgeable, and hustled all day to complete our repairs which included a new weather head, mast, meter and electrical panel. Will use them again for any electrical needs.

I had an outage in my hall and guest bathroom. I thought it was the circuit but it was actually a faulty outlet that shut off that section of power. Jose came and found the issue almost immediately. Wow! These guys are good. I had the lights in my living room and kitchen go out. I thought it was a bad circuit breaker and almost tried to replace myself. Glad I didn't. Turns out it wasn't a breaker but a bad switch. Billy diagnosed quickly, replaced the switch and we had lights again in less than 30 minutes. Very punctual with every aspect during ongoing projects. Crews always show up on time and do excellent work. If we run into issues, they are immediately addressed and resolved within hours. David Electric can be counted on to get the job done! Bill was able to quickly fix an outlet that wasn't working and problem solve a motion detection light that was inoperable. He took the initiative to check an outlet in the garage noticing that it was wired to the garage door opener and motion detector light so if the outlet want working those items wouldn't work either. Now they are independent of each other. I also had David Electric wire a direct vent fireplace for me a few weeks ago and was pleased with the job.

We had them come out and install an outlet above our new microwave and install the microwave and they were very reasonable, timely, and professional. They beat the competition's price, Dowdy Electric, by over half! Dowdy quoted us for $760(!!) and David Electric ended up charging $315.

Was quoted $1500 to run electric out to a concrete slab where my hot tub will be installed. This is with me digging the trench to bury the wire. The quote's pricing was hard to believe so I wanted to gain a second opinion, and thankfully I did. The 2nd electrician truly believes DAVID electric either A) was trying to take advantage of someone who knows little about this line of work or B) didn't really want to do the job.

I will be going with the other company who quoted me at $475. Nice try DAVID. Always get a 2nd opinion before working with this company.

Great company. Kyle came to our home and installed a ceiling fan. He was very professional and the work was done well and quickly. The price was quite reasonable too.

We needed electrical work done in time for company coming. This was two days before July 4th. It would have been scheduled around the 9th of July and I was fine with that due to the short notice and Holiday this week. David Electric - who I picked because of their outstanding google ratings performed exceptionally well for us. They were able to squeeze us in on July 2nd; then Billy the technician called and arrived promptly, was courteous, professional and fast. He installed a dimmer switch for dining room chandelier, and a new GFCI plug in the bathroom. He then troubleshot and determined I needed a dedicated outdoor outlet for my electric smoker. They gave a quote for this which was very reasonable and Billy stayed and completed it that evening. David Electric far exceeded my expectations!

The wiring in one of our light switches was randomly sparking. They were able to set us up with an appointment within a week. Billy P. was the technician who came out to the house. He was friendly, considerate, and patient. He not only explained what was wrong, but also explained how it went wrong and how he was going to fix it.

I have other electric projects I would like completed and will certainly utilize their services in the future.

We called David electric to troubleshoot and repair an issue we were having with an outlet. I was charged $135 and I was not given an estimate for the work that they said needed to be done. Not only that, the technician did not attempt to remove the bad breaker. As we found out after calling in another professional, that bad breaker was compromising our entire panel and should never have been left in place by someone who knew what they were doing. The breaker we needed was one google search away. The work that could have been done by any licensed electrician to make the panel safer wasn’t done, or even diagnosed as a potential safety issue.

So... don't let your ex do electrical work in your house, no matter what they say about their skills.  I went down to the basement on Thursday, 1/2/2020, to do some Spring cleaning/purging (yes, in the winter) and was gonna swap out the Wii for a Roku since I planned to never Wii bowl again. I reached behind the tv console to unplug the Wii and as soon as I pulled the plug out, the socket sparked and all of the lights in the basement went out. Its like 5:30pm so I'm sitting there in the pitch black. I grab a flashlight, move the tv and the console and see an outlet with no faceplate and isn't even screwed into the housing. Its not even flush with the wall... its like 1/4 inch behind the drywall. So, I freak out because I don't mess with electric and I am now convinced my house is going to explode and everyone will see my clutter blown all over Broad Ripple.

I start researching electricians near me and find a couple with good reviews. I call the first one and I end up talking to some guy in a call center who knows jack about electricity and tells me they can't send anyone to help me until the 7th unless my furnace is out... but that effer is still running so, crap. On to #2.

I call David Electric and get a guy named Brian who sounded like he would have answered the phone even if I had called at 2am. I explain to him what happened, tell him I don't do electric and he giggles at me. Love him already. He says it would be crazy expensive to have someone come out right then because it was after hours and that it wasn't necessary. He made sure that my breaker had tripped and told me to leave it tripped if it made me feel safer. He asked me some general questions to make sure that I felt safe and understood what it could be and honestly, I felt SO much better. He knew his stuff, he put my fears to rest and I was no longer worried that my house would go up in flames. So, he scheduled my appointment for the very next day, between 4 and 5pm. He tells me the rate for the first hour is $134 + materials (if there are any) and I think he said it was $66 for each additional hour... don't quote me on that. All is well now and my appointment is set so I leave the creepy basement and finish out my night.

The next morning, around 7:15am, I received a text from Brian asking if they could bump my appointment up to the first appointment (at 8am) rather than the last appointment. I was already at work so I said I'd check with my boss and get back to him. Boss man said it was fine for me to head out so I let Brian know and head home. Billy showed up right on time. He came in, checked the outlet, walked me through everything and told me what he thought happened. He said the hot wire had just touched the side of the metal housing when I unplugged the Wii and showed me the little black mark on the side of the housing. So, he fixed the outlet, moved it up so it was flush with the wall, secured it, and put the plate back on. He flipped the breaker, checked the outlet and everything was good to go.

We get down to the dirty part... the payment. Low and behold, my fee was $134. He explains that if I use my debit card, there will be a 5% fee which was fine because I have no clue where my checkbook is. My total came to $139.05. Billy was nice and polite and quick and efficient and he never once spoke to me like an idiot for not knowing how anything electric works. PLUS he gave me these really cool David Electric pens and got me out of work for a couple hours so I couldn't be happier with him and the company. I have several other electrical type things that I want to have done around my house and I will be calling David Electric for all of it. Highly recommend them.

From start to finish, David Electric's professional knowledge and the customer friendly manner in which we were treated was extraordinary. The technician showed up on time and on purpose! Very satisfied and recommend highly!

Used this service to install ceiling lights and rewire several circuits/switches that were previously done improperly. The first issued came about when a follow up visit we had scheduled the tech did not show up due to a scheduling error. They did rectify this by waiving the first hour of work. While the work looks to have been done effectively part of our wainscoting was damaged by the tech. My wife had to bring it up to the tech for him to admit he damaged it. The gentlemen I talked on the phone with debated the legitimacy of our claim and continually stated they do not make repairs even if they damage your property. Upon further inspection we noticed several scuff marks on our walls near the switches and insulation strewn about our closet where the attic access is located when the tech went to work on wires in the attic. The tech had told me wife he was going to clean it up. The last two issues we did not bring to the attention of customer service as we understood the company was not going to repair or reimburse for the damaged wainscoting.

Just had a technician named Josh come out today. What great professionalism!!! He listen to my issues and addressed all of my concerns at a reasonable price. I highly recommend David Electric to all my friends and anyone looking for quality, caring, and personable electricians.

If you live in the Indy Metro area or the Suburbs and need an electrician, DO NOT call anyone else but these guys. My subcontractor wiring company, when I built the house, refused to take on the job cos they are getting fed by the big builders and had no time. Needless to say, pathetic.

I’ve had a short circuit issue in the master bath which kept tripping the breaker. These guys showed up on time, spent about 5 hours, trying to duplicate the issue but couldn’t find anything. The owner himself showed up to assist his technician which is something to say about their commitment to their customers. They offered to come back again and do more tests if the problem returns. Great group of gentlemen and professionals. Once again, highly recommended.

David is the man. His crew really came through in a pinch last August when there was a big storm in Broad Ripple, they stayed past midnight replacing our weatherhead. A few minor concerns were addressed promptly. He even came back months after the fact to correct the fusebox cover panel, responded immediately and insisted on doing it free of charge. A really friendly, professional guy. Just a class act all around!

They were a bit late ( they said mid-morning and came around 1pm). However, when they guy got here they found out the issue with my light fixture. They order the part for me a will install it when it come ps in and when they have an appointment. Look for my next review when they install.

Must not want new business. Called and asked about service. Guy that answered said their minimum just to show up is $430. Told him the scenario and that it could be something minor and he said it didn’t matter. $430 minimum no matter what it could be.
