The good: I called in the morning to have a gas port installed with a quick connect fitting. They arrived the same day and performed the work in a professional manner. The bad: they charged $800 for the work. I provided the quick disconnect fitting and union. They provided a few small pieces of pipe and a couple of fittings. No more than $75 worth of parts. They were on site for about 90 mins. They did quote the price in an advance. When I asked what was the labor rate, he said it is quoted by the job. If you deduct the parts, the labor rate was about $500 per hour for a plumber and his helper.. I was in a hurry to get the job done, so I agreed to he price, but I cannot recommend them. I felt abused by the outrageous price.

Baker Brothers was professional, punctual and competent at detecting and repairing our slab leak. They explained every step of the process, provided options with pros and cons and didn’t seem to mind all of our questions. I will definitively be calling again with any plumbing issues.

Beware of pricing since they charge by the hour! The lead tech (Kasey) stated at billing time that the repair took 1 hour and 5 minutes. Those 5 minutes cost an additional $160 on top of the $215 for the first hour. Additional Hours: 1 Man @ $110 and 1 Man @ $50. If it had been 15 - 20 minutes, I could stomach it...but 5 minutes?! Perhaps they needed to work 5 minutes faster. He said it was policy. My policy is to find other repair people if I feel that they do not reflect fair practices. I was a repeat customer. 20/20 hindsight, I should have blocked their exit so they would have to stay at my residence for the additional 55 minutes that I paid for. Would have made them late for next appointment and those down the line for that day. Trust your gut...I mentioned to my neighbor when they first arrived that I did not like the lead tech's attitude!

The work was done quickly and flawlessly. The price was good and the communication was excellent
