I wanted to replace our guest house AC unit since the current one was over 10 years old and near its end of life. I was told it was leaking Freon and was just a matter of time before it would stop working. I had 4 different high rated HVAC contractors come out and provide quotes. Parker & Sons, George Brazil, Day & Night and Penguin Air. I contacted George Brazil on a Sunday via there web site. Their site was easy to navigate and submitting my request was simple and fast. The next day I received a call from their office confirming the appointment day and time I had requested. Dan Howell, Comfort Advisor for George Brazil called me when he was on his way. Dan arrived on time and quickly assessed my needs. Dan was professional, courteous and was absolutely a subject matter expert. Dan listened to my concerns and offered solutions. Dan finished his inspection quickly and followed up saying he would send me an email quote that day. I received the quote as promised and although his prices were competitive he was still on the higher end. I really liked dealing with Dan and wanted to have them install the new AC unit. I contacted Dan and let him know he was on the high side and he immediately agreed to price match the other contractors. Done Deal! I scheduled the install with Dan and agreed on a date and time. The installers arrived on time and finished the complete install about mid-day. When I got home that night I inspected the work and found it to be exceptional. The installers had to remove the framing around the attic access and they re-installed it, caulked and touched up. The attention to detail, cleanliness, professionalism, Dan was awesome from start to finish and provided a great price for the install. I look forward to having Dan and team replace the main house units next year.

I wish I would have went with another company. My AC unit in my background is on the floor with the hoses reaching from the wall of my house all the way around to the front of the unit (instead of hidden in the back). They left without my husband and I going into the backyard to see it. I called Penguin Air to get it rotated, they sent a guy out and all he did was take a picture of it and left. They never rotated it or even gave me a call about if they can do anything about it. Also, at the time of purchasing the AC unit I was told it was one price and I said let's do it then the technician kept adding additional items I needed on top of the original price. He told me, I need a new thermostat (I don't know why mine was working perfectly fine and was better looking than the one they replaced it with) and I had to pay more because they needed to cut the entrance to my attic to make it larger to fit the other part of the unit in there. It ended up costing me over $9,000. And, it's been about 3 months and the company they work with to fix the trim they cut from my attic still hasn't come it fix it. I just called again, to bug them about rotating my AC so that it looks normal with the hoses in the back and to ask what is going on with the guy to fix the trim of my attic they cut out and apparently they think it's okay to charge me over $400 for them to rotate my AC unit. I am not paying $400 because they installed my AC with the hoses going all the way around the unit making it look ugly. I just had the worst experience and now I'm stuck with them until my $9,200 loan gets paid off. I am not a happy customer.
