Best Emergency Plumbing in Pittsburgh PA

I had a horrific experience, sewage backed up in my basement...tried for hours to clear it ourselves and failed. Called Stahl after hours and within 2 hours Cory was there. He explained things in terms that I'd understand and was able to fix our issue. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very personable. He didn't seem irritated that he was working at 11pm in sewage. He offered 2 services that may be beneficial in the future to avoid this issue from happening again, thoroughly explaining while not being pushy which I appreciated. The after hours cost was reasonable to me as well. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

Terrific mechanical company. This is a place that has a deep level of skill in ANSUL systems, gas lines, excavation, commercial HVAC and Ventilation. They can handle complex airflow solutions, filtration, zoning, design and installation. They have great tools, and can handle larger projects. I use them frequently for sheet metal work on my jobs.

First of all folks I'm not even from Pittsburgh, but we are visiting some friends in the area. Found the site and called when my friends toilet went all nasty. Not the thing to have happen when you have guests over for the week. My friend made the call and they showed up super fast. Tried to help contain the mess before it got way out of hand (OMG that was nasty- those people have iron stomachs for sure). These guys were so professional - and they did an awesome job. They ended up having to take the whole toilet up to get a diaper out of the toilet that swelled up half way down the pipe. They cleaned up the job (too bad she couldn't convince them to do the floors while they were there) and were super friendly and professional. This is honestly my first review. I figured a business that went that far out of their way was worth doing a review. Thank you Pittsburgh Plumbing!

WE WERE SELLING OUR HOME AND NEEDED OUR SEWER LINE REPLACED. I CALLED MCVAY AND MIKE CAME THE SAME DAY. I HAD ESTIMATE IN HAND BEFORE HE LEFT. I HAD A COMPETITOR COME AS WELL AND DIDN;T RECEIVE AN ESTIMATE FOR OVER 2 WEEKS. IT WAS ALSO ALMOST DOUBLE THE PRICE. THEY FINISHED THE JOB AND MY LAWN LOOKED BETTER AFTER THEY FINISHED WITH IT. VERY PROFESSIONAL EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. THEY KEPT ME INFORMED DURING THE WHOLE PROCESS. WHEN I CALLED THE OFFICE THEY WERE SO PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH. COULDN'T HAVE BEEN HAPPIER. THANK YOU ALL.

Update 2/8/23: I had Proudfoot come and install another tankless water heater at our new house. Painless process, they were done within a few days of my initial request. I highly recommend these guys to anyone in need of their services.

I have nothing but good things to say about Proudfoot. They replaced our old cast iron boiler with a combi-unit that acts as both boiler and on-demand water heater, and it works great. It's more efficient, saves money on gas, and provides unlimited hot water. They also fixed some long standing issues with our plumbing. The owner Hugh Williams was straightforward, knowledgeable and honest, and clearly took a lot of pride in doing the job right. Highly recommended! I will certainly be calling up Proudfoot for any plumbing or heating issues I encounter in the future.

We called for a hot water tank inspection as well as water hammering with our pipes. Tony was our tech and he was knowledgeable and helpful. He also showed us some things to look for when looking over our hot water tank and made some recommendations to think about. Overall happy with the service.

We have an old house with lots of repairs over the years. The guys at Jaros were responsive to our inspection request and helped us prioritize projects. When we discovered a damaged cast iron drain in a wall, they came out asap to replace it. Thanks guys.

I called around to a lot of places for quotes on a water heater replacement and these guys had the best rate by far. Dispatch was very pleasant to deal with, and Maryanne made sure I was on the schedule before the weekend so my daughter and I weren't without hot water until Monday. Brandon came out at the exact time dispatch said he would, and he was very polite and professional. He explained everything clearly and did not try to upsell me on a bunch of stuff I didn't need which is more than could be said about a lot of competitors. There were absolutely no hidden fees or up charges, I paid exactly what was quoted. Brandon even gave some advice on possible issues with my chimney and things to look out for on my PVM. From start to finish, I really don't think it could've gone better. I'll absolutely be calling them for future work.

Vince was a real life saver. City did some work on the water lines and in the process caused a blockage of my sewer line. Vince was there within a few hours and met with me and schedule the snaking for the next morning. He was able to diagnose with blockage and pin point where it was. He also reviewed the footage sent from the city and determined that it wasn’t even my house. His expertise allow me to go to the city with full confidence and have the issue resolved. All he charged me for was for the snaking and his creditable was essential in this process. Thank you Vince

This company was great. I had used Gillese and was totally ripped off. These guys came and redid the job perfectly. Their price is reasonable and the guys were nice and professional.
