The best ever service on my steam heating system. David explained everything and spent ages getting the job done right. Now I feel secure for the winter!

From 8pm to midnight this company fixed a leaky pipe. Wow was a lot of work. They got it done right. Had all the tools and parts available. Best thing is there price was more than reasonable. Book them!

When a storm caused my basement to flood, I was in a critical situation. The current sump pump stopped functioning. I started manually bailing the water and called the plumbing company, which I had previously used. When the technician Harold arrived that afternoon, the manager Roy was able to arrange an appointment. Last time, Harold was in this area. He set up a pump and started pumping the water out with great professionalism. He installed a new, significantly more potent pump to replace the malfunctioning one. By late afternoon, the basement had been as thoroughly pumped out as it could be. The following day, Harold arrived to install a backup sump pump powered by batteries in case the primary sump pump breaks down. I feel safer now in the event of another storm. Harold also assisted me in restarting the broken gas hot water heater.

I have dealt with Boris Mechanical on many occasions. I have found them to be a fair and honest contractor. The crews showed up on time and the work that was done was first class. I highly recommend them .

They are responsive and do good work but dont work on weekends

Everyone I dealt with was polite, knowledgable, helpful and well spoken. The job turned out to be more complicated than expected through no fault of theirs and they were assiduously responsive. I like to have a community of small business people I can rely and Ariel will be our plumber so long as we live here.

I came upon HBNY Plumbing & Heating's website on Google after the plumbing company I had an appointment with today cancelled for the second time. I spoke with Harry personally and he gave me an appointment for this evening. He came on time and he explained everything about the new Local 152 inspections.
He explained the report he would be filing and gave me pointers on what I can do to protect my gas lines.
The fact that he made an appointment the same day I called, the price was reasonable, he was on time, and explained everything, made me feel more at ease with the process.

Here is a little backstory…In May of 2015 we had a new high efficiency boiler (BOSCH Greenstar Combi) installed by a company I will not mention here so as to not taint this review. These crooks (those who installed the unit) would not help us when the heating exchange failed. Instead of helping us they simply said to install a new unit to further exploit us.

Finding a company who even knew how to service this boiler was a challenge in itself. With the help of Bosch we were able to find Kew Forest and we are so happy we did. From the moment we reached out to Paul, he helped to walk us through each process. Paul assessed our issues over the phone, answered all of our questions and sent his guys over that very day. He communicated with us daily, helped us to order the piece that he knew was under warranty, and then tried to find ways to help us avoid unnecessary costs. Even after his men changed the heating exchange he gave us advice on what parts to have on hand in order to avoid any future issues. The epitome of customer service. He was honest and forthright from the beginning, qualities that are rarely found these days. Paul, thank you for your diligence, efficiency and most important, your integrity.

I was infuriated when I found our kitchen sink broken and clogged. I immediately called RXP Plumbing & Heating to attend to the issue. They were very quick and successfully repaired the problem.

We were in a very difficult situation: it was winter, and a heating pipe had broken in an unidentifiable place behind a wall, or underground, in our basement apartment. The heat had to be turned off for our whole 4-unit building. Two other very reputable companies both told us we had to rip out our entire kitchen(!) to find the break and fix it. We were facing a huge expense and a complete disruption in our lives. Michael Donahue came over and immediately identified an entirely different way of solving the problem. He explained it very patiently to everyone in our building, came the next day, completed the job in a single day, restoring heat to our building with no demolition at all! He is truly in a league of his own. He charges fairly: you will pay top dollar, but it is worth every penny. In our case, he literally saved us at least $25K in collateral expenses.

They refuse to give you any idea over the phone of their repair costs or ballpark estimates for standard repairs even in buildings that they are contracted with. So you have to schedule an appointment to know what their hourly rates are. That means that for someone with a full time job you’ll probably need to schedule twice with them even for a simple repair. If you’re retired or work from home I guess that’s fine. But in the modern world, that greedy policy no longer makes any sense.
