Excellent service, tech very polite, did his job very well. The company had no problem with scheduling next business day; I had to cancel and then reschedule with no issues and they even called me back since there was a cancellation for a sooner service time.

Our old water heater was halfway out the door, so we called American Mechanical to the rescue. They responded promptly and sent their tech, Rich, that very day. Rich came on time, inspected our old unit and found, as expected, that one of the elements was as dead as Jacob Marley. We arranged with him for a top quality replacement unit that would fit the spot where the old one was, but better. He pointed out the wiring and pipe problems, which were never satisfactory and potentially unsafe, in addition to the fact that the old unit was really too short, so that it had to be placed on cider blocks.Rich returned the next morning as promised, even earlier than expected, disconnected the old unit, fixed the piping issues which had looked Frankensteinian, and cleanly installed the new unit, with everything fitting as it should, taking the time to explain exactly what he was doing and why all the way through the procedure. He tested everything to make sure it was working properly and cleaned up the area.The new unit may have been more expensive than we had expected, but we trusted American Mechanical to do the job right, and they certainly did. Rich was top notch and very professional. There is a reason we went with American Mechanical. They have earned our repeat business.
