G & M Plumbing, Inc.

We hired G&M to replace our drain lines in our 70 year old home. They had a very competitive price and did a great job. This was over the holidays when there was a lot of bad weather, which slowed them down a bit, but that was not under their control.

I've finally found my go to plumber. Eric arrived on time and did an outstanding job. The price was more than reasonable. G&M is the best. There's no reason to call anyone else.

I've used G&M for several projects, both large and small, over the years. I recommend them whenever I'm asked do you know a good plumber. They are an honest and dependable family-run business.

Eric, of G&M plumbing, was amazing. He was on time, friendly, explained what he was doing and showed me the problem pipe once he was finished. Great, family owned business. I will use them again and highly recommend.

We're used G&M for several years, including redoing all the plumbing after a foundation repair at our old house, and several jobs at our new home. Awesome team, work is always top notch.

Instead of profiting off of our situation, they told me there was a chance my waste line leak was on the city side and to try the city emergency plumbing number. Sure enough, it was on the city side and we got the cracked waste line by the sidewalk replaced at no cost by the city. We’d already had 2 different plumbers out to snake/scope that line and no one else mentioned it. Class act, will always use this company.

G&M Plumbing has continued to be remarkable over the years. I regularly refer this family owned business to my clients in need. After the recent winter storm, this time I was in need of a plumber to install an on-demand water heater ASAP because my tenant had been without hot water for about a week. They were able to get Gus out quickly and the install was professionally completed. I have complete confidence in this plumbing company and highly recommend.

The guys at G&M plumbing are the best!!!!! When they say family owned and operated they mean it. They answer right away, they are friendly and honest about what their schedule looks like etc. They come when promised and take care of the repairs as quickly as possible. They are the only plumbers we will use and the only ones we will refer all of our customers to.

I would like to complement the staff at G&M Plumbing for their exceptional service in coming out and providing hydrostatic testing of our plumbing lines. They were extremely professional, even fixed a couple of other issue that they noticed, and offered advice on a future project and what to look out for. Will absolutely reach out them in the next event that a plumbing service is needed.

We called G&M out to help our elderly neighbor across the street (we've previously used them for our home) to help her find where this massive water leak had come from. They came out within a few hours, located the leak, and repaired it! She was beyond pleased at the service and price! We will never use anyone else for all our family and neighbor's needs too! Thanks guys!

We are so happy to have found such an incredible plumber in Austin- so much so that it's prompted me to write my first google review. I had an emergency plumbing incident that required me to shut off the water to my house and every plumber I called had no availability to come fix it that day. I saw folks from G&M outside of my neighbor's house and went up to them as a last resort. Gus (the owner) was a complete life saver and dropped everything to came to my house on the spot to fix the issue! Gus is amazing and I can't recommend him enough!

Twice we’ve used G&M over the last couple years. Always responsive, pleasant to deal with and reasonable.

This would've been a positive review since they are friendly, but unfortunately they are not affordable. Their rate is $175 per hour, which is at the highest end that plumbers charge nationally. Based on what I see on Yelp, they used to be reasonable with cost but more recent reviews shows that isn't the case anymore.If you need any permits, be aware that something that cost them $50 was passed on to me as $200, and they weren't willing to give a lower rate. The plumber also originally mentioned a payment plan of some sort when I expressed concern about money, but that doesn't seem to be actually the case when I got the bill. I'm lucky it was a relatively small job to just do a gas pressure test, but the $625 total was after I've already been hit by so many other expenses after the freeze.Texas Gas also noted that the 8 PSI of pressure they used for a test was a lot more air pressure than required for a safety inspection. If they had used the required pressure, Texas Gas serviceman said that a small pressure leak wouldn't have occurred, which would've saved the effort they put in locating a leak that was never there since I've owned the house. It seems other plumbers may do this too, so you can try asking your plumber if they could just use the pressure actually required by the City of Austin.

Eric arrived on time and replaced four old valves in short order. The cost was very reasonable. I could not be more pleased with the work or level of service. I highly recommend G&M Plumbing.

I don’t use anyone else these days. This is a family-run business and I have a lot of respect for the owner (Gus) because he does great work and they always show up early or perfectly on time. Sonny in the office is always so easy/great to work with.

They were a little pricey but the service was very good.

This company doubled my quote once it was time for payment and would not share material cost details on the invoice. Do not recommend if you care about budgeting, clarity and professionalism. Will not be using again.

Gus and his team are amazing. They were able to pin point the problem and fix it in a timely matter. The office staff (Lucy) was spectacular. I highly recommend their services.

G&M are the best in town.

Great company

I have been relying on G&M Plumbing's services since moving into my house 4+ years ago, and they continue to provide excellent service with fast turnarounds and fair pricing.They've done everything from replacing the water heater in my attic, reconnecting a dislocated shower drain pipe under my house, and making absolutely sure everything is done to code.I would highly recommend their business! They have never charged hidden fees, and have always honored the warrantees of my equipment.
