ACME Locksmith - Phoenix Shop and Service

ACME Locksmith is one of the very few locksmith shops you can go into. Just about all were mobile and will tack on an additional fee just to get to you. I ordered a proximity key fob online. My car is equipped with push button ignition start. The fob came with directions to program it but I first had to go to locksmith or dealer to get it cut. Found ACME thru Google and Shawn helped me out right away and cut the key. When I got to my car I was following the directions that came with key but it wouldn't program. After awhile Shawn came out and started to help me but still car wouldn't start. We tried and tried. We were there a while trying to figure it out together and then suddenly success! My car is a Buick and the key fob indentation in center console to program new keys is facing the wrong way (door to door). Turned the fob so it was now oriented hood to trunk. It started when ignition button was pressed. We both gave a sigh of relief and happy. I'm recommending this place to everyone I know. You know, he didn't have to come out to try and help but he did. He's a pretty cool guy. Thanks Shawn! The first 2 pics shows how we placed the key cause that's what the indentation indicates the key should be, but it didn't work. Second pic is the position we moved it to. That worked. Hope this helps someone that finds themselves in the predicament I was in.

Fantastic service! Shawn was great and was able to help me wipe all keys from my truck and resync the original and 2 new ones. Don't Go To The Dealers and get ripped off! Go to Shawn and spend 10 mins with him!

Big Mike saved the day! Me and my pup had been outside for about an hour in the phoenix heat trying to get into my house, I called ACME and Mike said he'd be able to make it out in about 20 mins, he showed up on time if not sooner AND went above and beyond and gave me water bottle for me and my pup who at this point was panting pretty aggressively for water. Getting us in the house would have been enough but him going above and beyond with his great attitude and handing us water will definitely make them the first person i call in any other lockout situation. Great, efficient, fast service. They came within a few hours, we're quick, polite, and did a great job, exactly what we needed.

I contacted this company regarding not being able to open my digital safe. They asked for all information regarding the safe and said they'd get right back with me as soon as they gathered all the equipment they'd need to open my safe. Three days later I received an email saying that I'd need to contact a professional safe/ lock company and have my safe drilled. Which would have cost a minimum of $1,000.00, plus my safe would have been ruined, and I would have had to buy another one. Now, they advertise that they are a professional safe and lock company, but I guess they are not after all. Later that day I did speak to a lock smith that advised me to replace the keypad, which I ordered along with new lock on Amazon for $80.00. Once I installed it, my safe opened. This company by their own admission is not a professional safe & lock company. If I could give minus stars I would do so. They almost cost me thousands of dollars.
In response to your reply, which I was able to reply to via email, I did indeed attach a copy of the email that I received from Acme-Phoenix. And as you can see it clearly states it is from Acme-Phoenix and that I would need to call A-Proffessional Locksmith in Chandler. If I could attach a copy here I would. Only because you are saying I am mistaken, which I certainly am not. I am as surprised as you are that I received such a reply from your company. That is why I thought it important to say so on my review.

They came out to install new hardware, make additional keys, repair a deadbolt on a second door, etc. our locksmith Carter was knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions. I needed a duplicate remote car key made and ACME was extremely helpful. The Toyota dealership wanted over $300.

ACME cut my key and programmed it for $73. They did all this in around 30 minutes. The key itself was only $20 online making my total cost about $93! I recommend contacting them if you want to make a duplicate key for your automobile.

I've ordered two new keys for my magnum through ACME at half the price of the dealership. When the keys arrive and I take them to the ACME location, i will get an extra percentage off of the programming fee since I purchased the keys through ACME. So far so good! I'm so grateful there's another option besides the dealership

Update: I received my keys via UPS right on time and called right away for an appt. Without delay my call was returned, and within 15 minutes I was at 12th street and Glendale and Drew was cutting my new keys! It was 117° in Phoenix yesterday but Drew programmed my new keys in that hot car without a complaint and within 15 minutes I was paid and out the door! I'm so very grateful and impressed with the professionalism and talent. Thank you and my keys work perfectly. ACME saved me $220 over the dealership! Customer for life!

It was easy to set up an appointment online and reduce the trip charge. Texts confirmed the appointment time and the arrival time for service. Mike was professional, thoughtful, and he quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Overall, it was a great experience.

Truly can't even put into words how awful my experience was with ACME locksmith. I urge any potential customer to think twice before utilizing this service. Not only will you be left high and dry when the 30 day warranty expires shortly after your installation, but you will be undervalued and dismissed as a customer.

The company installed a lock for our company that utilized a remote control. Installing the lock was a huge headache in itself since the company sent us the wrong lock initially. About a month later (right after the hardware warranty expired), the lock started to act up so I called the number on the quote. Even though I clearly specified our customer information, the woman on the line (Amber), did not look up our invoice to confirm what services and hardware we had purchased. She then proceeded to insist that I hadn't purchased a lock with them and that we had bought another cheap device and then hung up on me. After recovering the invoice number from my files in order to confirm our purchase, I called back a total 4 times. Each time I was urged that Eric would be calling me back shortly. I was never called back and left to handle the issue myself even though the service warranty was still in effect. Truly an awful experience - and i hope this account saves someone else from a similar experience.

Mike worked on my safe and probably saved me $150 in the process by making simple adjustments. Very professional, punctual, and a good work ethic. I would not hesitate to recommend Acme to anyone. Hopefully I will not need a locksmith again anytime soon, but if I do, they will be the only ones I call.

Had a key made by Drew and he was easily one of the friendliest people I've met. Great customer service. It was 10 minutes before closing time and had to walk back to my car around the corner to make sure the key worked and he told me just to give him a call if I had any issues and he would stay open a little later to make sure it was taken care of. Highly recommend!

Steven not only greeted me with a friendly smile and demeanor, but he also went above and beyond with preparing my laser cut keys. He also made sure to inform me on how to properly test the keys, and that if there was any problems to bring them back so that he can fix them. I was also able to witness him greet customers waiting in line assuring them he'd be with them soon, while still taking care of my order. Very warm and friendly experience and I highly recommended this location.

I went there twice and received great and honest service. The manager was very upfront about what to expect. He programmed my new key for my Dodge Charger in less than 10 minutes!!! I went to ACME on 8.24.16 because I lost my keys to my Lexus GS300. I was greeted by a young man name Brian.Brian went above and beyond for me. Brian was absolutely wonder. He was nice and kind to my family and I. He provided me with A+ customer service. I would definitely go back if needed and would definitely recommend this locksmith. Drew, the store manager was super helpful and efficient for what I needed. I needed a spare transponder key made for my car and he was upfront with the cost to cut the key and program it. The process was quick and the cost was reasonable. Will definitely recommend to friends and family this business.

Had a great experience at ACME Locksmith today. The guy was friendly and knowledgeable. I had him program a new FOB for my 2008 Camry and create a new physical key. It only took about 15-20 minutes to do both and check that both worked correctly on my car. Thanks for the good work!

I had 5 door locks re-keyed. I dropped them off at the shop (I don't like paying the house call fee) and they were done in about 2 hours, and he had locks to do before he got to me. The keys turned the locks like butter - no wiggle room at all. The locks all felt and operated better than when I brought them in. Prices are very good.

I am so thankful for this company! I lost my daughters key fob and was going to have it towed to the dealership for an outrageous cost, until a friend told me to use ACME.

I had a great experience with ACME Locksmith! They were very helpful and efficient with my home lock out. Scheduling the service was very easy and friendly. Ryan came out to unlock 4 of my front door locks. He showed up earlier than expected and charged a reasonable price. He was very helpful during my stressful situation. I really appreciate their great service!

The back of my car key had cracked and a large piece had fallen off. I stopped by ACME without calling to make an appointment or to even see if they would be able to help. Drew helped me right away and was able to fix my key in literally two minutes. It is as good as new! He could have told me that I needed an entirely new key (which would have been significantly more expensive), but instead, he just replaced the back piece for me. I was only charged $15 (way less than I was anticipating)! I will continue to go back to ACME anytime I need a fix!

My three year old locked us out of the house last night! Thank goodness we were on our way out and didn't need to call someone at 9:30! But in the morning I called ACME to come unlock the door for us! My gun safe would not open, set an appointment with ACME . They sent an advance text, just like they said they would. Big Mike arrived, diagnosed the problem (bad keypad); Mike had a replacement keypad with him, replaced the keypad, -safe as good as new. A different locksmith company came out and tried to rekey my 350z, charged me 200 bucks for a key that wouldn't program to my car and tried to tell me my perfectly working BCM was bad. Andrew Ramajas saved the day in less than 30 minutes! On Memprial day no less! I really cannot express how grateful I am. Thank you again!! Would definitely recommend this company to anyone!

Locked my keys in my van at Home Depot. Called ACME locksmith along with a few other companies and Drew from ACME was on site before I even received calls back from other vendors. Drew was extremely professional and knowledgeable and got the door unlocked within minutes. It worth every penny of the fee. Would highly recommend ACME to anyone in need.

My wife's car key broke in half on a Friday night after hours and called Acme to see what they could do for us. The gentleman on the phone was very knowledgeable and shared that knowledge with me. Very Honest!!!
He didn't try and get me to spend a boat load of money unless I needed too.
We even drove from Mesa to the Phoenix shop to get a key the next day. We could have went to a couple of places closer, but I liked these guys.
The guy at the shop was helpful and saved us 30 bucks by suggesting a different approach when they could have easily got us for it.

I called Acme when the key broke off in my security door. The gentleman on the phone were very helpful and friendly. Drew came to repair the lock. He was awesome. He quickly removed the broken key and made the locks work better than the ever had before. I highly recommend Acme!!

I contacted ACME Locksmith to get some help getting a key made for an outdoor shed. The shed had a locking handle on it, but was there when I bought the house and I never got a key from the previous owners. So, the shed has just been unlocked for years. Unfortunately, someone decided to jump my wall and steal my bike from the shed recently. So I needed a solution.

The process was so simple. Drew asked me to send over a pic of the lock I needed a key for and within minutes I got a reply that he could cut a key. The Phoenix shop is pretty close to my house and I drive over and had my new keys in less than 5 mins.

ACME was not really the only affordable company that was willing to work with me and my schedule, but they went above and beyond expectations. They were so willing to help and so personable, they actually listened to what I needed instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive option. Tom and Bobby, were the technicians thatcame out to help and they were both wonderful! I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Stopped in a few months ago for some questions about a safe I had lost the combination to. The staff was very helpful in helping me with my different options and offered me a few choices at a range of prices. He was never pushy and very understanding of my situation. He was also helpful in answering are few other questions I had and showed me some products that might work with some projects I had. I may have been in the store for about 20-30 minutes without actually buying anything and never felt rushed or like I was wasting his time. As luck would have it I stopped by my folks place on the way home to think about my situation and look one more time for the combination. I told my dad what I was up to and he happened to have the combo on his phone. Even though I ended up not needing their services I was happy with the way I was treated and will make sure they are my first choice when I do need them in the future.

I contacted this establishment to get my new door locks re-keyed. I spoke with a gentleman named Mike who said he could come by the next day to do the job. He texted me to confirm the appointment. I then got another call from Mike to let me know that one of his employees lives in our area and would be there the next morning if that worked for me. Wow...such service! I received a text letting me know that this gentleman would be arriving shortly. He arrived around 8am, re-keyed 5 locks, made two extra keys all within an hour. He was professional, and personable. I would recommend this establishment to friends and family.

My car was stolen. A spare key was in the car. Needed to change the locks in the house. Google locksmiths and found Acme and many, many glowing reviews. Called late Friday afternoon. Talked to Brian and he set up a Monday morning appointment. Monday A.M. Ryan called, told us when he would be there, showed up on time and rekeyed all the locks. Ryan was very informative and professional and business like. The job was done quickly and efficiently and at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend Acme to anyone.

Drew made some keys for my motorcycle that I had been to three other places that could not make them I highly recommend this shop to anybody for anything they also have a mobile service I was told you take a picture of your key with a number on it and they will come out and make the key for you these are great people very personable and easy to get along with I highly recommend them I will personally be using them from now on for all my lock and key problems !!! My husband went in to the Phoenix location and had a great experience with Brian. He didn't expect anything but received the best customer service and ingenious solution to a very rare lock for an old machine. The prices are terrific and the work is fantastic.

Bobby was unbelievable. I had just taken possession of a house and had to have 9 locks re-keyed, garage doors reset and new remotes for the garages. I called at 2:00 p.m. He got there in 30 minutes. Installed a double deadbolt after having it rekeyed and couldn’t get it to function properly. Big Mike came to the house that same day, resolved two issues with the lock (one of which was installer error...ok, so I’m def not handy!) in a timely manner. I recently encountered difficulty starting my car with my key. After talking with Sean @ Acme he was able to help me fix the problem. In fact, he did NOT charge me for the time and advice he gave me. I returned to get a spare key made. Sean was very helpful and attentive to my needs. The new key works as well as the master.

Loved this place, my safes batteries died and I had lost the key. I brought it in and Andrew had my safe open in literally 2 minutes and replaced my batteries and I was out the door in 5 minutes. Andrew was super helpful and extremely reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place.

When your key fob breaks...getting a replacement is such a headache. The dealership charges $150 or more just for programming the key fob. Plus you have to make an appointment and sit around for hours. Drew had me in and out in less than 10 minutes. For no where near what the dealership charges.

I just got the keys to my first house yesterday and it was recommended to me to get the locks changed asap for obvious reasons. My Realtor, Lisa Zaklan with Keller Realty, recommended ACME to me. I called them up this morning and they were able to make an appointment with me at MY earliest convince SAME DAY. The locksmith I had was Matt and let me tell you, he was fantastic! He showed up on time and quickly changed my six locks. He also took the time to walk show me some priceless safety tips in my garage with my garage door that I would have never even thought about.

Great service. Mike was really nice even tho he was on call and had just finished his normal shift. My Lexus is one hard car to get into if you lock your keys in it. The locks will re-lock themselves within a second of being unlocked. So you have to be dan good to get this car open. Other companies that have done this have taken upwards of a hour to get my car unlocked. Not Mike! He got my car open in less than 5 mins. I lost the key to my Ural motorcycle and I needed a spare to my new pickup.
Andrew took owneship of my problem and found the wierd little blank and hand cut my motorcycle key at less than 1/2 the price of just the key BLANK I'd ordered from Ural.

I had a Kwikset Smartkey deadbolt that I needed to rekey, but had lost the working key. A couple of YouTube videos later about how to rekey without a working key, I gave it a try. Couldn’t get it to work, but did manage to get it jammed. Took it to Acme Locksmith at 12th st. and Glendale. Brian there said no problem, I can fix it. Upon returning, the lock was in perfect working order. Excellent company. You need to use these guys.

The Only Locksmith i trust locally. The service and reaction time to my particular emergency (disappearing car key) was worthy of a $500 value IMO. They solved the issue for significantly less even with a tip. I have been a customer for over 12 years.

Whoever said, There are no accidents was right because I found ACME Locksmith by accident and it was actually a good fortune! I'd been having problems with a certain key and did not know where to turn for help. Using a search engine and some intuition, I found ACME and took the key in for assessment. What I got was true information that helped direct me back to the source of the problem for a perfect solution. When I went back to ACME I was pleased with the customer service and the price of the correction. This is THE place to go for relief of any sticky lock issues.

$180 for a 3 minute service call. They tell you $59 minimum, but what they don't tell you is the $120 additional for the techs minimum labor fee. Seriously, it took him longer to do the invoice than the repair.

They showed up on time, text and phone call. Did a fast job for a good price. I will use them again for a new key fob.

87 Corvette with the tricky VATs security system needed to be rekeyed with a new cylinder. I was warned in advance it was a tough job but Bobby figured it out, even with a few curve balls. I won't pretend it was cheap, but a running vehicle is worth far more than large 4 wheeled paper weight.

My 1989 Corvette passenger door was locked shut and after many weeks of calling several locksmiths that did NOT show or call to cancel appointments.
