I was recommended this heating and plumbing company by a very skilled electrician I had previously hired to do some rewiring. I worked with Ryan and CJ who installed an indirect water heater as a second zone on my high efficiency boiler.The install was quick and tidy. We ran in to a difficult problem of intermittent banging which presented itself after all of the work was paid for (I paid half up front and half upon completion). The problem was difficult to diagnose because it would only happen every hour of so. Ryan and CJ were extremely patient and diligent as they came out to my residence 5 or 6 times to try and remedy the install. After replacing each part and though discussions with the manufacturers, eliminated the boiler and the water tank as culprits and zeroed in on a pump with a broken check valve. The folks at city plumbing are consummate professionals. I gladly recommend their work and their ability to stand by it.

I want to thank you all for great service, and for doing a fantastic job providing me with a new water meter pipeline. The staff here are super professional, courteous and thorough. I appreciate each and everyone of you Eric, Debbie, Rich and Joe. I'm so pleased with the work done, what a blessing and now I can have peace of mind that there's no more leaking pipes, no moist basement, no more bugs! AC wasn't cooling as much. Chris came out to perform a diagnosis after Sila had added more freon the week prior. Turns out Sila made it worse. The amount of freon in the system needs to be at factory specifications for it to perform maximally. Chris removed all the freon and added it back in slowly to titrate to factory specifications. That fixed the problem, and it cost less than the wrong but more expensive step Sila had charged for. Unlike Sila, he also was honest and didn't tell us we needed a new unit entirely (our current unit is only 8 years old!). Will use Veteran again for future maintenance/repair.

We have been struggling with a major air conditioning issue for weeks that no one was willing to help us fix/diagnose/triage. We called McLoughlin after being referred by a family-member and they responded right away. The specialist Rob spent a significant amount of time analyzing the situation and answering all our questions. He confirmed that the whole system had been installed incorrectly and that their were major issues (which we already suspected) but helped us come up with somegood solutions and set us up with an appointment with their engineer the next day. For the first time in weeks, I feel like we are finally “getting somewhere” and that we weren’t just being blown off. I can’t thank these guys enough.

What can I say?Thanks to Hughes Plumbing the house heating system is inoperable. They left a 71y/o Vietnam War Veteran who was later diagnosed with cancer without heat for the rest of the cold season.They were hired to repair a steam house heater, they said it was the piping that was wrong (same piping was there when we bought the house 5 years earlier), they “Repaired” the piping after we took out a loan to pay them several thousand dollars, heat worked for a while and then never came on again.Called almost every day practically begging for them to come check it out. Calls went ignored, any appointment I was able to make were no shows and the reality of them not caring was real.Mr. Hughes you really should do the right thing.I depended on you and your company to fix our problem, and now due to your negligence, my senior father and I have figure out how we will come up with at least 50K to fix the entire system because that’s what was quoted due to the extensive work that has to be done to correct what you and your company did.My father does not deserve this.

I was able to make an appointment for next day service for a thermostat replacement and unit tune-up. The technicians were extremely helpful and professional. They even provided helpful maintenance tips.

We have an 80+ year house with many issues. I had a disaster with a previous plumber, no names. John came in an in one afternoon, corrected all the problems left behind. They know there stuff.
