Job 1: The 1st floor bathroom sink started clogging then leaking, resulting in secondary water damage on the basement ceiling below it. Chris advised us to cut behind the bathroom wall ourselves to save on costs. We took his advice and then he assessed the damage to determine our options and give us an estimate. For our chosen solution, he replaced the corroded pipes and took several steps to ensure proper installation, cut through the cast iron main stack and replaced it with PVC, removed two unused cleanouts that were protruding from the wall-- all within a few hours and with a positive attitude throughout (friendly, professional, cool composure). We have not had a problem since, and for the amount/type of work required, we found his pricing to be both affordable and within our budget.

Job 2: Some sociopath used electrical tape to connect two pipes together that had previously been frozen over and detached. For Chris, it was a simple, swift, and handsome repair job.

About 2 years ago I had these guys out to change the old pipes under the bathroom floor. After the work was done the toilet was still leaking granted a smaller amount but still leaking. When I called about it the basically caused me out. Blamed the problem on me. Because I did not let them replace the whole system costing me thousands of dollars. I jut had a guy out to terrace the toilet because it is loose on the bottom and leaking badly. This company broke the flange when putting the toilet down. Instead of fixing it use plummers putty to fill in and hold the bolt down. Then put 3 wax rings to cover up what they did. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE

Amazing! First the owner came out and used the camera on our downspouts to find our issue. he was great. Very informative, knowledgeable and laid out our options. he recommended some jetting for the lines and that worked and the 2 guys that were here Devin Twardy and Nic Bolestro were also just like the owner. GREAT! Very informative, listened to our concerns and explained everything plus the equipment they used was top notch and not over priced.
I would highly recommend this company. I had another company out before these guys and he charge much more for snaking and it did nothing to fix the problem. McVay plumbing really knows what they are doing!

Great experience from beginning to end! Mark was incredibly responsive and communicative and put us at ease right away. Not only did he and his partner work efficiently and fix our issue, his customer service was top notch and he was enjoyable to have in our home. HIGHLY recommend these guys! We had a gas leak at the meter and Brickhaas was one of the very few that even responded to our calls. The crew was polite and professional. Great group of guys! Got the job done and communicated with us every step of the process. I will be recommending them to everyone who needs repairs and will use them for all my future needs.

I have never been this disappointed in my entire life. We went to home depot for a new kitchen sink and we asked if they did the install. They pulled up Gillece and said a Tech would contact us. The next day Gillece called us to schedule an appointment. The day of the appointment customer service called me at 9:30 AM and said our tech was running late and that he would be at my house in the late afternoon. I said that was fine. I took the day off so it didn't really matter. It was 5:00 PM in the evening and still no Tech from Gillece. I called customer service and the lady apologized to me and said my appointment was showing canceled for some reason and again she apologized. I was highly frustrated but was understanding and said that was fine and tomorrow would work.Customer service called me and said the Tech was 30 minutes to an hour away. 2 and a half hours go by and no Tech yet. I call back and they do a GPS location on him and she told me he was within a few feet. Another 25 minutes go by and the tech shows up. He looked very overwhelmed and like he didn't even want to do the job. He was Very quite and was more worried with writing down the work order (Trust me we'll get to that part shortly). After him looking over the job (Old sink installed, New Faust and Garbage Disposal. ALL of which i bought. I had all the piping, etc.He takes about 15 minutes and gives us a $1500 work order amount!!! I laughed right at him and said no way your serious. He went to his truck. Called his boss and they lowered the price to $1300. I said absolutely not. No way im paying $1300 for that.He then told us this was a Full day of work. What!? My wife almost thought it was a scam or he was taking advantage of us. We said no thank you. So he left.I'm not a plumber but im having my bother in law help me since the price was absolutely ridiculous.Please be cautious of Gillece i never in my life felt like i was being taken advantage of and to be charged $1300 was insane. Never again will i be called Gillece and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I don't know how this company is not 5 stars. The Bigley family is synonymous with professionalism, fairness, and amazing service. I use Bigley Plumbing to service both my home and my 35,000 square foot commercial office building. No matter what the issue is, Bigley is there quickly, fixes the issue, is professional, and even with all that, affordable! There is no way there is another plumbing company in Pittsburgh that offers better service. Bigley plumbing is truly the best.

Tried to schedule a dye test and told “wrong color”.’ Why spend money advertising if you don’t want people’s business?

Bill and team took on our project of moving our laundry room from the basement up to the 2nd story and into our master bedrooms closet. Can't say enough good things about his work. He is very knowledgable, takes his time for accuracy, cleans worksite up when complete, good communicator, trustworthy, friendly, cares for your project like its his own. Would easily hire him again. Actually getting 2 more quotes for future projects. You wont regret using Bill Helmken plumbing.

Mark fixed the water heater at our house in beginning of winter on one of the coldest days of the year! He explained everything he was doing very well! I felt very confident in his work and was very impressed with his knowledge. Highly recommend!!

We used Pittsburgh Plumbing and Sewers last year for a number of projects including our kitchen renovation (moving plumbing lines and hvac plus full install), washer and dryer install and replacement of outdoor drains and fresh air vent. Chris who we worked with was very professional, honest and communicated with us throughout the whole project and completed our job a lot sooner than we expected. While we don’t want to go through home renovations again anytime soon, we would absolutely trust no one else. Highly recommended.

The staff worked very diligently and even came back after the job was done to fix something. However, for the amount that we paid for the entire job to be done, the overall quality really disappointed us. The cement that was put into the basement was very rough, and there didn't seem to be an effort to smooth it out to the existing cement.

They may or may not do good work. Personally I have never used them, will never, or refer them to anyone since they don't know how to clean up after themselves and take their garbage with them. I am a contractor & every place I go into that this company was in before me their garbage or specifically the old hot water tank is left behind for someone else to remove. That is completely unprofessional & lazy. Learn to take your trash!

Had them out a while back for a no heat problem . They told me that I had a cracked heat exchanger , and needed to replace the furnace immediately . Their quote was ridiculous . When I declined , he said he would red tag my furnace , and call the building inspector , and then I would have to leave my house until it was fixed . I asked him to show me where the crack was, but his camera conveniently died . I offered to go pick him up a battery. , but his takes “ special “ batteries. Told him to go kick rocks . Had another company come out , replace the thermocouple, and no more problems. And we looked at the heat exchanger with his camera . Couldn’t find anything . These guys are con men . Find someone with integrity to work on your home …
