Best Plumbing Job in San Francisco CA

Toani T helped us today by installing an airgap so that we could get up to code in order to have a new dishwasher installed in the near future.

Toani was very nice, knowledgable, and helpful and was great at explaining the process.

In the past, Works Plumbing has installed a water heater for us and that was a great experience too.

Have used O'Grady Plumbing several times -- always courteous, extremely professional, with good quality work.

Daniel showed up on time 9 a.m. Thursday, cleared out the tree roots that seem to be the cause of the clogged garage to street drain, and tested it afterward. The entire job was done in under an hour. Very professional. The job was done with 60 day service warranty (one service recall). My wife was very happy with the job performance.
The cost is high in my opinion at $365/hour. Daniel did tell my wife about the cost/hour upfront and the wife did agree to it. I am open to any correction on my perception on cost since I do not know current typical average rate. My prior data points were that these kind of jobs should be in the $100-150 range, and I am willing to pay up to $200.

I had to deal with a tough situation, in which my sewer lateral was shot and needed to get fixed per city requirements. Other companies quoted me really high prices in comparison to Smelly Mel's. So the value was good for the service that they provided. On top of that, their work was thorough. They came on time, they put out good street signs, they paid the deposit to the city, they were responsive to all my calls throughout the process, and they did a very fine job repaving the property line clean out, on top of that, they got the permit signed and completed because they had good communication with the city and the public works division. I was just really fortunate to have a friend who referred me to Smelly Mel's because other companies were trying to basically rip me off. Overall, Smelly Mel's was honest, effective, and they gave me a guarantee on the pipe that was installed. No complaints, and lots of good feeling to what they accomplished.
