Best A/C Preventive Maintenance in Las Vegas NV

I would recommend this company above anyone else. Zach was wonderful. I couldn't work the thermostat they came and showed me how. They are truly sincere in trying to figure out what the problem is and fix it the best way possible without trying to charge to much. Thank you Techcool for working with me so well.

We had a Technician, Ron, from Goettl come out and perform a quarterly check of our system. My wife pointed out at the beginning that one of the zones (2) was not responding to the call from the thermostat. Ron checked it out and stated that the problem was with the zone board and that we needed a new one. I asked Ron how he determined that the board was no good and he said that he had tried using wires from another zone that worked and it did not work on zone 2, the bad zone. Ron did not leave an estimate for a new one so I called and got an estimate of 1380 dollars for an installed control board.Being wary of high estimates from a cursory check of the problem, I got online and read the manual for the zone board. It turns out that there is a reboot feature and a power cycling recommended to get the board working right. Ron did not say if he tried these two methods to get the board working. The troubleshooting part of the manual also states to use a jumper on the terminals to mimic the signal for heat from the thermostat. I went to the garage and made a quick jumper and went to the attic to troubleshoot the board. The reboot and onoff power cycling did not work so I jumped the terminals per the manual and the operational green led came on and the furnace kicked on then the fan. This eliminated the board as the problem. I went down to the thermostat and pulled the panel from the wall mounting. The batteries were good and the pins were good but I noticed the white wire from the wall attached to the Wg terminal, not the W terminal as it should have. I changed the wire to the W and Voila! the system came on. I am disappointed that Ron did not properly troubleshoot the board and check the thermostat. This would have only taken him 15 minutes. I know that Ron is thoroughly trained on this issue and I have no training. I suspect that Ron was only following the Goettl business model and leaving the actual fix to another tech to collect the exorbitant cost. Interestingly, I found a copy of the zone board manual on top of the return box where the board was mounted on.This is somewhat similar to a previous episode about 1.5 years ago where it was recommended by the Goettl technician to replace the two capacitors on the outside condensers for a little over 1000 dollars. I went online and found the hard start capacitors for 36 dollars each on ebay and installed them. Just a word to the wise to the homeowner, ask questions and do a little research.

DO NOT USE. First of all Belinda in their scheduling department needs to have a come to Jesus moment if talking with people is the right job for her. You can barely understand her and her attitude is rude. They did work on my brand new home and the workmanship is so poor that I will be calling the contractor board .

Olay was very nice and professional, came to fix our igniter on our fireplace, other people quoted me anywhere from $150-$800! He took a little time, tested and cleaned the manifold, and showed me the trick to the pilot light on this model. It works great! Highly recommend them.it only cost me $65!
