Best Boiler Work in Minneapolis MN
Update - Minnesota Plumbing and Heating called to follow-up and sent a technician out. He looked at the softener and gave suggestions on next steps. I do appreciate their follow-up with me
I called to ask if someone could come out and look at a Kenmoore water softener that put out hard water periodically and randomly. The person who booked the appointment for me said that their plumbers were very familiar with that appliance and would be able to help. The plumber showed up 30 minutes after the 2 hour appointment window I was given and said that he didn't know what he was there to look at. I showed him the softener and explained the problem. He stated that I should call the 800 number on the softener and that he didn't know anything about the system and that he wasn't sure why he was sent to my house. The only redeeming part about the experience was that he didn't charge me the $59 visit fee. Nobody followed up with me at all after he left.

Tom did a great job fixing my leaking pipe in the basement. Quality workmanship. Very professional. Will use again for all my plumbing needs.

Efficient and professional. I highly recommend Janecky. In 2008 they resolved a plumbing problem within 20 minutes of being onsite - a problem another local plumber could not fix despite making 4 failed attempts. Just used Janecky again (Oct 2016) for a new water heater with install, another great customer service experience. Use them, you will be impressed!

I contacted Franklin to get a second opinion after the first drain cleaning company refused to work on it. Felipe agreed to work on it and gave me a pretty good idea of what to expect when the plumber visits it. He was knowledgeable and honest. There was no attempt to upsell or get me to pay for extra work that wasn't needed. Service was fast and friendly. They are a lot more expensive than the other drain companies but they will come out on weekends so it's a trade off.Update: after the plumber came to fix the underlying problem, I will knock off one star as he was a bit aggressive on the upselling sales tactics, and I probably could have gotten a better price elsewhere if I had been willing to wait an extra day. Overall though, he did a great job on replacing the rusted pipes and worked quickly. Pretty professional and clean service.

Contracted through America Home Shield Warranty (another terrible company). Utterly worthless. It took them two days to dispatch a plumber. He showed up in his personal vehicle. By then the clog had partially cleared. I explained what the previous plumber found and the remedy that was needed (full clean out). The plumber flushed the toilet a few times while looking at the cleanout. The toilet backed up but slowly cleared. He declared that since it wasn't a full stoppage there was nothing he could do. I asked him to remove the toilet and snake to the cleanout. He said he wasn't authorized to remove the toilet. Huh? A plumber who can't remove a toilet?
This company is a joke.
