My initial call for emergency service was good. They were helpful and curteous. Michael C. showed up was very professional. He performed all work on time and in a very quality manner. I wish I used them before. We will be using Parker & Sons again in the future. Thanks Michael.

I utilized Chas Roberts to replace my water heater less than two years ago. This morning, it was broken and I had no hot water. They came out to look at it and said the bottom was burned out and it would be a $229 repair. They made a big deal of saying they were giving me a discount. I asked about the warranty, as the unit was less than two years old. I received the response that it was parts only. I said that I thought it was ridiculous that a unit less than two years old would cost me anything to repair and I was asked if I wanted it fixed or not. Someone did finally call me back about this issue and told me that it was like a factor like water quality or something similar to cause the problem. The last water heater I had lasted 17 years, so I doubt that the water quality has gotten that drastically worse in the past two. He ended the conversation by saying I probably won't change your mind, but just in case, I will make a note to give you a $50 credit if you ever need a new air conditioner or plumbing product again. I can guarantee after that, I will never purchase another product or service from Chas Roberts. Awful customer service, and from what I can tell, terrible quality products. I would caution anyone against using Chas Roberts, to spare themselves the hassle of poor service and poor product.

We made the mistake of getting a service plan with a previous company Ace bought out, which was fine with the other company, but after the switch, only problems. Nothing but inconsistency in what was said about our unit once Ace took over. This last time, they found all kinds of problems. Said we needed a new unit now, but if we act fast, there's a deal that we could take advantage of. After going in the attic myself and doing some research, I felt uneasy about them (quote on base unit was way too high as well). Had another company come out and said everything was running good, just had an older unit. Probably need to replace in the next couple years, but might as well get every cent out of it. Nice to get an honest answer and not a money guzzler. If you feel uneasy about Ace, there's probably a reason. Do your homework before they dupe you into throwing thousands of dollars at the problem. I don't usually write reviews, but these two places were definitely worth reviewing. Don't make the same mistake we nearly did.
