Was quoted about $300 as the outside faucet would need to be cutoff, a new one installed, etc. and it would take an hour or two. It took 10 minutes (with the installation of a new faucet). I certainly think payment for a service call is justified and payment for work is justified, however due to the extreme ease of the project and 10 min completion time, perhaps some consideration towards the total bill might have been considered.I need to have replaced 6 bathroom faucets and two sets of shower hardware. I've had both George Brazil and Parker and Sons come out and give me a quote..both came in between $5000-$5500 if I also bought a $800 service plan from them. Both of those companies seemed to be mostly interested in a initial strong upsell on anything you might want, so when I saw a Bumblebee Truck in the neighborhood I called them. I don't mind paying a fair and professional price for quality work, as a matter of fact I would prefer to, its just hard to find companies you can trust so that during an installation period if something comes up that the contractor didn't realize... and it will cost an additional $$$ you need to feel trust and confidence that your being fairly described the situation, and the opposite is also true.. if the job called for 8 hours and its gets done in 2 due to something being better than expected, then the repair cost should be lowered also.
