We have called Albert Nahman Plumbing and Heating on two occasions. Both times they were the only ones who were able to schedule an appointment quickly which is why we used them. The first time we called about our gas fireplace which wasn't working. The man who came to fix it was very rude and demeaning. He made me feel like an idiot for not being able to fix it myself and charged over $100 for 5 minutes of work. Took him longer to write up the bill than the repair itself.The second time our water heater was not working. We had already relit the pilot so we knew it would light. The technician first told us it wouldn't light- he clearly hadn't tried as the directions tell you to hold it down for 5 minutes, and he said it wouldn't light after 5 seconds. We asked him to try again, since we had just lit it, and he was able to, but would have been quick to sell us the incorrect diagnosis. Then, he told us there were 2 possible problems, but he couldn't be sure either would fix it. Each repair was estimated at over $600 ($1200+ total). The water heater was about $500 new so this seemed crazy. He also said it would take a week to get the parts (too long to not have hot water). We asked about replacing the water heater. He suggested a $2400 heater (including installation) and said it would be better because it had a 5 year warranty. Our original (much cheaper) water heater had a 6 year warranty. I asked about anything with a longer warranty. He mentioned a $3000 heater. He was very nice but clearly programmed to upsell expensive work/ products.While he was there I asked if he could look at a small problem we were having with the sink. It's happened before and required taking apart the input lines and cleaning them out. Takes less than an hour. He quoted $238 for the job.We declined all the work.I bought a new heater at home depot for ~$600 with a six year warranty and had it installed and the sink fixed by my contractor for $200 total. I could have spent a little more and gotten a 9 or 12 year warranty for under $1000. The company is good at getting there fast and the woman on the phone was very nice, but they are hoping to take advantage of people financially. If you care about price at all, don't use them.

I've been lucky enough to have Sean handle my apartments plumbing issues for several years now. He is not only pleasant but responsive, easy to communicate with and his work is excellent and thorough.

Around 2010 they donated a tankless Noritz water heater to the Redwood Heights Elementary School auction and we bought it. He replaced our water main for a reasonable price and installed the heater in our basement near the shower, freeing up space in the garage. Relocating the washer & dryer in 2013 we built a 1/2 bath there in the garage! The unit has worked well for 12 years, and now we are getting it checked for the first time. I recommend Ray Lacayo and Lacayo-Colt pluming.

We have only one bathroom and our bathtub was stopped up. Mr. Rooter’s representative Lance was able to come the same day in the evening and flush it out where it was better then it has been for years! My family and I are very happy with their service. Lance was wearing a mask, covered his shoes and hands and I felt safe during the shelter in place period. Fully recommend Mr. Rooter!

Natalie is amazing! This is the second time we have used her at our business and just like the first time she came the same day and handled business in a short amount of time. I used Marvin to install a water shut off valve for my dishwasher. I also had him look at my dishwasher because it would leak when draining. He fixed the the hose and now I do not have to buy a new dishwasher. Thanks Marvin for the fast and friendly response. I will use him in the future for other projects.

I just think it's great that I can finally call a plumber and not have to worry about the how when you get down to the basics. Plumbing Heroes: Alameda came to my house and had the job done in less than a few hours! It was great talking to them and they were very professional. Service level is great. They stick with an issue until they have figured out how to resolve it. They can service boilers which is a rare find.
