Indy Water Heater and Softener

Had a sump pump pipe crack and called them out to repair based on great reviews. The first repair had my sump pump discharging water in the middle of my backyard. After some back and forth, they finally agreed that it wasn't a A+ job, they extended the pipe to my easement. The easement is underwater full time, completely unusable, and I am responsible for mowing it. I called them again for someone to help figure out another solution and they said they'd call back with an estimate. I did get a call back a few days later... asking if I wanted to go ahead with scheduling the proper repair. I asked for the cost and was told they'd call back right away- that was weeks ago. Never heard from them again.

Indy Water Heater and Softener came to me as a referral from my realtor after my water heater sprung a leak. I originally called them for an emergency call that we decided could wait until morning. Danny came exactly when he said he would, was so pleasant, walked me through all the needed repairs, made suggestions for other repairs, and then made sure I understood everything he installed after the fact. His work even came in over the quote the estimate he gave me and he only charged me the quote price. Lastly when I was concerned about water damage to my floors he called a contact to come out and take a look at them for me. For someone who knows absolutely nothing about plumbing and was panicked about the repair, this was such a smooth experience.

I cannot stress enough how great this company and its owner are. I found them via a neighborhood page shortly after moving to Whitestown (the owner personally responded to an inquiry I had posted and offered to help over a weekend). Since then I've had them do several services/installs. Today, the owner himself went above and beyond to help me get me straightened out after my water softener froze and burst while I was out of town for the holidays. Coming home to water flowing from the garage is a pretty negative experience, but I honestly had such a great experience that I honestly don't see it as one. I'm lucky I found Danny and his company so soon after moving to town - don't hesitate to call them with all your plumbing needs!

I am renting a house in Carmel and have been here a year. When I first moved in, the hot water heater did not work and needed a part replaced. Jim came right away and was very friendly and trustworthy; he had to come back to fix it when I was at work. Almost a year to the day, the hot water heater was not working. The emergency number I had for the property was Danny's. He was so wonderful, trying to reach the realty company to get it fixed. Sam was also very friendly and helpful, also trying to reach the realty company. I was without hot water for quite a few days. Jim came out again when I was at work to fix the hot water heater. I cannot thank them all enough. I will definitely use them in the future as I am now buying a house.

After replacing the resin in my water softener, I had come to the limit of my own ability to get the unit back in service. I hesitated to contact a plumber, expecting they would merely insist that I abandon my efforts and purchase a brand new softener. Jason arrived and respected my objective to remain with the current unit and within minutes resolved the problem I'd pursued for more than a month, saving me much money and preserving the efforts I'd already invested in the repair. He's very considerate, knowledgeable, thoughtful, professional and skilled. I couldn't be happier.

We have used Indy Water Heater and Softener twice now. Once to install a new water heater and then also to come and repair a pipe pressure emergency we had. Both times they were so helpful and quick to fix our issues. The service guys were both professional and kind in answering all the questions we had. We had alarms on our water sensor at our sump pump overnight on a Saturday into a Sunday and called first thing Sunday morning. We left a voicemail and had a return call in less than two minutes from Ryan, who was actually with his family on vacation. He walked through the issue and said someone would call us to schedule. We heard from Danny only a short time later who had us do some diagnostic tests to pinpoint the issue. Once he figured out the problem, he said that while we could probably wait to handle the issue until Monday, he would be able to come over within a couple hours to make the repair. As promised, he arrived within a few hours and repaired the issue quickly and within the budget quoted to us. Very happy with their service and will absolutely call them again for future plumbing issues!

Dan, the owner of the company, made several fixes in our house. One of the main things was detecting that there was a problem with our water softener. He replaced it with a new and better one. He was very patient with me as I watched him and asked several questions to learn about how water softeners work. Dan also replaced two sink faucets and other jobs at our house to repair a leak that was beginning to cause a bubble in the ceiling below the bathroom sink and tub.

Dan was very prompt in arriving at our house. In fact, he called a couple of times to update me on his estimated arrival time. He was very courteous and great to work with. It was obvious that he wanted to be sure he did excellent work.

I will not hesitate in calling Indy Water Heater and Softener the next time I have a plumbing need. Again, Dan was great to work with.

We had a slab leak in our Kitchen. They were extremely helpful in getting a detailed estimate for our insurance company. They were very understanding, professional, great personalities, and very easy to work with. They did great work and made a very stressful situation feel not so stressful! Danny Jim and Chris were great to work with! It’s so hard to find contractors that say what they’re gonna do and act with integrity and thankfully we were able to find it with this company.

Danny installed a new water heater in our home. He arrived when expected, removed our old water heater and installed the new one. He noticed a gap between the vent pipe and the wall and alerted me to safety concerns. He made the necessary repairs. He reviewed temperature settings and maintenance recommendations upon completion of the installation. Danny was courteous and worked expeditiously and with respect for our home and budget.

Later in the week, Danny completed a series of plumbing needs. One request was to install a new faucet in one of our bathrooms; he called me at work and explained that while he was happy to install the fixture I had purchased, it was not as good as the existing one. He was aware that this was a cosmetic request and not a necessary replacement so he wanted to make sure that I understood that the new faucet would not be as durable as what was already there. I appreciated his alerting me to this and I decided to leave the current fixture in place.

Danny has been very mindful of our budget and very clear about costs, reviewing his thoughts/plans on the appropriate course of action for the various projects we contracted him to do. It has been a pleasure to work with Danny and we will continue to call him as additional plumbing needs occur.

I got Indy Water Heater's number from my water heater company's website. When I called Indy, the gentleman who answered was responsive, knowledgeable, and was able to get me an appointment the next morning. The 2 technicians were professional, cleaned up behind themselves, and came on time. They educated me to my new unit and how to yearly flush the tank to have it last longer. I will recommend them highly to anyone who asks for a recommendation.

I had a small leak inside my crawl space. Danny quickly identified the source - the external faucet had cracked due to freezing. He quickly replaced the faucet and added a shutoff valve to prevent future problems. The price was reasonable and I will use them in the future for my plumbing needs.

Danny is great, does wonderful work and is very reasonable on price. He completely rebuilt my master shower from scratch in the fall, looks and works better than it originally did. He also installed a water softener that actually works and gives us great water quality, no more smell to the water or dingy white laundry anymore! Out of all the contractors I've had work at the house the past year or so Danny has been the only one who shows up on time and keeps you updated throughout the entire job. Can't say enough great things about his work!

Danny and his folks are some of the nicest (and most knowledgeable) tradesmen we've had in our home. After purchasing a home with some hidden plumbing leaks (most missed on the inspection), we ended up with five different leaks hidden behind the walls - including a full kitchen insurance claim. Danny only charged us one trip fee, and fixed every single leak right the first time. This included taking apart shower equipment, 3 sump pumps, and a kitchen remodel. Danny worked with and around all the other contractors and insurance, got the right parts under warranty, and above all educated us the whole way. After going through a full remodel, he was one of the only contractors we walked away with having a true comfort level and trust with.

That, and those two fellas are genuinely good, funny, honest guys. Cannot emphasize how much I hate home repairs! When my toilet broke, Indy Water Heater and Softener replied immediately. Danny went to the store and took pictures for me of toilets to choose from and Ronda quickly got me scheduled for an install. Dominick, the installer was awesome! Kurt and Zack installed a new tankless water heater, replacing a 50 gallon tank water heater. Kurt answered my call on Friday afternoon and was at my house first thing Monday morning. After a estimate where he explained everything, I was able to schedule them to install the new water heater the next morning! Indy Water Heater and Softener were called to fix some repairs when moving into my new house. Jim and Chad were the techs that arrived. They were great and did an amazing job fixing all of the repairs. They really went above and beyond (especially with fire pit issue I had). I had a busted valve over my water heater and water spraying across my laundry room yesterday afternoon (Friday). I called my home warranty company and was told no one could come out until Tuesday. My mom got Danny's information from a neighbor and a few minutes later he was at my house fixing the issue. Because of him I didn't have to wait all weekend with water leaking everywhere. Danny and his crew were friendly and kind to both myself and my elderly parents. Things were explained in simple terms that we could understand. They had our issue fixed within a couple of days.

We had purchased a water softener from Lowes and long story short it had be returned. I've worked with Indy Water on multiple occasions. The first time was when we had frozen pipes, and Indy Water was here within 24 hours to help. We had no idea where the frozen pipe was in the house. It was quickly found and fixed. The second time was when we were remodeling a bathroom and Indy Water installed new facets and a shower kit. The most recent time was when we had a leak and Indy Water was here within a couple of hours.

Danny came to the house on a below 0 day in mid-January to give me an estimate for some work in the kitchen. Only by coincidence, I had frozen pipes to my washer that morning. Danny spent two hours in my crawl space getting the pipes unfrozen and then covered my crawl space vents with foam insulation to prevent re-freezing. A couple of weeks later he came back and installed a new kitchen sink, faucet, and disposal. Great work and very good at explaining details.

My water heater went out late on a Saturday night, so on Sunday, I left a communication with them on their web site. They called me shortly after they opened on Monday morning. Were here by 1000, and determined that I needed a new water heater. They went to pick it up and came right back and got it installed.
I was very please with their responsiveness and was lucky they had someone available to help me out. Gerald and Vernon talked to me about how to properly maintain the water heater and maybe this one will last longer.

We moved in our home in March of 2019 and started to notice that we had a water leak with our upstairs bathroom but only noticed after a spot appeared on our downstairs ceiling. Danny and Michael completed a thorough inspection and was able to find the source of our leak. What impressed my wife and I was that they wanted to replicate the leak since it was our boys bathroom and they tend to splash and make a mess so it was hard to tell if it was them or an actual leak. After determining where the leak was coming from it was a quickly fixed. After a couple weeks we had another issue arise and again we called and they responded very quickly and efficiently to repair. Now we are noticing that our master bath is presenting the same issues and I'm about to call them again.

I recently had a broken drain line leak from my condo unit into the unit below. Indy Water Heater and Softener responded same-day to the request for service, and was willing to be flexible with the lower unit tenant's schedule to complete the repairs. Danny assessed the problem and was able to fix it that day, while being mindful to keep costs reasonable. After the necessary repairs were completed, he made sure to stay and double check that everything was draining properly without additional leakage. He then followed up a couple days later to make sure there were no further issues with the work. I would highly recommend Indy Water Heater and Softener.

Of course this had to happen on a Saturday! But Danny took really good care of me. He changed his plans at the last minute to help me with the incompetent moving/instillation crew that wasn't able to install my new washer and dryer. It only took him minutes to solve the problem. What a relief! And because I'm a senior citizen and a retired teacher he even gave me a great discount! Thank you again Danny not only for the efficient way you handled the problem, but also for the kind and professional way that you did it.

I highly recommend IWHAS, and we will definitely call them again next time we need a plumber. Danny and Dominick installed a new sump pump and backup in our house recently. Very courteous, prompt, and reasonably priced. They explained everything to me and made sure I understood the backup pump maintenance. Last night we discovered some water on our floor around the pump. Dominick was back at my house within a couple hours of my calling to report the problem. After a very thorough inspection he figured out the culprit was a nearby window; the water had run down the wall and then towards the pump due to the slope of the floor. We just assumed it was the pump because it had so recently been replaced. Dominick couldn't have been nicer about it, and we weren't charged anything for the time even though it had nothing to do with the pump. I so appreciate the kindness and above-and-beyond service!

Had a leaky shower head and Danny and Dominique just fixed the leak and installed new shutoff valves for a very fair price. A competitor quoted a ton more for not doing as much. These guys were clean and organized. We now have a trusted crew to call for our plumbing needs.

Quick, honest, and caring! Woke up Monday to a sump pump on the brink of failure, called Danny to see if he would be able to assist. He was able to come out the very next morning and replace my bottom of the line pump with a much better grade pump and check valve.

I have an American water heater that was installed in August. It is now leaking from the tank. Danny Gerald will not stand behind the product and I wasn't informed re the 90 day only warranty. I do not want this brand, American since it is a poor brand. Now, I am out for the water heater, the install and having to replace it on my own. Not happy!

I recently purchased a home in Meridian Kessler. During the final stages of the purchase we had some last minute plumbing issues that almost de-railed the closing. Danny came out to the house and worked really hard on solving the problem and making it easy for us to walk in to our new home knowing it was fixed right.

If that wasn't enough we had a booked family vacation that was already planned a few days after our closing. The night before we left some separate issues arose. I immediately new who to call. Danny came out and worked with me while i was 100's of miles away to troubleshoot and fix the problems.

These guys rock!!!! I had a raw sewage smell that a few other plumbers couldn’t find nor resolve. Danny did a great job at resolving the problem and actually brought to my attention other problems that I had and repaired them as well. I would absolutely recommend this company without hesitation.

Called Indy water heater and softener when my water heater went out and the lady was nice and honest said he was booked today but would call him to see if he could make it happen since I had little ones. She called back with in 5 min and said he could make it but it would be later around 5-6pm. The honesty is what sold me. He showed up at 6 was in and out took the old one and all.
You other plumbers should step your hustle up. Everyone else was trying to send someone to “look at it “and said that it would be a couple days before the new one could get put in. THANK YOU!!

If you are need of an honest reliable company- this is the one! Danny came to the rescue when the basement flooded in my home due to 2 faulty sump pumps. Not only did he come after hours, he told me that I needed to get someone ASAP to get the basement dried (and helped me do that). My husband was out of town and I had no clue what to do. Danny was very professional and did a great job adjusting when additional plumbing problems arose. He even took the time to fix another lingering issue in the bathroom while there.

We just moved into an old house and had what I called the creepy room others called it the well house. We had to gut it and redo everything which included reinstall the pressure tank, water softener and re run the water lines.
I got ahold of a plumber who was to busy to do it when we needed it done. However he did give me Danny’s number at Indy Water Heater and Softner and he only had good things to say about him.
I called Danny and he came out the same day to give me a quote and we scheduled the time and date.
The day the work was done he called when he was on his way and arrived ready to go!
Danny is very personal and professional at the same time. One thing that is hard to find is an HONEST person, well I found 1 that day. I had 2 ideas that I ran by him and instead of saying ‘sure we can do that and it will cost however much’ he said ‘we can do that but...’ then went on to explain why I shouldn’t.
I will always call Danny for any water needs that I have and HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone else do too!!!
