Hot water heater repair and outdoor faucet fused to hose. We have been using Andy and John since we moved into the neighborhood six years ago. Why? Because they are honest, pleasant, trustworthy, and good at what they do. Most recently, our hot water was reduced to less than half. I thought I would be spending $1,000+ for a new hot water heater. John came out on Friday; assessed the problem, which turned out to be a corroded heating element; and promised to be back on Monday with the replacement parts (decided to replace both heating elements). And, as good as his word, John showed up early Monday afternoon to do the job. In addition, I had him remove a hose that had fused to an exterior faucet; a mistake I will never make again. John got the work done, no muss, no fuss. Pleasant surprise: the cost was less than we originally discussed and several hundred dollars less than a new hot water heater. Finding a trustworthy, competent trades-person can be a challenge. So, when you do, don't let them go. That is why, as long as we live in Philadelphia, Andy's is the only plumbing and heating company we will ever use.

Andy was quick to respond coming out the same day to diagnose and fix my aging AC unit. Was very reasonably priced. He even fixed my dripping hose bib for me and that was not part of my original service call. Honest hard working plumber. I recommend highly.

I always feel confident in the work Andy has done and continue to do-He came in for a plumbing repair and showed me what the issue is, as well as offered solutions, based on my need-Andy puts his clients first, and it shows.

Deleted my previous 5 star review. andys does not return calls, now uses some kind of horrible outsourced third party answering service. Awful. Literally will not call me back ever. Also, the thermocouple they installed two years ago just went bad. Avoid.

10pm on a Monday flood at the house!. The trusty never touched water heater in my finished basement from 2003 finally popped, in Manayunk. 7am Tuesday onward, calls to (3) different local recommended plumbers and Home Depot's service. Andy was the only one to return my call, could be to the house in an hour, and was there on time. In minutes, had a proper recommendation, answered my random but what about... questions, and even told me skip the added warranty. I'm on the road 24/7, and Andy had my old tank out, a new larger tank installed, everything reset, and back to functioning immediately. Terrific service, always responsive, and handled. Will be back, and highly recommend. Pricing, speed, and responsiveness, all local. Thanks again!

I feel like the anomaly, as the other reviews are positive.I thought Andy's prices were high...$225 to replace a shut off value. The work took 30 minutes. So basically, he's working for $400 an hour. Felt like a rip off.Another example of an estimate was $85 to replace a toilet flapper. It took me all of 5 minutes to replace it and was $8 for the parts.Service was good, but I was not pleased with the prices.

We called about a blocked kitchen drain at 9:00 pm. The next morning, Andy's Plumbing was at my house. Andy and his partner were very polite and thorough. They estimated that the job would take 30 minutes and it was right on time. They charged a fair price for the service, and I would recommend them to anyone. Great work, and great people!

I had a pretty bad plumbing situation in my guest house where my disabled father resides. Because it’s so difficult to get my father to the house and up stairs a began calling every plumber I could find. Andy’s Plumbing was the only one willing to squeeze me in last minute. I’m also in a very remote area so finding someone to even make the drive was difficult. He communicated well regarding arrival time, identified a few problems that caused the issue, gave me options and at no point did I feel he was being dishonest or trying to take advantage. He appeared genuinely concerned by my situation and ultimately fixed the problem. He went in to explain some very simple and not overly expensive ways I could make some changes to avoid future problems. All around great service. I would recommend Andy’s plumbing to anyone. Oh and I haven’t had an issue since. This review is nearly a month later so I’m confident he didn’t bandaid anything.

I had the opportunity to hire Andy to fix a toilet in the master bedroom that was having issue's flushing. He was an absolute professional and would be more then happy to recommend his service and support. I actually just called him again for another residence on a different issue and was immediately contacted the same day! Service A+++! Thank you!

Recommended through a friend. Awoke to a leak on a Sunday morning. My experience is short, but sweet & sincere. Called Andy ,and got a returned call promptly, from Andy. He walked me through possible scenarios and the diagnosis for each. I was able to resolve the leak, and he saved me a house call. Will definitely use again.(hopefully not too soon.)

Had and emergency today. The second floor toilet valve connecting the water to the tank split. Water was rushing all over the floor. Turned the water off and called Andy. He called me back in 5 minutes. Was on his way from one job to another and I fell in between the two jobs. He stopped by in 15 minutes after me call. I was prepared to wait until tomorrow. Fixed the valve quickly. I've been using him for 18 years. This is an example of why I do.

Had a plumbing emergency on the day of a BBQ...just happened to see an andys plumbing truck at a neighbors, I went an explained the problem and within minutes had another plumber at my house! Quickly fixed the problem!!! Fair pricing!!! Will definitely use again!
