Reliable Plumbing & Drain Cleaning Plumber of Philadelphia Plumber
We wanted to go local with our service people - and thought this company would fit the bill.Unfortunately, they did not. They came to check a leak in our bathtub pipes, told us we needed a new part but that we could buy it ourselves at Lowe’s so they wouldn’t do it for us.We were charged a service fee for this. And did the work ourselves. We decided to give them one more try. They installed two new toilets for us ($900) - but one came with a chipped handle and while they promised to replace it, we’ve called 5 times and been promised an appointment for replacement on five different days over the past 5 weeks. (Three of those in the last week.)We still do not have a new handle. We asked that they put our nice toilet seat on the new toilet - and they did not. It is still sitting in our closet. They also did not install a new wax seal ring when they replaced the toilet so a sewage smell occurs everytime someone flushes.I wish I could say they lived up to their name, unfortunately, they have not. We will be calling a new company and dealing with the new charges.

Mount Airy Plumbing Plumber
Took da Boi 'Jamol' 3 days to install a faucet and Elbow Joint under the Kitchen Sink. Then overcharged us and initially quoted us $1000.00 for the service. Dishonest, inflated prices, and shotty workmanship. When you call and ask that a Supervisor come out and inspect the job and explain the overcharge they just have Ole Boi call back. I'd have given 0 Stars if it were an option.

Edward Hughes & Son, Inc. Plumber
I am incredibly satisfied with this company. When a leak started in our basement and we didn't know where it was coming from, we reached out. The initial contact (with what I'm assuming was an answering service) was a bit disconcerting but someone else reached out only a few hours later to set up a service appointment. The next morning, someone came out, immediately identified the problem, and sent out the next guy to fix it within a matter of hours. They forgot to replace the cap to the drain out on the sidewalk and someone came by the next day, even after they had already been paid, to remedy it. 10/10 would recommend- responsive, efficient, and show up when they say they will.

McClain Bros. Plumbing Plumber
I was recommended to use McClain Bros by Home Advisor to build a deck for me. It was a huge mistake. They are ignorant of Philadelphia building code, dishonest, careless in their work, and cost me $3000 for no deck.Rich C. (their Project Manager) came to my house and told me that permits would be hard to get but we could go ahead right away because of connections he had at L&I (a guy named Barry)They asked for half up front. (Red flag.)They provided an estimate with no itemization (Red flag.)They showed up in a plumbing truck despite claiming to be a construction outfit (Red flag.)They got off to a bad start when their master craftsman Walt poured a concrete footing in the wrong place. Sort of thing a tape measure usually helps you avoid.Though I'd been assured they were making the deck to code, L&I was called. (Barry was nowhere to be found.) L&I shut the project down. It stalled for 5 weeks. I had to chase Rich C. and Mark the owner for answers. It was a disaster. I feel they were less than honest and the result is that I got half my deposit back. Every aspect of dealing with them was unprofessional and I think you should probably avoid them if you can.
