Best New Installation in Jersey City NJ

The first Company i called failed to unclog our sewer pipe, we called this company. They worked hard for over three hours to run their cable over 170 feet to the tree roots in our pipe at the end of our long driveway. These guys are professionals, knowledgeable and hardworking. We now have flushing toilets and running water once again.

After taking a ~$1000 full payment to fix a leak, they decamped with the money after cutting open the walls and leaving the work incomplete. Not responding to calls. Fraud. Beware.

Mo, the owner, was very responsive to my issue (leaking wax seal on a toilet) and sent two guys (one also named Mo) to fix the issue at the time that worked with my schedule. They showed up on time and did the work neatly and professionally. Mo the Owner, honored a FB discount on the final bill. Cost was reasonable. Thank you again for helping us out!!

Our furnace would not light. First cold day. We went on the neighborhood chat group and were recommended to American Way. I phoned them at 7:45am and a real person picked up on the first ring. I was told the technician would come between 11-2. The two-man team phoned me at 9:30, arrived at 9:45, had the furnace lit in under 5 minutes. Adam had me crouched down in front of the ignition assembly as he explained the situation. He demonstrated how to deal with a reoccurrence and explained what parts should be replaced (the furnace is 25-30 yrs old). No nonsense, reasonable charges. Needless to say I asked them for a sticker to put on my unit.

Dan responded quickly to a leaking bath shower problem and repaired and replaced all the plumbing and installed a shower surround in less then 1 day. First homeowner issue in my new condo and my only toilet was leaking just before the weekend when most places are closed (or charging extra high prices). Spoke with Carmine late Thursday afternoon; he was able to have Ben come out and check it out on Friday morning. Ben did a thorough review of the situation, made me aware of potential complicating factors, proposed and executed a solution all before 11am. And he did a very thorough job cleaning up afterwards. He also had a fairly deep institutional knowledge of the building and unit from prior work there, which was helpful to me having only recently moved in. I'm thankful and hopeful that the solution holds tight (literally).

My shower was not draining and I tried everything to fix it myself to no avail. I called them on Saturday morning and had an appt for the same afternoon. My technician was even early and was able to fix the clog within 20 min. He even gave me tips if I run into the issue again. Sure I didn't want to spend the money but sometimes you need to involve the professionals.

Gave me a price of $12,500 without actually seeing the job. He sent a tech, tech was nice, but the supervisor over the phone gave me this price. I asked him how he came up with the number, he started explaining, I said you haven't seen the job. I told him I'm in this business and know what's needed to do the job..how can you estimate a job you haven't seen? Its roughly 25 feet of 1 1/2 inch copper pipe. Than they charged me a service fee. I work in this business and when a company over shoots, its because they just want a quick buck with the service fee. Would not recommend. Thieves are what yous are. I got multiple estimates no where near their blind estimate. Again stay away, get multiple estimates.

Kook & Son installed a new AC/heat pump system into a home that is way over 100 years old. At all times everyone from Kook was professional, courteous and thorough. They completed the substantial amount of install work in consecutive days, without interruption. Even prior to our purchase decision, Howard Kook gave us extensive advice and presented solutions that were realistic, reasonable and without apparent bias. The installers, Pierre and Manny, listened to me, addressed my concerns, and came up with solutions that worked for all parties involved. I feel that Kook & Son did the project right.

Only giving one start because it isn’t possible to give zero. Would not give an estimate ahead of time and assured they would give me a price before doing anything - and then after giving me a ludicrous price and me saying I wasn’t interested they demanded $45 for the ‘time’(it was 2 minutes). Would definitely stay away from this business if I was looking for any sort of plumbing help.
