I've used Kew Forest Plumbing over the years and always had a good experience. Today was no exception...J.D. and Ryan were timely, polite, respectful and professional. They explained the issue and course of action which was approved by their manager. In total the job took less than 2 hours and they kept me updated throughout the whole service call.
It's refreshing to receive consistently good customer service these days but Kew Forest makes sure to make it a priority. Thank you!!

It’s Saturday morning our boiler was leaking and we could not wait for Monday to get it fixed. Tommy N came on to our house with in a few hours and fixed our boiler. Luckily he was able to fix it before it turned into a bigger problem. Tommy N was professional, efficient and delivered high quality service. The price was fair and we now have peace of mind. We will go back to Kew Forest Plumbing and Heating and ask for Tommy N with any plumbing or heating needs.

We are in a small walk up, and half our building lost heat during a very cold week. Tommy N and Jay D from Kew Forest Plumbing came out and were incredibly helpful. Not only did they fix the issue, but explained everything in great detail so that we understood how to prevent the problem from happening in the future. In addition, Tommy N continued to check in for the next few days to make sure we had heat. We will absolutely use them again moving forward.

I used Kew Forest to repair an urgent heating pipe leak the weekend before Thanksgiving (right before my house filled with guests). They came by on the weekend and advised on the best course of action and then completed the work that Tuesday. The team was knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. I’ll use them again in the future.

These guys were super responsive and efficient in repairing leaky pipes in my house. Jason and Tommy are legit and professional They came by, took care of business, and were done in a couple of hours. This is the second time I used them, and the first time I was equally impressed with their service.

I recently had a new boiler installed by Danny & Jason, which was a very extensive project. Both Danny & Jason worked diligently for 12 hours straight to make sure that my new heating system was running perfectly by the time they left. They walked me through all the controls and all the Maintenace procedures. Not to mention they were extremely neat and clean!

Smelling gas presented in my basement. This company plumber came & told me gas was leaking from the gas meter box where it was connected to the furnace gas pipe. The plumber cut the pipe with the saw that vibrated vigorously, plugged the connected hole on the meter and did not reconnect the furnace pipe to the meter. I paid $300.00 for that sloppy job. The plumber told me he will follow up on that pipe, but he never came.
Next day, i smelled some vague gas. I ignored it because there maybe some leftover gas. But the gas smell got stronger and stronger, i had to open all windows even the weather was around 29 to 39 degree.
After a week i called them back to complain. The plumbers came. They told me there was a leak on the gas meter where the meter corner almost touched the cement wall step ( I guess that happened because of the vigorously vibration when they cut the pipe, it make the meter got bump the the wall step.) The plumbers left without shutting off my gas . It was careless and unprofessional !. The pipe to my furnace is still hanging loosely on the basement ceiling. Now they mail a charge of $138.00 for this service !!!!
I don't know what service is this???
Do you think they should give back my $300.00 instead of billing me $138.00 ?

Honest business with decent prices.

Had a gas line inspection done and the service agent was courteous and respectful. This company will be my go to plumbers from this point on.

*This review pertains to a job I had done recently by Kew Forest Plumbing. I removed the old bathtub myself, so Kew Forest Plumbing is not responsible for any of the Sheetrock, tile work etc.

I reached out to Kew Forest Plumbing to install a new bathtub. They sent someone to measure and the owner gave me an estimate. I agreed and they were there the same week with all the materials. I was working that day and unable to supervise.
I came to check when the job was complete and was surprised to see the tub was smaller than the space originally measured. In addition, it was sitting on shims. This was not discussed with me. I paid cash in full because I was sure they would resolve this issue. That turned out to be a mistake. I went back and forth via email with the owner and his story changed multiple times. Ultimately, he wanted to charge me again to resolve the issue. I refused and he finally wished me luck and ended the conversation.

They measured 60 x 32. You can see from the wood exposed below which they installed. The tub installed was 60 x 30. They suggested I pour concrete to fill in the two inch gap. The tub is not sturdy because its on shims and its also way too narrow for the space.

I authorized them to do the job without asking any questions because I trusted them. They've done great work for me before. They dropped the ball on this one.

i was trying to use them sent the young lady pictures to get my main water line fixed waiting for an appraisal its been 3 days now and still no one has called me back to give me a price and i called and the girl just said well I sent it she was very nice but didnt really know how to solve the problem

Unreliable, unprofessional and a waste of my time.

I called on Monday and made a appointment ( service call) for Wednesday 9am it all went smoothly. On Wednesday I called them at around quarter to 10am to make sure we was still scheduled for the service call, the receptionist sounded like she had no idea of the appointment she placed me on hold for a couple of minutes and after the brief hold she tells me that she had a hard time getting in contact with the guys in the van and that she’ll call me back once she gets in contact with them. She calls me back around 10am and told me that all of the guys are handling a emergency call and that she will call me to let me know when they are able to show up. I didn’t hear from her again up until the driver called me at 2pm saying that he was outside and he wasn’t, I called him back 3 times and he didn’t answer the phone so I decided to call the office and let them know what’s going on and at that point I was disappointed on how this whole experience turned out I tried making a later appointment so I wouldn’t of had to miss a day of work and they couldn’t schedule me for that time but the plumber ended up getting there at around 3pm I could have went to work and never missed out on a days work. I sent them back because I’m not going pay them $250 a hour which clearly they did not deserve. The whole experience could have been handled differently but they really just didn’t care which makes it even more disappointing.

Kew Forest Plumbing has been my “go to” plumbers for several years now.
Today they installed a new hose line ( to a better location) and removed the existing line. The workers (Tommy and JD) were fastidious about their job. They not only ran a new line, tested to ensure it functioned properly, closed off the old line, they also cleaned and vacuumed the areas. I must add, I appreciated that they discussed the various ways to remedy the plumbing issue with me to ensure I’d be satisfied with the solution I ultimately agreed to.
I wholeheartedly recommend them if you’re looking for the job to be well done and done correctly the first time.

This is not a responsible business, poor quality, they will go after your money, not your business. They wanted to replace a good boiler because they didn't want to do the dirty work to maintain it. My gas boiler shut off and I tried to get them to fix it (rollout switch was going of due to flame rollout). Two guys came without any tools to inspect my boiler, I thought that they would get me fixed during that appointment. They started the boiler and confirmed flame rollout and checked my chimney if it has draft. Next they told me that I need a new boiler and that they will send me a quote. I waited for a day without response, called them and the lady told me that she will call me right back. I haven't heard from them in a week. They charged me $277 for the initial appointment which lasted about 20 min. So if I relied on them then I would have no heat for at least a week. In the mean time I cleaned the boiler and replaced the rollout switch and it now works fine. Forget this company and use somebody else.

Top notch. Jason and James actually showed up a little early for the appointment, which was fine. I explained to them the problems, and they got right to work. They had a friendly banter with each other like true partners. They answered all my questions, never condescending to me or acting like it was a hassle, instead understanding that I was just trying to educate myself and learn, so that in the future I can take care of an issue myself or prevent future ones. I absolutely recommend this company, especially after another local one (initials AH) didn't even return my call.

The most challenging efforts as a homeowner is finding a company you can trust, a company who knows what they are doing and will stand by their word. Kew Forest Plumbing is just that company.

Here is a little backstory…In May of 2015 we had a new high efficiency boiler (BOSCH Greenstar Combi) installed by a company I will not mention here so as to not taint this review. These crooks (those who installed the unit) would not help us when the heating exchange failed. Instead of helping us they simply said to install a new unit to further exploit us.

Finding a company who even knew how to service this boiler was a challenge in itself. With the help of Bosch we were able to find Kew Forest and we are so happy we did. From the moment we reached out to Paul, he helped to walk us through each process. Paul assessed our issues over the phone, answered all of our questions and sent his guys over that very day. He communicated with us daily, helped us to order the piece that he knew was under warranty, and then tried to find ways to help us avoid unnecessary costs. Even after his men changed the heating exchange he gave us advice on what parts to have on hand in order to avoid any future issues. The epitome of customer service. He was honest and forthright from the beginning, qualities that are rarely found these days. Paul, thank you for your diligence, efficiency and most important, your integrity.

I have been dealing with Plumbers for the last 35 years. I finally can rest assured that they will do the right thing and at anytime of the day or night. I have owned several properties large and small and I now can feel comfortable making the call and having the issue resolved. Paul, the ladies in the office and Tommy have all been great. The knowledge that Paul has and the ability to pinpoint the issue is remarkable . I call and the ladies in the office always have a friendly response. When you get to the field, Tommy is the man. I would mention the other guys, but I forgot their names. Not their professional work, only that I forgot their names, sorry guys.

I've used Kew Forest twice this past year. Once for the installation of a water heater in my commercial building in Astoria and for a relay in my personal home. While Kew Forest might be a little more expensive than others, their service and expertise is, in my opinion, among the best! The only reason that I didn't give them five stars, and believe me, the only reason, is because I had a recent question about my last bill. I called their office and explained the reason for my call to the lovely receptionist who assured me of a timely response from one of the principals. I never received that call! Perhaps I'm a little jaded, but as a retired owner of a successful software company, I made such an inquiry from my valuable customers a priority! Perhaps this was only an oversight, and I will treat it as such. I plan on continuing to do business with Kew Forest in the future.

The two plumbers that came and told me what the problem was and that they can fix it were great. I was then told to call Paul so we can talk about the details and pricing. I called the office around 3pm yesterday was told he was on another call but would get back to me. Never heard back from. I called them today around 8am still couldn't get in touch with Paul then the women who answers the phones told me that they are booked up for this weekend and next and that they probably can't come. THANKS ALOT KEW FOREST. I called them because I had an emergency leak that is still leaking and now I'm scrambling to find another company. DON'T BOTHER TO CALL THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY BECAUSE YOU'LL BE WAITING FOREVER TO HEAR BACK!!!

They replaced an old leaky faucet. Prompt, courteous, covid safe (they wore and kept their masks on) and high quality service. The pricing was fair. Their work is guaranteed. I highly recommend them.

Caring, 5 Star Professionals! We have used KFPH for our toilet, dishwasher, kitchen sink and bathroom sink on different occasions and our experience has exceeded our expectations every time. First of all, their receptionist/scheduler is a total pro and charming as well. Appointments get confirmed in advance. Our plumber called enroute to confirm arrival time. How great is that? But the best part, is that repairs are knowledgeable, practical and customer service oriented. We've always been given a choice of solutions, mindful of budget and preferences. Today's experience with our bathroom sink presented them with a ridiculous challenge due to a previous faulty installation by other contractors. Their efforts were frankly heroic and saved us a great deal of stress and money. We're incredibly grateful and appreciative of their efforts, skill and professionalism. And they're very nice people.

I'm giving 5 stars because they have integrity in spades. I called another plumbing company and they promised to come but an hour later, I called back and no one could make it. Kew Forest called me back and talked me through shutting off a valve so that they could come during normal business hours to deal with my issue. So grateful we have a company like this that puts customers first and deals with the issue in a timely way to bring peace of mind to their clientele. I cannot express my gratitude. They're generally very good and professional. I wasn't thrilled when I noticed the guy that showed up wasn't wearing a mask. I asked if he was vaccinated & he said he wasn't. He did put one on after I asked, at least on his mouth but geez. That's why this thing won't go away. Not cool.

My father has been using this company for many many years. So I had a hot water heater in my home break and it caused a huge leak in my boiler room. My father told me to call these guys. I called them and they were the best. They showed up on time and were neat and very professional. One of the owners named Paul even called me the next day to see if everything was working properly. Paul you have a customer for life.

Our pipes backed up in the basement. I called them at about noon and they we're at my house in an hour. They we're courteous, explained everything, and fixed the pipes pronto. The total cost of the job was $212 and it took them about 20 minutes to do it. Would most definitely use them again!

I been doing my boiler inspection for five years now with this company and always runs smoothly they are very on point I thought my boiler need to be replaced after 21 years but after Jack and Albert came and by the advice by Paul they troubleshoot on the entire system and turns out I did not need a replacement they save me a lot of money today but because of that honest move when I do need a new boiler they will surely get the job once again thank Paul

Said 12 to 4 and came exactly at 12. They were very professional and funny! They solved the issue of a clog in or near the pipe stack. I'm keeping this company on my good list. Will definitely call them for future projects.

Kew Forest did the heat installation for our entire townhouse. Radiant heat (used Warmboard), and European style radiators in the tenant units. Perfect job, very professionally done, and a pleasure to work with. Hands down the most qualified experts during the entire renovation process. I highly recommend Kew Forest!

Refuses to provide insurance for work. Called them out on it, and they said I need to send a check first. Obviously I said no - like car insurance, plumbing insurance is a MUST.

The boiler they worked on stopped working. Asked for visit/maintenance, and they claimed they no longer do work for me because I didn't send the check.

Bound to be doing something shady in the background. Not trustworthy.
