What a strange experience. Over the phone, they quoted me $80 to replace a wax seal on a toilet, came out pretty quickly, and went to work. After 10 mins, they left without a word. I thought the guys had just gone to their car for a tool or something, but they drove off, no explanation, no bill.
A month later I get a bill for $200!! When I call, no one answers. Next month, another bill. I call again- no answer. I keep calling until I get a lady who tells me they don’t take credit cards, only cash, and I have to bring it to their office.
On my next weekday off, I go to the office, and it’s abandoned. No cars, no lights, nada. I call- no answer. I get a voicemail later, and the lady tells me there’s been a death in the business that’s why they were gone. I try to call back the next day to send my condolences and figure out just what in the hell is going on with this bill. No answer. No callback.
After a few months of silence, I get another bill yesterday. I call today to see if I can come in and talk about this, but the guy says he doesn’t “do money” and they’re about to close anyway. It’s 3pm.
I don’t know what to think at this point. I’m willing to pay the quoted price for services rendered because the repair seems to have been done correctly, but this company seriously needs to work on their professionalism and communication.
