I hired Alex and his completely reliable and experienced Go-Rooter team months ago, to repair major spillovers from drain cycles of our basement clothes washer. Our DePaul area home was built around 1890, and Alex and his team needed to explore and excavate defects in its original underground works. Their underground rebuilding for my wife and me included damaged-pipes repairs, hydro jet use that disposed of large amounts of sand, bricks and other debris, rebuilding of the catch basin that extended from the laundry area to the home's outside and replacement of collapsed pipe lines, bricks and various surrounding support. As a first time and new landlord, i’m still learning the ropes everything from finding quality appliances to repair and maintenance people who can live up to their hype. I’m happy to say I found a plumber Kavana’s plumbing & heating.
One of my tenants notified me that they had a problem in the bathroom, after hiring 2 separate plumbers who could not fix the problem I found Kavana’s plumbing & heating online.
I gave them a call they said they can be there within the hour and they were.
After looking at the problem they explain to me how they was going to fix it and what the cost would be. I agreed with their price and he went straight to work, 45 minutes later the problem was fixed the tenant was happy and so was I.
The next time I have plumbing problems Kavana’s plumbing & heating Will be my first call.
If you have plumbing problems and need an expert plumber at a fair price make Kavana’s your first call you will be happy you did.

Took 45 minutes to install a dishwasher (plumbers on-site complained about being installers now) and they charged $196 up front. Bill came 2 months later for an additional $506 and shows over 2 hours of service. They did end up crediting $100 off but not satisfied with the overall experience. I would recommend a more buttoned up establishment unless you want to overpay for quick service during Covid.

They do good work, but the amount they up charge is unbelievable. Here are their rates: $198 for the first hour; $89 for each 1/2 hour after. I was charged for 2 1/2 hours of labor.

I had a plumbing job at 7 am and he spent 20 mins figuring out the situation. The plumber says he needs to get the part. I have camera footage of him leaving at 7:23 am and he comes back at 9:03 am with the part. He takes 10 mins to complete the installation and he’s out of my house at 9:15. I don’t receive an invoice until 3 weeks later (they used to give it to you on the spot) and this plumber writes his time out as 9:30 am. He has the audacity to upcharge me another 1/2 hour when he already billed me while he was out of my house for over an hour and a half from 7:23 to 9:03 am.

*edit: they made things right and gave me a credit, but still don’t think the plumber should’ve done that to me
