We had Roto-Rooter assist us with what turned out to be a frozen pipe. Overall, our experience was very good. The technician who diagnosed the frozen pipe issue (Jacob) explained why it occurred, where I could find the pipe for myself, and how I might go about insulating or fixing the pipe long-term. He solved the issue quickly, and explained every step he took in the process. He was a very good and professional technician.I had two minor issues which contributed to a 4-star review instead of a 5-star review. I had some issues with scheduling, where I would call to confirm my scheduled time and my reservation was not maintained in the system. This wasn't a big issue, but I did have to call multiple times over a 3 day period to make sure someone would actually arrive for my previously scheduled appointment. My other issue was a technician first arrived who did not have the proper tools to fix the pipe. He became frustrated and angry at the situation before leaving in a huff which left me in a similar state of mind.However, the technician Jacob made up for this early negative experience immediately and I feel comfortable leaving a good review overall for the Company. I will continue working with Roto-Rooters in the future.

After 3 days of trying every possible non-professional tactic to clear our kitchen sinks, I gave up. I called RR early afternoon on a Friday, a technician(Andrew) was out in an hour. He was very kind and pleasant and explained well what needed to be done. Our fully clogged pipe (somewhere in the depths of the walls) was cleared while I sat outside taking a phone call. I really can’t speak to the value compared with others since I was in a pinch, but I am thrilled to have things flowing again. Thanks, Andrew at RR.

The repair guy called early and said, Is now a good time? It was! (earlier than we'd booked) He was personable, professional, knew just what to do, and the shower is draining beautifully now. A delighted five stars.

Love this company have had them out in the past for a kitchen faucet & recently called about by backed up bathroom sink (colg inside the wall).Had an appointment scheduled for the next day at 10 am. Frank arrived exactly at 10am and had everything wrapped up within an hour or so. Really friendly guy. Very thorough & checked everything to make sure it running properly. Left everything clean & in order at a fair price. RTSR will remain my go to place for drain & plumbing projects. A lot of places pull your chain & BS you, not RTSR. In need of a new water heater and called Mike Justen as recommended.
He answered and said he'd get to me soon. I told him there was no hurry but he came as promised the next day right on time. He quickly dismantled and removed the old heater and professionally installed the new quality appliance.

John came out to my house in Edina several times to make sure we got all the correct information before starting the job. He was excellent to work with and very professional through every step of the process. We added a new master bathroom and replaced our old water heater with a new eternal tankless water heater. The work is great quality and John was willing to answer any questions we had along the way.
I have already recommended him to several friends looking to do renovations.

Waited two weeks for an estimator to come out only to get a voicemail one hour before the appointment saying that the company doesn’t work in multi family buildings. I came to St. Paul Pipeworks because they were recommended by a smaller plumber who only does single family, which I explained. Very unprofessional and disappointing service.

*Update for clarity: there is no special equipment required, the job is a PVC drain pipe replacement.

Hate hiring plumbers because they charge almost as much as a blood sucking attorney, but I didn't feel violated when this plumber billed me and finished the straight forward installation that would have taken me 10 times as long to do myself. So I would recomend them and call the company again if I had an issue.

I had a plugged kitchen sink. They arrived on time and even before they did any work they told me the total cost would be $450. They removed the drain trap under the sink and then ran a snake through the pipe. It took a total of 10 minutes to do this. They unclogged the line but I thought $450 for 10 minutes of work was a bit ridiculous. I will never use them again or recommend them because of their inflated price. When I initially called and asked how much it would cost, I was told the trip charge was $59 and then there would be additional cost depending on what work needed to be done. It would have been nice to know upfront that for a simple drain clog the minimum price would be $450. I have never spent this much money before to unclog a drain. With previous people, I was billed after the work is complete because it depended how much time was spent on the project and what was involved.
