Called smelly Mels when I had water leaking from my ceiling Doug the technician arrived with a great attitude and assured us we're didn't need to worry he covered our flooring and began to remove Sheetrock and discovered we had a hot water leak he was able to repair and get our water back on if I could give them a 10 star review I would thanks smelly Mels

I contacted J Drains based on the referral of a friend. I called and the voice mailbox was full, but within 20 minutes I received a call back from Jason, the owner. I walked him through my problem (sewer was backing up at the clean-out on the property line). He discussed several remedial strategies based on listening to my assessment, where his price estimate was better than competitors by several hundred dollars. He then also said based on where it is - sewer backed up to the street - you should contact the City [of San Jose], they will likely come out and deal with this for you for free. He was shocked that other plumbers I'd called *hadn't bothered to inform me of that option*. Jason was 100% right; I called the city, and they sent a truck out 20 minutes later and cleared the problem right up. Cost to me - $0 (included in my municipal taxes). I know where I'll be turning for my future plumbing needs and advice. Thank you, Jason & co.!
