I really really regretted hiring Ace Plumbing. I hired them to fix a code violation with my water heater. While I was able to get a guy to come out and do the work, albeit very slowly, the owner of Ace refused to get the permits necessary to do get the city's sign off. I called, I followed up, talked to their front desk and no one ever called me back. The guy that did the work said it was all up to the owner, his hands were tied. Apparently the owner couldn't be bothered, he was not even around much. After two months of trying to get the job completed and trying to get ACE to pull the permits and finish, I had to hire someone else that pulled permits and did the work within a week. I would not recommend them.

Genteel is an amazing company. Super prompt service, great communication from Max and the installers were fast and friendly. They replaced my water heater on a Sunday and didn't charge extra because of weekend work.

I've used these guys twice. They arrive as a team and are completely honest about what can be DIY. First was a free estimate / debugging, and we were able to solve it on our own. The second time we couldn't do it ourselves, and they came first thing in the morning. Note that the estimated arrival times were off by an hour, so just be patient and allocate the additional waiting time because it's worth it.
