I had been dealing with a stubborn kitchen sink problem for weeks until I called for a plumber. The plumber arrived on time and exhibited exceptional skills in resolving the issue. Their attention to detail and commitment to providing a long-term solution left me impressed and relieved.

I had a water valve burst in my finished basement on Christmas morning. I don't know how much water came out, or how long before it was broken (thank you laundry pile for absorbing so much), but it was a lot. Unfortunately I had no way to stop the leak other than shutting off the water main to my entire house... a house which uses radiator heat, and thus needs water to keep warm. I called Hurricane and they had some one out there on Christmas afternoon, just a few hours later, to fix the problem and get my house livable again. I have no clue what a reasonable price for saving my butt on Christmas day is, but they were the only plumber around that was even willing to do the work, so to me that's five star worthy. Erik was incredibly responsive and great with communicating. Brendan did the job well and was very friendly. I hope to never be in this situation again, but if I am, they'd be my first call.

They've done work at my mother's house 3-4 different times and the work has been excellent each time. I'll continue to use them when the need arises again.

Prompt service easy to talk to

Use their service for the first time... Other service never pick up the phone only voice mail ( i hate that ) Called them in the afternoon and came in less than in a hour. Removed and installed my residential apartment water heater completed in less than 2 hours. Fair price and negotiated straight with the steve the owner directly ( not they are just like private contractors and bunch of guys with plumber tools with no license who has no idea to fix my water heater, as matter as fact dependablewas my 3rd one after the other two walked away without giving me better solutions ) Steve and Rino were doing great job to my water heater. It was completely perfect and fits beyond my expectation. they were willing to do it over a mile just to keep up my satisfaction. I guess they are not just dependable for me.. Reliable as well... Keep up the good work guys. Makes your clients happy and you will get more referrals . Thank you so much for saving my time.

Beware using Roto Rooter - their individual workers are professional and great. The pricing structure they use or quote is 2-3x valued work they do execute. To pull a toilet was almost $500 which is a DIY thing to do if need be. Lot of services are far more than what the actual job should be charged for. Shop around before taking them for what they assess a job for as it will be extremely high comparably to other companies around. Also, don't feel pressured by them which we did to go into a big project without shopping around quotes. Do yourself a favor and shop quotes and do your own research. This is not a negative on the workers but the overall structure/pricing of the company/franchise and their care for highest price sold. They have quality work but the prices for that are 2-3x other companies that would deliver the same. End of story - do not use them as a primary company, shop around if not an emergency and get quotes. Even if it is an emergency call local plumber that has good reviews and is local then them as you will be overcharged for remedial work that would have been done for a lot cheaper by other vendor.

Not recommended. The technician broke the shutoff valve while fixing our bathroom sink.

We had called about a small leak. The tech came to assess and said we needed a whole new faucet. We agreed and he installed a new one. While doing it, he broke the shutoff valve. He did not try to fix it; after charging us $450 for a new faucet, he simply just left.

When we called the company again for support on replacement valve, they said they would need to charge for the replacement. Charge us for something their own technician broke.

Great business model, old as time. Make something worse, and then charge customer to fix.

I **think** the team leans on a task rabbit type of hiring. So luck of the draw on the technician. This is a guess, as when we first called the company to complain they said we don't have record of sending anyone. We had to send a picture of the receipt from the tech as proof. Even after this, they did not take any responsibility for the poor work of the tech they sent.

These guys are TERRIFIC. We had an emergency at our pharmacy with our heater and even though its close to the holidays they came in found the issue and fixed it right away at a super affordable price. They have top notch customer service and are there immediately when we are in need. We look forward to another year of working with them!

When it was about time to replace a pair of water booster pumps in our 12-unit condominium building I selected Kook & Son among three different vendors I had invited to provide a quote for the contemplated work because I thought that Kook's offer was not necessarily the cheapest but the best value for what we expected. The installation turned out to exceed my expectations both in terms of quality of labor and improvement to our building. Howard, the owner, was involved along the way and I appreciated that he took time to address my initial questions and concerns on the phone and also via email throughout the process. I picked Kook & Son then also for the installation of a natural gas line to feed our barbecue grills on our roof deck. That work was completed equally well. I would pick Kook & Son again for all other plumbing or gas work in our building.

Only giving one start because it isn’t possible to give zero. Would not give an estimate ahead of time and assured they would give me a price before doing anything - and then after giving me a ludicrous price and me saying I wasn’t interested they demanded $45 for the ‘time’(it was 2 minutes). Would definitely stay away from this business if I was looking for any sort of plumbing help.
