Jonathan was, hands-down, the best home repair/tradesperson we have ever worked with in over 30 years of homeownership. When we had a near electrical fire because of a much-outdated breaker panel in our 1922 house and Jonathan found out about our situation, he began managing our project at a moment's notice. While larger companies were wanting to set up appointments for the future, Jonathan immediately understood the emergency nature of our problem and instantly engaged with our project with photos and questions. He proceeded to coordinate the permits needed with the city and the energy department right away, and he even drove to the city office in person to move our work along faster when city office workers didn't return his calls. He communicated clearly about the process every step of the way; he was efficient and on time; and he was a strong advocate for our emergency project with the horrible bureaucracy that is the City of Austin. After reading their positive Google ratings, I decided to hire the electrician. EARLY ON IN THE YEAR, WE HAD SOME BAD LUCK WITH CONTRACTORS, AND WE DIDN'T DO ENOUGH VEtting OF CONTRACTORS. Surprisingly, he arrived at the very start of the allotted time frame, quickly identified the source of the problem, and resolved it by replacing a faulty outlet, fuse, and adding a new one. A nice guy who told it like it was. The services at Top Tech aren't inexpensive, but they're well worth it.

The company expertly installed our outside lighting. They arrived on time and instantly responded to the request. We have their contact information for any future lighting needs because of how well they performed.

After taking the day off from work and scheduling a week in advance, Brian from Bryant Electric came to my house to replace 10 light switches, rewire a 3-way switch, and reconnect a receptacle. His charge for 4-hours of work? $1529.00! More than double a full day rate for an electrician. Of course I had no choice but accept the charges, since I had already waited a week and taken the day off of work.I just don't think this is an honest business practice. Bryant should offer a fair hourly rate. They overcharged me and I'm not going to use them again for my projects, and I've got lots of projects. Short term gain, long term loss.
