Western Exterminator

Once they have your money, they are unresponsive. We had to remove their bait stations for a remodel. They wouldn’t return calls, so we removed them ourselves. Once to remodel was complete, I called 3 times a week, for 6 weeks to get a call back. Every time I asked for a manager or supervisor until finally my little game ended when an appointment was scheduled. Then no one showed up. Called the manager’s personal cell and got rescheduled. This time tech put stations wherever he thought was good, leaving large unprotected areas, and stations randomly placed all over the yard. Another tech had to come out and fix the mess created and even placing additional stations because first guy hadn’t done it right. If we had another $1500 we’d change companies.

We are beyond pleased with our technician Randall. He communicates very effectively and is always here at his scheduled time. If we have any issues in between treatments he’s always here promptly to assist.He goes above and beyond every time he comes out.We really appreciate Randall and the awesome customer service he provides!

Love this company!!! Alejo, our rep is professional and does a great job. If in a blue moon we get a big in the house they are quick to come out again. Can’t say enough about the excellent service they offer!

My experience with this company’s customer service was abysmal. Took 8 days of calling daily to get a call back with an appointment, and I’m an existing customer with a service contract!Appointment was arranged for 11/25/22 with a 5 hour window No technician ever arrived!I called company, no explanation, they told me someone would call me with another appointment!Finally, a technician called me the following Monday and arrived at the scheduled time on Wednesday.The technicians were very polite and I have absolutely no complaint with them.Very bad experience for a long term customer with a contract.

Derrick is very professional and courteous. He communicates well and responds quickly to any issue we are having. We have had issues with crickets and ants in the past, and he has taken care of that problem. I highly recommend Derrick and Western.

Bronson is our tech and he is at our house every 2 months, spraying outside to keep the bugs and other pests from entering our house. He is very knowledgeable and will take the time to explain what chemicals he uses. He also looks for signs of any issues. We are fortunate to have him as our tech

The same person comes to my house each month. I love the communication. The exterminator texts me the night before to let me know to expect them. They text me when they are on the property. They let me know of any concerns. I have used the same company for 13 years aand have been very happy.

I used Western Exterminator in PHX area for weed control. The tech assigned to me always seemed to have an excuse to cancel appointment. Eventually he stopped contacting me for any scheduling, it has been over 18 months since last contact.I also use Western Exterminator in Tucson and have outstanding service and support from Steven for 10 years.

Robert is always such a professional. He seems to care about all my own concerns and really checks over my yard for issues. I have used them a long long time, and I sure appreciate his professionalism. He is not some over sprayer which I appreciate. I use them for their less toxic pest service.

I have been using them for 5 years for my termites because the previous owners had their warranty. In the beginning they were awesome and easy to schedule an appointment in a reasonable amount of time to come to treat the termites. I continue to keep the warranty but their customer service has gone downhill and you have to wait to get someone to come out much longer. I am kind of disappointed. This time they took photos of my termite activity and sent it in and said someone would call me back sometime.

Justin is my Tech. He is always responsive and professional. He always calls before he shows up and if I'm not home he does the job anyway. We haven't had any problems at all since we started using Westwen Extermination almost 4 years. Every time I have an issue, they always get someone out as soon as they can. We really like our service guy Bronson, he's the best. Always pleasant, on time, always explain everything in a way we understand what is needed or being done.
To this date I still recommended Western Exterminator.

I wish I could give this company negative stars. They are HIGHLY unprofessional. BEWARE if you attempt to cancel because they will hold you hostage. My business called to cancel services in May and after 2 months and 4 phone calls, we were finally able to speak to a rep in the District Office SIMPLY TO CANCEL. After speaking on the phone, we were told our services were canceled. However, come August, a technician showed up at our place of business to spray. WE assured us back in June we would not be charged and a technician would be notified NOT to come out. Now, it is the end of August and we are getting harassed by the company to pay an outstanding bill for which we were told by their BILLING department that it would be cancelled out and the employees confirmed our cancellation of service is noted in our account on their end. My last phone call with Carly from AP was highly unprofessional; she was unable to resolve the issue and I was met with the fake apologies I have heard for the last 3 months from WE employees and met with false promises to resolve the issue(s). Carly stated, I do see in your notes you cancelled. Hopefully your invoice dispute will be approved. I have now had to involve the BBB and the Arizona Attorney General simply to resolve the matter with this business. DO NOT do business with this company.

I called Western Exterminator om 10-6 for emergency service to eliminate biting ants on 10-6. I was told that we would hear back on Friday. We did not. I called on Friday and was told that we would be contacted on Saturday. We ere not contacted. The problem persisted and I did what I could and purchased chemicals at Ace Hardware. On Monday, we once again received no response. I finally was able to get a message to our service rep of the last 10 years and he came out and serviced the property. We now have his cell as it is evident that your phone bank is useless to existing customers. We have used Western for over 40 years when it was known as Dollar Pest Control. The only reason that we are remaining customers is our service representative, Eric Morris. I was told that your calls are recorded. I suggest that listen to those calls and find out why no one contacted us as promised.

(I am the church's administrative assistant.) We had termite treatment October 16, 2019 and purchased a 5-year extended warranty at that time. The attached pics show our current situation. We have called numerous times and had two appointments (Jan. 31 & March 8) for re-treatment but nobody showed up or called.

These guys are great! They came out today to do their regular check up and really were fantastic. I have redone my front and back yards and several of the traps had been removed at that time. Today they replace some and repositioned so that all is good. After they were don they checked in with me and said no charge for replacing those. Fantastic!!

I have been very satisfied with WesternExterminator. The technicians are always friendly and helpful if I have an insect or rodent issue. There are a variety of options that they have available since I have dogs and do not like to use chemicals that are bad for their health.

Very happy with the service as I've had no crawling or flying creatures in my house for a long time. I live in the Arizona desert and we have scorpion and spider issues. The technician is prompt, dependable, and polite. He does a very thorough job of spraying the house, guest house and around the yards.

I was going to be a new customer as the previous owner used them. I asked for an appt to go over everything. The employee who contacted me never got back to me. I emailed him again, the email bounced back. I reached out on line. No one got back to me but they sent a bill for an inspection that never happened. No one even came the date listed as the inspection date as I was home and no one came. No business from me now.

Also do a great job with our inspection. Never have to call about the service, they always let me know when they are coming to the house for the inspection. I highly recommend this company for pest service.

Tech always comes on Wednesday. We have repeatedly asked him to come Thursday afternoons after 1. We have dogs

We have been using this company for a year now. The service has been very good. No more bugs in our condo.

Worst business EVER. I have a live animal in my wall. I called Sunday they said they could come out Tuesday. So I take the day off work they will be coming between 1-5. It gets to be 4:08 so I call the lady says yes it’s confirmed he will be there and he will call on his way and confirms my phone number. It gets to be 6. I call again and they are like hmm we can’t find you at all in the system. Leaves me on hold for 40 minutes!!!! I finally just hung up. My whole community uses them and believe me I will be telling our HOA they need to drop this worthless business.

We got an infestation of ants in the kitchen. They were everywhere. We called and Western promised to send some out. After repeated Ed calls we finally “Exterminated” our service with Wester. Another company quickly responded and too care of the problem. This wasn’t the first time we had problems getting Western to the house.

I have used Western Exterminator for more than a decade. Their employees are conscientious and professional. And they do not unnecessarily push or cross sell services, which I appreciate.

Quality vendor, they keep our house safe from Termite damage!

We were customers of AZ exterminating for about 15 years before it was bought out by Western Exterminator. Once they took over customer service went downhill. We realized we were no longer dealing with a local company when all of our calls went to a phone service in California and it took forever to get on the calendar when termites appeared at our home. We gave them a chance for a few years, but ended up cancelling with them on 1/29/21. Our last service with them was on 12/5/20 for our scheduled pest control. 8 months later we received a collections notice stating that we owed WE $103.50 from an outstanding bill. Hard to pay a bill when we weren't aware there was an outstanding balance. We did not receive one past due notice or phone call in that time period saying that we had a bill with them. And on top of this our bill was paid by autopay every month for years. They had our credit card on file for payment. I called WE when we received the collections bill and the billing department would not even discuss with me the fact that they we had never sent us a bill or that we were on autopay! This was the fault of WE and now they are screwing with my credit. In the nearly 20 years that we were with AZ and WE exterminator we never once had a past due bill. Do you research WE before you send out a collections notice. Just another example of your poor customer service. Update: still waiting for you to reach out to me WE.May 2022 update: I never heard back from WE! It's been 7 months since my complaint.

We've been using Western Exterminator since moving to Gold Canyon. They have always been extremely responsive to our inquiries. They arrive timely, do their work quickly.

I used the service to keep all pest down. The agent Justin that is assigned to my area, is always on time, works with me on the scheduling ,because my spouse works at nite and sleep during the day. And he is always willing to try and work around his schedule. He makes sure he explains what he have seen around the house and if it might be a problem or he went ahead and took care of it. Ruben comes once a month to spray and inspect for pests. Whenever we have the occasional scorpion sighting or an infestation of bugs in the neighborhood we discuss it with him and he always knows exactly what the critters are and takes care of it for us on our property. I had scheduled a termite inspection by your company for this morning between 8:00 and 12:00. No service person came or called. I called your company at 11:19 and again at11:30 but received no assurance that a service person would come. I called again at 12:50 and was told that the appointment was scheduled for Jan. 19. I have a Jan 5 email confirming today’s service date. Poor business and poor communication practice. Tom Harris

I was a customer of Western Exterminator for over 8 years. When we sold our house in November to move out of state I called and cancelled our services. We had been billed bi-monthly and over paid by $50. At the time I was told it takes up to 5 weeks to get a refund. I called at the end of December because I hadn’t seen a credit and was told a refund would be issued. Again mid-January... a credit would be issued. Still unresolved by Jan 22 I asked to speak to someone higher up. The assistant to a district manager did finally call me back and said they would make sure the check would be mailed. Here we are on February 12. No check. No response. Nothing. I would have recommended this company but cannot based on this terrible customer service. When you call you can’t get through to anyone in the department that can actually help. Buyer beware of this company.

We appreciate having the service even though we aren’t here all the time. But we would like to have the ‘sticky boxes’ to use in our garage to catch little creatures we do not want in our homes. But we have not been left those since last spring.

Inspector Mike was arrogant and totally disrespectful to me. I have been with Western for about 30 years and have never been treated like this. When I questioned him for telling me I need a whole house treatment as insurance, he LAUGHED at me. I was told years ago when I signed up for yearly renewals, all problems pertaining to termites would be taken care of. That was the purpose of the annual fee. So, thanks to SMART ALEC Mike, it's time for me to move on to another service; one that does not want to SCAM me. Adios to Western after 30 years, thanks to ARROGANT Mike!

Western Exterminator comes every three months for a basic maintenance service. Our main concern are scorpions.

Ruben contacted me the day before he came out for the service to let me know he'd be at my house between 8AM & 10AM. He also contacted me the day of the service to advise he was 10 minutes out. He was very conscientious and did the treatment professionally. He took the time to explain what will cause mosquitoes to spread in the summer months and what I should do for prevention. I was very pleased with the service.

Having an exterminator like Western Exterminator as a service is well worth it in Arizona! I’m not a fan of bugs co-existing with me in my home, and they successfully keep them out. My service tech, Chuck, is the best too. He’s so knowledgeable in his line of work. He always answers to my distressed calls without delay.

We have employed Western Exterminators for our pest control needs for a number of years now. We have found them to be reliable, trustworthy (we're not always home when they come), effective, reasonable service charge, willing to come back to our home should a need arise in the middle of our monthly schedule, always calls the day before they come, and the various specialists have always been very friendly! Couldn't ask for better customer service than that!

Been using these guys for years and all the techs have been super friendly. Very conscientious about spraying and dusting spider webs and even took care of some wasps for me.

Our tech, Remsey is fantastic. He is very consistent and the friendliest vendor we have at our office. He does great work and is always helpful when we have questions. We have had ZERO pest problems since we started using Western Exterminator Company and there was a terrible infestation from an old restaurant that never cleaned and used to be on the 1st floor of our space. We are very happy with Remsey! I highly recommend him.

I have no complaints about the service per se, but rather the lack of communication on rate changes. I've seen the rates increase several times since I started using them (first as AZ Exterminating), and I have NEVER been notified of an upcoming rate increase. First I know is when I see the charge to my credit card. Poor business practice in my opinion

Had Western do repairs on screening for pigeons on our roof and seal penetrations against rodent entry. They were courteous, informative as to the time of service and work to be done. Quality of work was excellent.

I signed up for monthly service, and they have not been out for several months. I found a few scorpions in my house, and it took several weeks to get any response.

Seems to be working. On the every two month program.

I was in desperate need of termite control. I called a popular company thinking they could help. It didnt work out because the sales rep was not clear and upfront with me. A coworker referred me to Western Exterminator. Wow! I was impressed with the sales rep Mike but even more impressed when Javier and his helper showed up to do the treatment. They were punctual, thorough and showed respect for my property. Thank you!

Western Exterminator did a good job of killing off my termite attack BUT these people now won’t go away! It has been 2 years since I paid my bill in full and my house perimeter was treated. Now, for the second year in a row, I received an additional bill for $253.00. I immediately phoned and was told that my property was recently inspected in order to keep the property in warranty! What? Was this authorized, I asked. No, was their response. So I then asked when did the inspection occur? They didn’t know because it was not in the notes! I let them know I NO LONGER OWNED THE PROPERTY (which is true) and they needed to quit their “warranty renewal act!”

Have had great service from Arizona Exterminator, who recently became Western Exterminator. Had service recently with new technician after routes were re-arranged. I am not getting the quality of service like the previous tech. I still hear crickets in the yard, which can be food for scorpions. We try extensively to keep the scorpions outside the home but this may not be possible if the crickets issue cannot be addressed. This may just be a co-incidence that the crickets are not being dealt with appropriately. It could be the weather that has hatched more crickets that usual.

Good sevice by John for my home. Chemicals used seem to help cut down on the pests within the home. My only issue with the company is the short 12 hour notice given the night before to service the home. This is not the most efficient way to conduct service

Tried calling you Corp office or even a local office and can only get a new or old customer order line and they don't know how one can call a GM or someone who over looks you trucks. Truck Lic # CAS1697 needs to learn about ADA/handicap parking spots laws and when asked to show H/C card or need to move he gets a big attitude ? Really - have no respect for ADA LAWS OR HANDICAP PARKING SPOTS AND WHO THEY ARE FOR... Remember your name is on the truck and it don't look good when a handicap person needs it and can't use it because your drivers/rep's feel they are better than reading a marked and posted sign and they don't care .. ??????

The best part of your company is Ruben, our service man. He calls the day before to let us know he's coming and he always asks if we need something special, i.e. have we seen any rodents or scorpions around.

I had (and still have) an invasion of what the technicians determined to be carpet beetles. This was interesting because I have no carpets in my home. They sprayed the outside perimeter of my home and told me that in a few days to a week they would go away.As of today (over 2 weeks later) I am still seeing them in my kitchen, which is where I first started seeing them. I had this problem several months ago and the technician treated them by spraying outside and in two days they were gone.I certainly don't want to go through the expense of a fumigation and can't believe these can't be treated successfully without that. I have been a loyal customer of Western Exterminator for several years and this is the first time I have not been happy with the results. Therefore, I can only give three stars at the present time.

These guys WILL NOT stop calling me despite repeated requests to be removed from their database. Their call centers just play games and will never transfer me to a corporate office and continue to give me the run around. I have never even done business with company nor would I at this point. Sales must be down and I can see why. I feel sorry for anyone that has done business with these people as I'm sure their phones get blown up constantly by their obsessive robocalls.

Ruben Chavez always comes when he says he will. He listens to our complaints and insects and rectifies the problem. I'm very satisfied.

$6300 later and my house is still unlivable. I've been dealing with bird mites for a long time. I had my doubts about fumigation taking care of the problem entirely. Bird mites are not researched and most of the info is incorrect. The fumigation would have probably worked if they left my house tented for a week so as the eggs hatch it would kill the bugs. I don't know if that's even legal? I expressed my concern and was assured it kills everything. Anyways, it was a lot of money to spend and I'm literally living in my back yard so I'm not attacked by mites. The guy that showed up to do the work said it was hit or miss with bird mites. I would have loved to hear that before wasting so much money.

These guys are great. They listened to what I needed when I needed it as well as providing suggestions and options for now and in the future. They communicate well and show up when they say they will. Thank you for also tolerating my dogs!

There are way too many honest exterminators to put up with these pests.I paid my last bill with Arizona Exterminators years ago and canceled the account. Ever since they’ve been purchased, the new company (Western Exterminator) keeps trying to charge us for service. We moved out of state more than three years ago, and they keep hassling us with new bills from services supposedly rendered way after we moved out. Stay far away from this company.

They work independently, come and go without needing my help.If there is a downside, it is that they only have one rat trap in my entire backyard. I have seen roofrats. I have caught one myself and they have caught one.I prepaid for a year ($840). It was expensive but I hate having those rats in my yard and one even got into my home!

Sadly they only get one star. This used to be a reputable business as it was Arizona Exterminator. Now the customer service has gone downhill. You never know what serviceman you will get. Unreliable is the only word that comes to mind.

Really like this Extermination Company, but that could be because our exterminator Matt is very caring. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats and he is careful as to where and how he sprays and gets the job done. NO BUGS!! THANKS MATT!

I’d been happy until the last few months when they changed ownership again. I sent the November payment and then January through my bank, but they didn’t have a record of it. I wish they’d get this straightened out.
