I was really impressed with Mike's service. He was respectful, courteous and efficient. He wore a mask and booties in our house cleaning up like he was working at his own home. I would recommend the annual service agreement to all homeowners, friends and family. Not often a give an A+ to home services but these guys earned it all and then some.

Fantastic, exceptional and professional service! I called around an hour ago and was greeted by a very kind and courteous customer service representative who told me a service technician would be calling within 15 min to setup a visit and the charge would be $69 whether there is anything wrong or not. The service technician Shane called me within 5 min and followed up with courteous informational calls to ensure that I knew I could utilize my home warranty to reimburse me.

Shane the service tech showed up within the hour to promptly check the usual things, the thermostat, the air filter and then he went up on the roof. He proceeded to drain the unit and clean the coils, performing the regular maintenance to the air conditioning unit. After a thorough inspection and fine tuning, he said that my air compressor shut off due to overheating. He proceeded to recheck his work and thereupon go check my split unit in the garage which has the air filter to see if there were any points that would cause it to overheat.

He replied that he has seen this before, but if it happens again to call them and he would surmise that it would be the compressor that's the culprit. I asked him what regular maintenance intervals does he recommend and he said they usually come out and check the unit in the Spring, just before the Summer, and in the Fall, just before the Winter. But for my Split System, he'd only recommend once a year due to the unit on the roof not operating at all during the Winter. Oh and it only cost me $89 for all that he did!! :D

The whole experience was a delight considering the uncomfortable prospects and I will definitely use them for regular maintenance, highly recommended them to friends, family and coworkers!

Our 2 new Trane systems were installed last week by the best 4 man crew. They respected our home, keep us informed about progress, answered all our questions, enjoyed working together and kept a very clean job site! I would highly recommend Howard Air for your AC needs. I recently purchased my first home. Needless to say me and my boyfriend are pretty clueless when it comes to maintenance so we purchased a home warranty plan. A few days ago our AC goes out (just as soon as we are starting to hit triple digits) so I put in a service call. First they referred me to some company where I left multiple messages for 24hrs and never spoke to anyone. I call my home warranty service back the next day to complain and they refer me to A Better PlaceLLC. I received a call from Scott (the owner) saying he would be out that day and he was at my home a few hours later. He's professional, confident, has a sincere friendly quality, knows what he's talking about and keeps it real. He's also friendly with pets :), my lil 4yr old french bulldog Bella was having the best time trying to distract him in anyway she could. After finding the issue with the AC he made a call in my favor to the warranty company that helped ensure that they cover the replacement part right away. He had the part readily available, and AC was back that night. From now on when I call my home warranty service I will only request A Better Place and should be TOP on the list. I also hired Scott to clean the coils of the air handler to help maintain the unit and have it working efficiently for the rest of the summer. He squeezed it into his schedule and returned the same week. This maintenance service is not covered by home warranty plans. The quote he gave me was the MOST REASONABLE PRICE OUT THERE, and you couldn't ask for any better service. A Better Place is truly the BEST PLACE. I highly recommend you CALL THEM FIRST. New built AC units installed by this company. Never hire them, installed duct work and system never worked correctly at all, in addition horrible service.
While AC tech that came in was awesome trying to fix original installers poor job, company manager and owners do not care and have no pride in what company delivers

The tech Joe Rivera and his R2D2 air duct cleaning equipment came out to a home I finished remodeling and did a duct cleaning and administered antimicrobacterial mist into the system along with air freshener. I can honestly say for the price and quality of the service I received I will be a loyal SMW customer. Just wondering at what point will I start receiving sweet SMW merchandise to rep lol.. (Hint Hint Scott haha)... The respect that the tech had in the home was outstanding and much appreciated. He was very good about explaining everything and let's not forget that he knocked out the service in about an hour!!! Thank you JoJo and the SMW Team for everything. Oh snap hold up, I almost forgot about the all star Jeff that came out and gave me a killer estimate of the duct cleaning and also explained the service to be preformed. I greatly look forward to using SMW in the future!!
