His knowledge and skills made for a stress-free experience as he fit his work in around the work of the other tradespeople -- and he stepped up to help community members with some DIY tasks that proved more challenging than expected. We're hoping to work with him again on future projects.

I'm glad I called Bernie. It's become increasingly difficult to find a good, reasonable home repair person. I contacted about a half dozen vendors to repair rotted out wood and trim on my home. Some were referrals from reputable vendors like Lowe's and Home Depot. If by chance they did come out, they took notes, shook hands and said they would be in touch with an estimate. And that was the last I heard of them. Then I found Bernie. He's very pleasant, he listened, took notes, took pictures, and promptly sent a reasonable estimate. I accepted it. Then he did everything he said he was going to do with no bumps in the road. Along the way, I added some things to the original job. I was comfortable telling him to just add on to the original estimate because I could tell he cared about his work and would be fair. And he was. He was thorough, his workmanship was superior -- when two pieces of wood meet, well, he made sure there was no space between them. In fact, you can't really tell where they were spliced together. I was impressed. I offer him my highest recommendation.

I contacted Happy Home Services after the water heater in my home installed by PSNC stopped working. When I called the new Dominion gas company, I was sad to discover that they no longer serviced either appliances (fire logs or water heater) that I purchased from the previous PSNC. I was told that I would need to pay $100 for Dominion to light water heater before we realized that pilot light did not remain on and I was not able to call them back quickly by the time I realized there was still no hot water. The Dominion repairman was good but Dominion did not make me feel comfortable about purchasing a water heater from them that they would stand behind. I called Happy Home Service after to get a second opinion. The plumbing supervisor, Juan Lopez responded immediately and was professional, personable and direct as he diagnosed the problem, explained the details, and provided options for my defective water heater. Though the cost of purchasing my water heater from Happy Home was more than if Id had financed from Dominion, I chose Happy Home because I could pay with no interest in 12 months and because of the warranty and assurance that they stand behind their work and their products. I was also able to get my water heater installed faster. I don't mind paying for quality products and excellent service and that is what I got from Happy Home Services. Thank you Juan!

Called for emergency plumbing (busted pipe in the wall) and right off the bat Crystal was very human!!! Concerned and polite. Honest #1 said she'd call back and give me a time and that it maybe tomorrow before they could get to it. Called back in 2 hours and said Estebon would be here in 30 minutes. He was also very human and concerned. Took care of the problem right away! Gave me the upfront cost before he started. He was awesome. I thought the price was very reasonable too....considering it was the weekend. Very personable company, would highly recommend.
