We have a private well and septic and they were able to work on it, which, if you don’t know, not all plumbers will work on wells and septic. Alan was very friendly and professional. They were super quick getting the job done and showing up on time. They also gave me a military discount which was greatly appreciate it. I had noticed a miscellaneous leak coming from around my laundry tub for awhile. I finally decided it was about time to get it fixed. I called TJK Plumbing and they came out that same day! DJ and Kyle located the leak and also noticed a lot of corrosion on my 20+ year old laundry tub. After explaining everything they found, they fixed the leak and were also able to replace the laundry tub. About 2 weeks later I had another plumbing problem. I noticed orange stuff coming from my softener. I called TJK Plumbing again and they were able to get Brad out same day on the weekend. He saw right away that my softener had blown and was starting to leak resin. He was able to install a new one same day and made sure all my lines were clear. Everyone who I had out was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and clean. I will definitely be calling them for any future plumbing issues.

Our experience with Jake was great! He worked on both our kitchen and bathroom plumbing systems and went over and beyond by fixing the bath drain (in addition to the leaky faucet) and sprayer in the kitchen sink (in addition to fixing the kitchen piping). He also secured the wobbly sink in our bathroom--great attention to detail. Also, because he missed an appointment with us earlier in the week, he waived the trip charge for the subsequent appointment. That shows a lot of integrity. We are happy customers in East side Saint Paul.

My tub handle broke off at the valve and the tub could not be turned off, this meant it was time to turn off the main water line :( well, that did not fully work and water was still running. then, the darn handle broke completely off my main water line meaning no way to turn my water on or off and water stuck on.

We called and Roman was literally at the house in like 30 minutes. Sadly, we had to have the city shut off water and a few extra unexpected repairs. However, we will come out ahead and have a better setup from here on out so that is a huge win.

Roman is very professional, upfront, and honest about the prices discussed. Everything showed us along the way what was going on we could make an informed decision. Super easy-going and straight forward with communication and options. He will be coming back next week to help us with the rest of the repair. We are so grateful that the water is no longer ready. Furnace/AC fan making a little noise so we thought we would call and have Cities1 come out to check it out. WOW! I guess since its so hot out they decided they can up there truck charge. $149.95 truck charge plus a minimum 1 hour charge of 68.95. $218.98 just to have them show up. Unbelievable! I asked why the prices are so high the lady says its hot out! CAN YOU SAY GOUGE? Called around and found several places with waaayyyy better pricing! A guy from Cities 1 called me back to cancel the appointment because I complained about the prices! We have way too much business and don't need yours!

This company does not have discount prices. One half hour of work to replace a small section of 1/2 inch copper pipe at a T joint was $688. No one comes out for free, and no one gives a quote without seeing the issue, even if it is a very common problem. Not sure other firms are cheaper, but this was probably $800 an hour for labor, or more.

Waited two weeks for an estimator to come out only to get a voicemail one hour before the appointment saying that the company doesn’t work in multi family buildings. I came to St. Paul Pipeworks because they were recommended by a smaller plumber who only does single family, which I explained. Very unprofessional and disappointing service.

*Update for clarity: there is no special equipment required, the job is a PVC drain pipe replacement.

I had a plugged kitchen sink. They arrived on time and even before they did any work they told me the total cost would be $450. They removed the drain trap under the sink and then ran a snake through the pipe. It took a total of 10 minutes to do this. They unclogged the line but I thought $450 for 10 minutes of work was a bit ridiculous. I will never use them again or recommend them because of their inflated price. When I initially called and asked how much it would cost, I was told the trip charge was $59 and then there would be additional cost depending on what work needed to be done. It would have been nice to know upfront that for a simple drain clog the minimum price would be $450. I have never spent this much money before to unclog a drain. With previous people, I was billed after the work is complete because it depended how much time was spent on the project and what was involved.
