I used Aumenta Plumbing to replace a leaking main water valve. They came to my house promptly and explained what needed to be replaced. They left the place clean and tidy, very proefessional. I would recommend them to anyone.
Where should I begin. I can't say enough about how amazing Aumenta Plumbing is. My husband and I have several properties throughout JC and we have been working with Aumenta for the last six years. We have always used their services. The one time that we skimped and didn’t turned out to be a huge mistake. Without going into too much detail, we experienced leaks and other damage that created a nightmare! We knew we needed Carmine and his team to rescue us. Not only did they come and fix the problem, but they did it with a great deal of professionalism and care. These are plumbers who go above and beyond providing a peace of mind and superb, quality services - every single time - and some of the nicest people we have ever worked with. Don’t think twice about using their services. They are truly the best in the plumbing and heating business. I highly recommend them - definitely 5 stars!!

Aumenta's team has done several jobs in my house. Their service is quick and professional.
First homeowner issue in my new condo and my only toilet was leaking just before the weekend when most places are closed (or charging extra high prices). Spoke with Carmine late Thursday afternoon; he was able to have Ben come out and check it out on Friday morning. Ben did a thorough review of the situation, made me aware of potential complicating factors, proposed and executed a solution all before 11am. And he did a very thorough job cleaning up afterwards. He also had a fairly deep institutional knowledge of the building and unit from prior work there, which was helpful to me having only recently moved in. I'm thankful and hopeful that the solution holds tight (literally).

Aumenta Plumbing is our plumbing company of choice for all our plumbing service needs at home. They did a fantastic job installing new faucets for all our bathrooms, installed new flush valves for all our toilets, and most recently, they changed the gas pipe in our kitchen to hide it on the wall. They are very professional, reliable, customer-driven, timely, and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this company in the Jersey City area in NJ.
My hot water tank broke on me overnight so I immediately called Aumenta Plumbing the following morning after going through reviews of local plumbers. They were able to make a visit a little over an hour after my call and after taking a look at my system, Carmine was able to confirm that it did need to be replaced and they had a replacement tank on hand so it could be done that day. He was back an hour later with all the supplies and did a careful and thorough job draining the old broken heater, switching it out with the new one, and getting all the pipes and vents in place. He was also able to help me look into a toilet flush issue that I also had and resolved it quickly as well. Pricing was reasonable especially given the turnaround and quality of work, and I'm grateful to have hot water back less than a day after the tank broke!

Ive been doing business with this company for a while and its been great. The brothers, Carmine and Ben are always pleasant to deal with and have been nothing but outstanding over the years. Highly recommend.

We have used Carmines since moving to JSQ 7 years ago. The previous owners of our home recommended them, and we have continued to call Carmines whenever we have a plumbing issue. They have always been efficient, polite, and well priced. We last used them during the ongoing Covid crisis to help hook up a portable washing machine. Ben was prompt, communicative, and wore a mask when working inside our home. I'm sure we'll continue hiring these guys for many years to come.

I had a very frustrating experience with Carmine. I agree with NafNar B. This man had problem dealign with people. They are rude and over price. They came to my house with a very bad attitude and when I told the guy the price was to hight he got very mad and started fighting. I felt threatened in my own house.
As someone who rarely writes negative reviews, I'll have to warn ANYONE considering hiring Carmine, the sole owner and operator of this chop shop. I called last week to which Carmine promised me he would come by WITHOUT charging for an initial fee. As he seemed so friendly, I thought I'd give him a try. This week when we're finally ready to schedule the appointment for tomorrow, guess what? All bets are off!
Carmine proceeded to ask to charge $150 initial consultation fee JUST FOR SHOWING UP, which is double to triple others' fees in this area. Also, the condescending attitude DOES NOT HELP, CARMINE.
To top it off, he had the NERVE to say and I'll consider to apply it to the fixing cost, I MAY apply this as a credit. Anyone with ANY experience hiring contractors knows that it is absolutely customary for the initial consultation fee to be applied to the actual project cost. That's just basic standard operating procedure for ANYONE IN BUSINESS. I guess he figured I would be easy to fool. Read previous reviews and you'll see exactly why he chose to pick on me. Doesn't he know that the internet exists? Does he seriously think he's the only person I called?
What a switch and bait ploy. To LIE to a potential customer is unacceptable and unprofessional. More importantly, it shows you what character this person has. I told him straight to his face I don't trust you, no way I'm hiring you for anything.
BEWARE OF Carmine and his shenanigans! Don't let his fake demeanor fool you - he's just going to waste your time like he did mine. What a fraud!

Hello - I recently used Aumenta Plumbing for an urgent kitchen sink leak. They were prompt, professional and all around good people. I would refer them to my network and already have! If you are in Jersey City and the surrounding areas, use them!
Carmine provided courteous customer support and his team provided prompt service for several repairs as well as estimates. They were timely and professional with the work they performed and explained exactly what they were doing so we understood clearly. I will be using them again for any general plumbing needs I have.

Wow, My morning started at 3am. I hear a loud whisting sound in my bathroom and to my surprise the pipe is gushing with water. It would not stop! At this point i'm calling everyone and no one is able to send anyone. I call Aumenta and they literally were at my door within 5 minutes. They are professional, quick and resonable. I hope to never be in this situation again but if ever I happen to be I will only go through Aumenta.

These guys are not the cheapest, but they got back to me when I called, they came around the next day as promised, they were pleasant and helpful, fixed the problem quickly and put everything back the way it was. This was in sharp contrast the other 3 companies I called who didn't even return my calls.
I'm not even going to bother with the others next time.

We have utilized Aumenta Plumbing several times for our Childcare Center. Recently we had them do work on our heating pump and piping.
As always they did an excellent job. Carmine and his sons always keep us well informed as work proceeds. Aumenta Plumbing is very professional and have the extra benefit of family pride in a job well done. Pricing is good and quality of work is excellent. I also have to add that they always leave the work area very clean after the job is complete. This is not usually the case for other companies we have used. I highly recommend this company.
Highly recommend this company. I talked to Carmine around noon, and, on the SAME day, Ben came to check on my leaking boiler. AND the next morning, within an hour, it was fixed. Ben was very professional and courteous. I am truly impressed and satisfied. Within 24 hours, my boiler issue was resolved! Thumbs up!

Great customer service, fair pricing and accommodating in scheduling.
The price was fair and the work was done well. Carmine came for the consultation. He said that most hot water tanks wouldn't fit, and went out of his way on his own time to find one that did. I don't understand why someone said he charges $150 for a consultation fee. Nothing like that happened. His son did the work, and was friendly and professional.

Aumenta Plumbing is amazing! They installed our new toilet, new vanity and reverse osmosis system. Carmine Jr. is always on time, courteous and friendly. He also leaves the work area cleaner than when he arrived. I highly recommend Aumenta Plumbing for all plumbing and heating needs.
Had an issue with my toilet. The water would not stop running after the tank was full. The shut off valve was also broken. Carmine Jr. came same day within the hour to repair my issue. He was very nice and ran to the hardware store twice to get parts to make sure everything was working correctly. He made me feel comfortable and I was happy with the job performed. The pricing was average for the work done. Paid $250.00 in cash for a new pump system, valve and seal. I have actually used this company for the last 8 years that I have lived at my current address. They have always been professional and friendly. Something I value as a female since not all people in the plumbing and electrical industry treat female customers the same as they would a male.
Poor customer service. Was on the phone with the guy all of 15 seconds asking some basic questions. He interrupts me to place me on hold and never came back.

Second, they call to confirm their appointment, call on the way there, and arrive on time.

We had Aumenta plumbing fix pipes that were causing a water issue in our basement. Younger Carmine (adult son of original owner) did all the work for us and was great. Such a nice guy and fixed it for a more reasonable cost than other contractors had proposed. Highly recommend them!
I was considering Aumenta Plumbing for water heater replacement. But I will not be calling them after reading Andaknee comment about this company's service.
I was very pleased to have a professional job done. Carmine kept me informed on the entire process and was a pleasure to work with. No surprises like with past plumbers! Also at the end they left my house spotless. They are reliable and really know their craft. I was very satisfied.

I've been a customer of Aumenta Plumbing & Heating for almost 5 years and have consistently been extremely pleased with their service, rates and follow-up. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and always go out of their way to explain the issue and offer a best possible solution WITHOUT overselling! These guys are the real deal and I am a lifelong customer!
I had a major leak coming from my tankless hot water heater. I called Carmine and he was here within 3 hours (Same day). He diagnosed the problem within 5 mins and throughly explained all of the working parts of the hot water heater to me so I had a full understanding. 2 parts needed to be replaced and he went and picked them up and was back within an hour. Took about another hour and change but was all good to go within 6 hours of calling. Very very impressive. Saved my bathroom/apt from flooding.
Would use again in a heartbeat!!!

My sump pump failed on a Sunday and flooded my basement, Carmine was extremely helpful and timely in fixing it. He was quick to come out after hours and explain what was wrong and what needed to be done (main and backup sump pump replaced). Prices were very fair, the work was done quickly and cleanly.

Got the job done but more expensive than the competition. Carmine told me there was no initial consultation cost but his technician demanded it (2x what others charge). Carmine was friendly but his technician can use some customer service training. Will not call them again.

Experienced and most importantly truthful. Always reliable ! We once didn’t have heat in a very cold period and Carmine Jr saved us. He did everything he could to make sure we had the part ASAP. After multiple plumbers came and tried to fix my Navien tankless machine with no success, I stumble upon Aumenta Plumbing and I am happy to say that my heating issues are fixed thanks to Carmine.
I called their office in the morning and within an hour I got a call saying that they could be there in 15 mins. Carmine was very informative and not only did he fix the issue I was having without doing unnecessary changes or trying to upsell me, but he also gave me really good tips in order to take care of the machine so I could avoid problems in the future. Aumenta Plumbing will be my place to go from now on!

Our old system could be characterized as an antique but we just couldn't afford a new system. Carmine and, his son, Ben understood our situation and managed to keep the terminally ill boiler alive for nine years. Finally, the water pump effectively exploded. Initially, we considered just replacing the pump but in the end we replaced the entire system. Obviously, this was a big expense for us but Carmine really worked to keep the cost as low as possible. This was a challenging job due to the age of our building and we couldn't be happier with the work they did. I would recommend this family business to anyone
The team is wonderful they are very polite and courteous to my 76 year old mom and stepdad. Every time they are in need of assistance, they are quick to respond and fix the problem no matter how big or small. The prices are reasonable and we never had to call them back.

Very unprofessional. First they called and when I returned their call within a few minutes, he said sorry the boys waited and headed elsewhere. Then I was given a three hour appointment window of 9am tto 12pm. I waited upto 1pm for them to arrive. When I called at 1pm they said they were no longer interested in coming! Absolutely unprofessional.
I don't usually write review. But This time I need to. I had dealt with this plumbing company twice before, prices were a bit higher than other plumbers, but it went ok. This time I tried to call them on Sunday noon due to an emergency of leaking for my rental property, someone Picked up the phone telling me they can't come on Sunday but will try to help on Monday. I told them I would call them again on Monday. As leaking is bit urgent, I had someone else to take care of the issue on Sunday later afternoon. On Monday morning I call Carmine that the issue was fixed and do not need it. The guy who picked up my call was really rude, and question You don't cancel your appoint? DON'T CALL US AGAIN! I was shock to hear that. We just talked about the leaking on Sunday and Carmine couldn't help on Sunday, which is ok. But this kind of poor unprofessional customer service make me so disappointed and they even don't remember what happened to the customers and answered in such rude manner. I so disappointed. It seems they care about their business and money more than customers. Don't trust the review on angieslist

Firstly, I think it s important that people understand something from the get go. When you go to the Doctor or a lawyer...you pay for that service. I think its unfair that Aumenta PLmbg is getting bad reviews because of why? they actually charge? is that the problem?...The person who thought he was being treated unfairly because his sewer was backed up and Aumenta charged 190.00. Secondly, when you call any service professional you should expect to pay accordingly. And thirdly, Shame on Mr 190.00 for actually moaning and complaining....that 30.00 snake compared to professional equipment is the difference between a Mercedes-Benz and a Match box car.....your right ...there is no comparison..!
Absolutely awful & unprofessional. I waited 2 hours for Carmine to show up. When I called to see where he was he said he was on his way and then hung up on me. I called back a second time and he told he was on the other line and that he no longer was interested in doing the job and hung up on me again. My super and I were dumfounded. Carmine called bak 5 minutes later and said he didn't want to start a business relationship with me & accused me of interrupting an important phone call and speaking to him like a child. My super and I were again dumfounded. I explained to him that the business relationship started when he agreed to arrive at a specific time and didn't show up. Definitely stay away from this guy...thank goodness he never got into my apartment!

Responsive and friendly. but not very good at their trades, especially on heating system. If the jobs only require minimal diagnostics, you can count on them. If the jobs requires good knowledge of the system, you better spend your money on other companies. I paid dearly to find out this and had to switch to another shop just to find the faulty sensor. Aumenta's only mechanics showed up three times ( thanks for the good customer service experience) but still could NOT figure out what went wrong!
Used them several times. They are honest and don't charge for unnecessary repairs. Their quality of work is excellent. I have had nothing but great experiences with them.

Carmine Jr. installed a flood stop (a/k/a leak detector) on my water heater. He also replaced some of my shower fixtures.
He did a great job, and explained everything very clearly to me. As an added bonus, he cleaned and shined up another shower fixture that was not being replaced so it looks like new!
