Wozzers! We came home from a 2 week vacation and 90% of my house located in North Scottsdale was flooded. I immediately contacted my home warranty company, who dispatched a plumbing company. Approximately, 5 minutes after the plumber arrived, he asked if could use the restroom. I was extremely shocked of the conversation I overheard, since the door was ajar.
I learned immediately that homeowners can’t necessarily trust plumbers to refer honest and reputable water damage professionals because the plumber is more focused on how much money they can make by placing a simple phone call. I was extremely curious if this was normal business practices for restoration companies, so I turned to the net immediately to gather more information while my husband started taking photos of the extent of damages with his cellphone. I called several water restoration companies and was amazed to find out that paying plumbers, roofers, hvac companies, etc. an average of $1000 to $2000 per valid lead is the norm.
When I contacted ASAP Restoration LLC, I immediately asked how much the referral fee would be on a loss of more than 8,500 square feet.
