Best Sump Pump Installation in Philadelphia PA

First off let me say that I never write bad reviews unless truly deserving. As a matter of fact, this is the first one I've every written, however, I thought that this was obscene enough to warrant my time and yours.I am in the process of replacing the deck boards on my deck and while they are taken off and there is easy access to the PVC pipes leading to my outside faucet (which never worked), I figured this is the right time to address it. I immediately could see a break in the PVC piping. I've never done any plumbing before so I started making some phone calls to the local plumbers. I started with Precision Plus Plumbing. I left a message and they immediately called me back saying someone could come out the same day and also do the work. Great, I thought. So I waited for the plumber to get to my house. He arrived on time and was a nice guy. So far, so good. So I showed him the issue and he said, yes you need 2 end caps put on the broken PVC piping. I said OK, how much will that cost. he said $146 for each end cap. You know the little plastic end pieces that cost about 50 cents. I said, WOW that is a lot and he said I don't want to pressure you. You seem like a handy guy, you could probably do it yourself. I wanted it done quickly so I said, just do it so I could continue with my project. So he put the 2 end caps on in 5 minutes! I turned the water on from the inside shutoff and we realized that there were several additional breaks in the PVC piping. He said, let me get you a price for replacing the 15 feet of 1/2 inch PVC piping. He came back with $750!!!! I said, excuse me, did you say $750? He said yes. It's not as easy as you may thing to replace. I said I own my own painting company and that is like 2 days of labor for my company so unless this 15 feet of PVC pipe is going to take a day and a half, forget about doing the job. He said OK, do you want me to take the 2 end caps back off and you can do everything yourself? I said yes!!! Oh, I forgot to mention that there is a $59 fee for them to just come out to the house even if they don't do the project!!So I said to myself, how hard can it be so I setup to the local home depot and bought $50 worth of parts (probably $15 more than what I should have but I bought extra in case I made a mistake). I cam back to the house and within 1 hour had everything replaced. I waited 2 hours and turned the water on from the inside shutoff and shazam, it works.Now it took me, someone who has never done a day of plumbing in his life, $50 and 1 hour of time and this company was going to charge me $750, Plus the end caps that I didn't need anyway.Now I know why they charge the $59 fee. They get to the house and pressure people into doing it, thinking, well I've already spent the $59 and that will go toward the repair. The company then charges a ridiculous rate, hoping to get suckers to say yes and if they say no, at least they made $59 for 5 minutes of being there.Crazy, crazy, crazy!!! Well I will thank Precision Plus Plumbing for allowing me to be so mad that I actually learned how to do some plumbing on my own.

I called all around and mike from best price plumbing . was the only plumber I could get on the phone on a Friday. he came right out and investigated my emergency and put a sound test on my pipe outside and determined that it was a broken lead water service. that he was going to need to get a permit for my job.I told him I can not wait because I have a baby in the house. he then r knocked on my Nabor’s door and ran a hose from my house to the neighbors and boom ?!! He got me water he came back with the permit a few later and got the job done neat and clean me and my family are very impressed with mike and his guys are top notch plumbers highly recommend to anyone in need of a good honest plumber

They sent us a very nasty service man. They broke the coffee mug, did not put the bedside table, the cable box, and the TV back where it was belong. They threw stuff everywhere and did not pick up the trash and the mess they made. They asked for 90$ cash via the phone, now he asked for $125 after 5 minutes to fix my drain; of course, I dont have 125$ cash, so I gave him a check. He yelled at me and took my TV. I called 911, he threw the TV back on the floor and walked away with my check. Dont ever use their service. They dont know how to treat customers, they treat us like we are dog and beg for their services . I am very upset. Minh

He has been nothing but professional, always prompt in his response, never needed call backs - a fabulous plumber.

I was told this is a reputable company. Nowadays it seems, as with all other companies, it has gone down the drain. No one cares any more about doing their job right and leaving a customer satisfied. A company who takes pride in their work and who wants someone to come back to their business over and over again because their work is just that good. You do not get that with this company. Due to the inadequacies with the first visit, a second visit was required to come and finish the job. The prices are ridiculous, the workload, later in day, is rigged just to get out the door and call it a day. They even walk away with your plunger! Never again, lesson learned. 8/7: Update to my initial review. I just used for the first time the new water valve they replaced in the backyard where my hose is connected. The water pours directly out from the wall, great job guys! Maybe you should be less concerned about the reviews for your company and more concerned about the quality of your work. You heard right, they made a special trip to our home, after my initial review, to question my elderly Mother about my review. Another thing I need to replace after this company did the initial job!

I'm really pleased with my experience using Joseph's Affordable Plumbing & Heating, and I recommend giving them a call if you need help. I was able to get next-day, weekend service for a reasonable price.For starters, I had a plumbing issue on Saturday morning, and Joseph was able to get a plumber, Bob Clarke, out to me on Sunday afternoon. I had called two other well-reviewed, local plumbers and they could not get someone out to me until Monday or Tuesday (totally reasonable). But next-day service on a Sunday? That is unexpected ...and it meant that I didn't have to take time off work.Bob did an outstanding job, friendly, and was respectful of my home.I needed my garbage disposal put back in place, or replaced if possible. I needed a new trap installed underneath it. And I also needed new shutoff valves, as the old ones would not turn. And finally, I wanted to be sure that nothing was leaking.I have an older, two-basin sink where the disposal is connected to a small basin located in the rear corner of the sink. I also happened to have a new garbage disposal on-hand, a 3/4 HP model with noise insulation around it. Replacing the stinky old disposal with the new one was challenging, as the space to maneuver was tight, and there was no way to see the connection (the old sink probably wasn't designed with one of these big, chunky noise-insulated disposals in mind). The bottom of the cabinet is in really sad shape, too, from past leaks and neglect, so the conditions were far from perfect. Bob got the job done, though, with humor and goodwill. He took care of the valves and new trap in no time, and shined up the older copper pipes too. And he checked to be sure that there were no leaks.I hope that I don't need a plumber again anytime in my life, but if I do, I will call Joseph and ask for Bob Clarke.

My family and I were without hot water for about a week because of water damage to our almost new 50 gallon tank. Mr. Rooter's staff was able to install a tankless water heater for a fair price (same ball park as two companies, and substantially less than the 4th).Curt and Tyler were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to restore our hot water.While other companies quoted this as a multiple day job, Mr. Rooter's staff got the project done in about 6 hours, which was fantastic! The total team of four members helped throughout the process of removing and installing.I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter for their plumbing services, even if you're unsure- allow them the opportunity to quote the job, and earn your business.. you will not be disappointed! We got the work done in April, but I waited a bit to make sure it worked as well as I'd hoped... tankless water heaters are worth the extra money.

I used this company to unclog a clogged washer drain.Mike was the technician who helped me. He was respectful, professional and skillful. He gets 10 stars!The reason I am giving 3 ⭐️ is the very unprofessional and disrespectful customer service. They were supposed to show up at 9:00AM. No one showed up until 1:00 PM. No one contacted me about the delay. I was waiting for 4 hours. I called the office around 11:00 AM and was told by the receptionist lady that I should expect them soon! I called again at 12:20. This time she was rude, screaming on the phone, calling me selfish and “too much” because how I thought I was more important than people who had a plumbing emergency!!!! I was like…lady my appointment was at 9:00 AM?!! She screamed for 3-4 minutes! One of the worst customer services that I had dealt with! My feedback to the owner is that she will bring down your business! No one will and should tolerate dealing with a rude receptionist like her!
