Worse than 1 Star! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! They lie about the cost then cheat you. Here's the ugly detail. I had this guy (co-owner mind you) give me a quote (unfortunately not in writing) to inspect my work have it cleared for the city ($200). So I did the work, he came by and looked at it (10 minutes), went to the city and pulled a permit. everything was fine until he sent me a bill for $500!!! he said it took him 2.5 hours to drive 7 miles to city hall and another 1.5 hours for the work THAT I DID!. I told him that was dishonest. He said he had to charge someone for his time. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!! They are liars and cheats.

5/3 - EDITED, Update below original review.I really can't understand how a company that charges twice the going rate for a service can get such good reviews on here. Yes, they do good work and they show up promptly, but I was charged over $1700 for a gas water heater replacement, and the going rate is between $600 and $800. The worst part was, I knew I was being ripped off, and even told the technician his quote was ridiculously high, but because I'm a military wife with young children and my husband is currently away, I didn't have enough time or resources to be able to find another plumber before the weekend started, and I had to go with their insanely priced estimate. I had warning bells going from the minute they told me they would charge me $65 for the diagnostic (though I already knew what was wrong, just wasn't about to tackle that complicated of a job myself). But because someone had recommended them and their google reviews were good, I proceeded with the service call. And, despite the fact that my military base stickers are on my car, which the technician saw, he certainly didn't mention their military discount when he ran the numbers. If you're in an emergency situation and willing to pay more than twice the rate you'd otherwise pay for a decently-done job, go ahead and call them - but I will NEVER AGAIN do so. Lesson learned.UPDATE: The owner, Jim Steinle, contacted me and expressed deep concern over my experience. This company is absolutely on point when it comes to their customer service; I wasn't happy, and he made it right by listening to my concerns as well as refunding my account a significant amount to defray the cost that I had paid. Very impressed by their commitment to stand by their guarantee of 100% customer satisfaction. Again, their work was solid, their technician polite and on time, and the work completed in a timely fashion.

Called in the morning and Raymond was able to come by mid-afternoon. Found the problem right away and fixed it on the spot. Was reasonable and I would highly recommend him.

Edit: Repeat customer! Replacement of wax ring and resetting of a second toilet to fix a sneaky leak was quickly and expertly done. Our tech, Brian, was professional and courteous, returning in deteriorating weather later the same day to repair a leak that was inconsistent in its presentation, and Tricia, in the office was so understanding and delightful. Service was very reasonably priced too. Wouldn't call anywhere for plumbing issues.

Analysis of, and repair/replacement of leaking toilet was accomplished in less than 48 hours. Our service tech, Ricky Rivers, was excellent! Professional, courteous, honest, efficient, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Will definitely request him for any future plumbing problems. Thanks for making a big task affordable and easily managed!

They reran my gas pipes from the meter to the furnace room and did a great job! Neat, professional, and just as important; on time. Highly recommended!

My gas water heater sprang a leak and started flooding my garage. Chris B. showed up and fixed it within minutes. He was also very professional and courteous, a real pleasure to work with. Even took the time to find that the part needed was under warranty while showing me some maintenance tricks to keep my system in better shape over the years. Well done Chris! Thank you!

Mr. Raymond Hedin was the best technician I’ve ever had! He explained to me what was wrong, the ends and outs of what could be wrong, and the fixes to each problem. He made sure to make it known that if the problem is not fixed and future issues arise, then it would be the other option. He gave me all the information I would need to know even for the future. He worked fast and was so polite. HE EVEN WORE SHOE COVERS WITHOUT BEING ASKED lol that’s a big deal for me and having a toddler and a baby! He made sure everything was running well before leaving, took all the pictures he needed, and made sure everything was completely good to go before exiting my home! If they are all like this…this business is top flight, top tier, top of the line! Absolutely Thanking God for Mr. Raymond! Thank you American Mechanical!
